i personally believe that sera is GENUINELY terrified of all that is going on, and actually, i think that comparing her to carmilla is a pretty good way to characterize them both; willing to do ANYTHING to protect those they love
Considering that God is basically nowhere to be seen, I can imagine that God is the person who decides who goes to heaven or hell and Sera’s role is to basically be the God’s enforcer We are literally told that there is *something* going on that no one else knows. Figuring out exactly how Sera is restrained from making certain decisions is definitely going to be a major plot point
The reason for Angel's bravery is simple: 1. He was fighting for a friend. 2. He now knows that when he falls down, he has people who will help him get back up. 3. There is probably a little booze involved but mostly one and two.
Sort of, but the most obvious thing is that _Angel was always like this._ It's not always apparent because of what it takes to get by in Hell, but he's a good person deserving of the bonds he's made with other people.
Regardless of the reasons, it is shown that he actually is a prime candidate for rehabilitation. He was always somewhat selfish, mostly using the Hotel as free bed and board and keeping drug stashes throughout, but this episode showed that the Hotel has actually been good for him as he looked out for Niffty throughout the whole night, wasn't as quick to do drugs as he normally would be and even stood up to Valentino to protect his friend, even if it meant that he was going to end up paying for it the next day.
The way Charlie and Emily reprise the refrain of "Hell Is Forever." With new lyrics that call out Sera and Adam's hypocrisy is just glorious. "You Didn't Know" as a whole is amazing, but that part hit's especially hard.
@@fantasy-writer-v5zThe seven vices are stuff that humans naturally do. Everyone is lazy or angry sometimes, everyone felt envy even if it's bad. I guess the intention is for people to avoid these, but if Christianity expects its members to not ever comit it then it is absurd. I'm on a Christian family aswell and I used to be dedicated, but a thing that motivated me to not like this religion anymore is the bible itself. Like, God turning his enemies on a carpet for his feet? Really? That's the way of the perfect angelic dick of making things right?
I can't get over the "It's not fair, Sera" at 20:29. The build up emotions are s t r o n g. Charlie's facial expression just hits hard. This song was soooooo good.
This episode has made *Emily* my favorite Angel so far, whilst also reaffirming how much I hate *Adam and Lute.* Edit: 🤞I’m really hoping nothing bad happens to Emily in future seasons and if she does end up “falling,” she’s given asylum in the Hazbin Hotel.🤞✊🔛🪵
Wrong. You’re favorite angel is Vaggie. How dare you have your own opinion and your favorite characters being different than mine! Lol I’m joking pls don’t flame me.
The fact that Valentino and Angel most likely were a thing before he signed the contract will haunt me forever. (The contract is signed with a heart next to the name, fat nuggets was confirmed to have been a gift from Val and also just the fact that its weird for angel to just sign the contract for no reason)
I meeeeean... have you SEEN Valentino? He literally FLIRTS with people when he tries to recruit them and tries to make them feel special and beautiful. Angel just fell for his bullshit (and possibly for him as a whole) like the rest of the poor souls he owns. Like Husk said,Angel isn't special,he's one of many.
@@jos-josradvanji6203 yea I mean obviously I know Val wasn't actually in love with him or anything but just thinking about the fact that Angel most likely had genuine feelings Fo him is devastating to me
They're the nightmare version of Fizz and Asmodius. From Angel's perspective, they probably were the same once. It's a brilliant use of "What if" character creation
Also, back in the first episode, during Charlie's "Happy Day In Hell" song, when Vaggie chimes in that angels are "bloodthirsty and deranged"... no one knows that more than she does...
"This court finds that there is no evidence souls in hell can be redeemed" needs clarification, she is not saying a human soul cannot improve, but that despite a soul improving Angel still has not magically popped in heaven which is what she reffer as "redeemed". Angel did not get redeemed despite his effort, thus there is no evidence that charlie's project works, therefore extermination stays to maintain "peace" in heaven and avoid uprising
If a demon doesn't deserve redemption then they won't be redeemed yet if the somehow magically do get redeemed then they clearly deserve redemption@@nethal8506
Emily is such a sweetie! 12:04 Vaggie: "Was that you being homophobic or demonophobic?" Lute: "Whichever pisses you off more." Also, "Oh no, [s]he's HOT!"
Lucifer likes rubber ducks because Charlie makes the same squeak when she's hugged, and he makes them to remember her. You can hear it when he hugs her in episode 5 at the beginning
This puts Vaggie meeting Lucifer in episode 5 into a new context. It's wasn't just a "meeting your girlfriend's dad for the first time"-situation, it was also one fallen angel meeting another fallen angel, the only one who could relate to her, for the first time in her life. No wonder she had that nervous but also excited smile we rarely if ever see from her.
12:12 on behalf of all Christians, I’m so sorry you’ve experienced that. Those super religious folks absolutely suck. You’re perfect the way you are and I love seeing you with your gf ❤ super cute
“If hell is forever then heaven must be a lie, if angels can do whatever and remain in the sky” is probably one of my favorite lines In this entire show right now
Angels don’t lie. They haven’t lied even once. They either omit, dance around, or just bend the truth. But no matter what they’re saying there’s always some truth to it.
Even biblically they would just refuse to answer as opposed to lie. If they speak it is true, if they are silent it speaks more truth than any words they say.
Lying by omission is still lying if the intent is to deceive. In many works, devils are incapable of lying yet are deceptive as hell. (pun intended) The fact that angels are never technically saying anything false here is telling us nothing. Honesty is in the intent, not in technicality.
Something I think is funny is that, when Lute called their love “vile and blasphemous” I didn’t actually realize initially it was a response to the fact that they’re two girls in a loving relationship, I thought at first that it was because she was an angel dating a demon/princess of Hell
"IF HELL IS FOREVER THEN HEAVEN MUST BE A LIE IF ANGELS CAN DO WHATEVER AND REMAIN IN THE SKY" Chills right there. Emily is adorable and I need to see more of her and Charlie interacting
@@fantasy-writer-v5zBud, I'm gonna say this as respectfully as I can. I think you are doing yourself a disservice by injecting your real-world understanding of religion into this animated series. The backstory of Hazbin Hotel's world may share a basic resemblance to Christian mythology, but at the end of the day, it is not trying to tell that story.
7:47 “do you really think I wouldn’t recognize one of my top girls, just because you’re out of uniform?” Say what you want about Adam but ya can’t deny he’s cunning, smart (relatively), and has good memory. Plus dude’s songs SLAY.
@@OlciaPSka Not really species, Hazbin Hotel doesn't really clarify that... Like... Angels clearly have different species (Seraphims, Cherubs, Thrones and many others) and so do the Demons (Sinners, Imps, Hellhounds, etc...) But like, the show doesn't really clarify the actual *difference* between Angels and Demons
Is this Angel? Yeah, this is Angel, after having fallen as low as he could. This is Angel after Husk gave him a hand back up and offered his friendship. This is Angel after he heard the Princess of Hell purely and sincerely singing about how much she truly cared about him to Lucifer himself. This is Angel...after he realized that maybe, just maybe, salvation wasn't as impossible as it once was.
When Charlie was singing that song about how much she cares all I could think about was Angel. He just wants somebody to care about him because he hasn’t had that in a very long time. It doesn’t make someone any less good if they need help to get on the right path. Angel has help now with Husk, Charlie, and true friends that care about him. Going against Valentino will never be easy and until now Angel didn’t think it was worth it but now that he finally found a support system it will get easier. All anyone needs is support because without it people make bad decisions.
@@theflashgirl2057Feel like if he does die (most likely during the extermination) it would be for protecting one of his friends. But maybe his sacrifice would be what he needed to redemption and we see him in heaven possibly in s2
Honestly I was afraid that Cherri Bomb was going to be a bad influence and Angel would have to cut ties with her, but she learned when to finally back off and respect Angel's decision to be better.
I imagine it's to show the Brotherly side, because he is/was twin with his sister Molly, who is actually in the episode as cameoed (the hot pink spider that was pointed out in the reaction.)
Did anyone else notice Vaggie’s jealous scowl when Emily first took Charlie’s hand when they first got to Heaven? Possessive Vaggie is very entertaining.
Perhaps she got into heaven because of Angel Dust. When he was alive, Anthony was probably involved in some messed up shit that he didn't want Molly to get involved with. Thus, her profile was clean when she died. This parallels well with Angel, making sure Nifty didn't end up like him.
The parallel to the pilot with Charlie using Angel as prove that her project works but this time him showing that souls *can* change and improve shows just how much he's grown
What in the world I didn’t even realize that until someone pointed it out. The first time, it backfired because he was doing the exact opposite of what he should’ve been. This time, it worked because he did EXACTLY the right thing to do
You have to realize, this was never a fair trial. This was just them humoring Charlie. As for Sera, she won't admit she was wrong. For more on this, we go to Blue Diamond, Blue? Blue Diamond: "To fix something, you first have to admit it's broken."
I can sympathise with Sera slightly. She is implied to have high authority over heaven, being one of the beings who created Earth and all that. Then she finds out that one of the first human beings is (possibly) threatening the actual good souls in heaven with an uprising. It's kind of a hard decision. And you need to remember that according to Charlie, they talked to Lucifer about it first, and he agreed.
Damn Sera really reminds me Blue Diamond too. Like she's antagonist but she's not pure sadist like Adam/Lute. She's just the ruler of another side of coin who simply wants to protect her people too
@@joaks1969 I think it's pretty clear there are some things about how Heaven works that we still don't know. Sera says that things "aren't as simple as [Emiliy] thinks" and that "there is a lot that [Charlie] doesn't know". She is presented to us as the angel in charge of Heaven and I have no doubt that she has A LOT of authority, but I think there's more going on behind the scenes. She would have a motive to deny Charlie's request (namely, that she does not believe in redemption therefore the souls from Hell would pose a threat to her own people), but she never states that as her reason for saying no. It's her excuse for the exterminations, but as to why the trial failed, she basically just gives us an "it's complicated" response and waves it off. Look at her during the majority of the song. She does not appear angry or offended at Charlie's proposal, only kind of pitying. Even though she called Charlie misguided before with slight annoyance, I think that's mostly because she knows the idea won't work and the meeting will only stir up trouble. Then there is the question of fallen angels. The way Sera speaks of it doesn't look like she's the one causing it. She clams up when talking about it to Emily, going "If you start to question, you might end up like Lucifer. Fallen." That does not sound like a threat. She's not like "If you question me, I will have to cast you out like Lucifer", it is presented as both warning and objective statement. If Emily questions too much, she will fall. If SERA questions, she will fall. So she doesn't, doing her job of protecting her people. Because it's clear she cares greatly about Emily, I don't think she would make her fall. I think the thought terrifies her. Instead, it seems there's some other force at work, either above Sera if it's an individual or, if it's a group, several people on the same level that would out-vote her. It's a force she knows about, but has no influence over. Something that cannot be questioned or the consequences will be grave.
@@iLiketoLaugh123 This brings up a good point, where are the other elders? Why would they nit be bothered to show up to a meeting with the daughter of the very man who brought evil onto their creation.
Sera is a BAD MANAGER. She absolutely had a problem, in that Lilith was raising an army to storm heaven... and she put frickn ADAM in charge of "doing what is required to keep Hell under control." She looked the other way when it came to how Adam accomplished that, ("extermination is entertainment!") as long as it worked. and she's pissed at Adam because LUCIFER still has a red telephone to God and used it over the matter.
@@tobsonasanya4765we see him get ready to fight off angels in the trailer though. So, he might be strong enough to take Lute but Adam requires transformed Charlie.
Adam acts really petty and plays the dumbass, but he is quite competent though. During his meeting with Charlie, he made sure to not directly threaten her, changing subjects, dismissing her ideas but just enough, and then just at the very end when she has no time to react, announced her the advancement of the extermination date
Im honestly shocked you didnt realize vaggie was bothered that em was holding charlie's hands. Like a "dont you dare hold hands with my girl" kind of expression
It's nothing short of hilarious the way Sirpentious managed to steal the show for me. He's just so goofydoofy i can't help but feel unapologetically humored but bad for his uncharismatic endeavors
The pink Angel Dust looking resident in Heaven ( 5:40 ) is Molly. She's Angel's fraternal sibling sister. She's been around the Hazbin fandom for a long time. Viv always brought up that she and Angel weren't necessarily going to be seen together, and I'm glad to see this is the reason why. So it seems that Molly went to heaven as Angel Dust went to hell. I hope we do get to see them together at some point though! 💕
Vaggie is gonna have to do a lot more than trust falls after this. Charlie probably wouldn't have cared that she was an angel, she's definitely upset that she didn't tell her she was after all their time together
20:17 now that we’ve seen the end of S1, it looks like the angels don’t exactly control how a person gets to heaven or hell. It can be theorized that Sera knows WHAT or WHO is responsible of the balance and is scared of Emily asking too many questions that may connect to THAT
One little theory I have is that when Vaggie has her two short lines in Happy Day in Hell, “Those angels’ minds are hard to change… they’re bloodthirsty and deranged”, she’s referring to angels and heaven with the second one. At the time I feel most people assumed she was talking about sinners, but now that her background has been confirmed that’s probably not the case
@@yannismorris4772Considering the context of the line is the song about saving the people of Hell, yeah, the natural assumption is that Vaggie’s talking about them
Vivzie mentioned on an episode of the HunieCast that Cherry was always Australian, but none of her lines in the pilot really let it be emphasized much, so you have to really listen closely to hear it. When Krystal appeared on the HunieCast and did Cherry's voice it was much more apparent.
I’m loving the Lute character. She’s got a badass design and an AMAZING singing voice (Also, it’s interesting how even Adam seemingly supports Vaggie’s relationship with Charlie. When he says, “Congrats on that I guess”, it’s one of the few times his voice sounds calm and understanding. Like he’s evil and misogynistic, but props when someone does something right)
Honestly from Adam's pov I'd hate hell aswell, currently Adam and Lute are the main Antagonist. I feel like Adam could be redeemed maybe not Lute cus she's always hated hell whereas Adam might have some forgiveness. Obviously with that there has to be another main antagonist so most likely with the amount of eps there'll be they'll stay like that but I'd love to see him join Charlie
Angel is not forcing his voice anymore (his voice is now a tone low),and he doesn't have that accent he was doing anymore, probably been a month-ish ever since that Valentino episode and Angel is actually being truthful to himself I'm so proud 🥹
He still has an accent though, that’s in his natural voice. He also talks higher sometimes, so I don’t think he’s forcing that. It’s just his natural tonal range Also they skipped over five months..which I’m not gonna get into
@@Okk681 but then they couldn’t believably sell that these people care about each other now, sometimes when creatively u don’t have time, you build the foundations and then you can skip time
We've only known Emily for one episode and I already love her so much. That duet moment in the second song is one of my new favorite musical moments of the show. Also Angel rocked this episode so hard as well. Seeing him play big brother to Nifty and tell off Valentino was so satisfying.
Vaggie actually being a fallen angel makes so much sense now. She loves her GF Charlie but she's mostly been hesitant to support Charlie's dreams and goals. And it's because Vaggie don't want Charlie to get her hopes too high up because this could all possibly fail horribly because she knows how these angles and even hell work! 💔
I find it really interesting that Elijah didn't react at all to Vaggie being jealous of Emily holding Charlie's hand🤔. I bet she noticed it but was just distracted by everything. Honestly who can blame her? 😂
I mean, considering the fact that Vaggie is presented as a moth demon, she probably came up with a basic excuse. And then just kept to it, whilst insisting that she doesn't want to go too deep into it, to Charlie.
Knowing Charlie she probably did ask with Vaggie coming up with a story. She was a angel so she'd know of earth, the time period it was and know stories of human lives. It might even had been 2014 when she was banished (Date Vaggie was said to have died). It bothered me and so many others that Vaggie was called a sinner and a moth demon without looking like one at all. So being a angel explains that at least. If Charlie didn't ask, I'm sure it was only out of respect. She's the type to loves sharing feelings and stories so if Vaggie said she didn't like to talk about it, I feel Charlie would cease and respect it.
They are so much alike, I genuinely wonder if they are related somehow. Like if they are cousins or something. I mean Lucifer must have had some family up there before he got kicked out.
Don't worry about Angel Dust -- Viv confirmed in a recent-ish interview that his relationship with Husk will be built up over multiple seasons, so he'll be fine.
With this said, when I started watching the reaction, I started to wonder if the reason why Charlie was crying in front of Angel's door in the trailer was because she felt like she failed him and her cause because of what happened in Heaven. Not that he may have died during the eventual extermination.
@@WaterIceDragonI was thinking that, maybe, he DID go to Heaven and she cried because, while she’s happy he made it, she’s sad her friend is now gone for good.
Not going to lie. The cliff-hanger in this one is still keeping me on edge. I know that they will make up, but it still hurts to see Vaggie and Charlie in the situation that they find themselves in.
Honestly, I'm so scared for the next episode. For a lot of reasons, but the main one is the fact that Valantino threatened to make angle pay for what he did tomorrow. I feel like he's gonna really hurt him. Like, physically. And then we're gonna see that scene with Charlie crying outside of his room because she feels like it's her fault because he wouldn’t have stood up for himself if he hadn't been spending time at the hotel and getting better. But if that does end up being what happens, I also feel like Husk will get pissed the fuck off, really fast.
He already made Angel relentlessly work for 16 hours on a whim and some waterboarding thing too. Now charged with anger, Val's gonna do who knows what where the sex will probably hurt him, and keep him there for even longer
My main fear of this next episode is that they have to cover all this, and still have the main focus be the Cannibal colony and Rosie. (The episode's named after her)
Husk has nothing against Valentino besides his connections to more powerful people. If Charlie, Vaggie and Alastor just went to kill Valentino, they would succeed, but it can't be that simple.
14:28 Oh my GOD, you STAY pausing at the WORST times!!! 😭 First, it was right before Velvette was about to call that one lady out for knowing about the beheaded angel. And this time, you interrupted Husk’s BEST LINE in the whole episode!! 😩
9:52 I talked to my friend about this “reveal” the night it was released, (I put reveal in quotes, because with her primarily monochrome color palette compared to the rest of the cast, I always believed Vaggie was “an Angel in disguise”). I told them that it bugged me-despite Vaggie being so adept with a spear-why was her hair so long? It’s a small thing, but I say this because usually people in the military or similar positions need to have as short hair as possible, or at least out of the way of their eyes right? But I think Vaggie grew out her hair, because it’s a coping mechanism to still feel comfortable like when she still had her angel wings. Her hair seems to be almost as long as them too. Also explains why she liked going up to the ship near the top of the Hotel. She probably misses flying, so being able to go up there is the best substitute. 🥺
in the bible Michael is the leader of all the angels, basically the 2nd strongest besides God. Since Hazbin Hotel inolves Heaven and Hell Michael might be included although I'm not sure. @@fetal.beetle07734
Charlie and Emily have only known each other for a couple minutes of one episode, yet I already want to see more of them becomy friends. On one hand, Vaggie should've been honest with Charlie from the start, but on the other, I sort of understand WHY she never revealed the truth. Think about it: if your loved one is the literal Princess of Hell who showed you more kindness than anyone in Heaven, how will you explain to her that you've spent years slaughtering her people?
5:40 - I was shocked and happy to see Molly make her debut. It's so sweet and I hope her and Anthony (AKA Angel Dust) meet up someday. It'll be so sweet for siblings to meet. And then Angel will tell about his mobster family .
I have a theory that maybe she will be a fallen angel by choice if the word of the court got out and that the place that have most of her family is being targeted by heaven and that her twin brother could have been with her, and that he also is not using so much drugs and are taking better care of himself with the little he has considering that he had a overdos*, but he couldn't just because the angels decided that and are corrupted. But honestly I'm just thinking a lot of their dynamics and reactions to that fact cause it could have sooo much angst
Somehow I completely missed her when I watched this episode before. Then today I saw a post on soc media about her and was like "Holy crap! Molly was in the episode?? And I missed it???" Funny coincidentally finding out the same day I watch this reaction and Elijah noticed her immediately 😂
I love how Zelestial, Carmilla, and Seraphim are all the old order that kept hell and heaven in a deadlock for so long, and then we've the Vees & Lute who're trying to break said deadlock. Velvet and Lute particularly, both cut off Carmilla and Seraphim in their respective songs. The instrumentation and genre of both songs change drastically when they both cut in too. Velvet's part in "Respectless" is accompanied by any elements from modern pop songs, as opposed to the Spanish Flamenco Guitar Carmilla's part started off with. Seraphim's replies to Emily and Charlie's plight in "You Didn't Know" were accompanied by strings and piano for a really light-hearted ballad, but then Lute interrupted them trying to stoke the flames of war, bashing Angel's progress, all while toms and an electric guitar came in wailing as she's damn near yelling. It's so tragic cuz the next extermination is clearly coming, and the Vees and Adam & Lute are gonna get so many killed on both sides--it won't just be the exorcists getting kills, because we heard from Velvet that Vox and Val were thinking up contingencies to strike back against the exorcists. The Vees are doing it for clout, while Lute is radically for killing as many demons as possible. Adam...I think it's just as petty as wanting to destroy everything his ex's hubby has. But if two characters like Carmilla and Seraphim just TALKED to each other--how neither of them even want this mass destruction, or to endanger their families--maybe they could prevent the pending bloodbath.
@@ReginShelly The fact that the only angel to have been killed by a sinner, was to the hands of a sinner who makes guns from angelic weapons, seems to imply that they can only be killed by angelic weapons, like sinners and higher royalty in hell.

@joaks1969 @silvercat2153 damn! After Episode 8, the both of you were pretty much spot on! What was I talking about, thinking the Vees would do anything but watch 🥲
I think most people misunderstand Lute's "Vile and blasphemous" line, maybe it's not about them as girls, but as an exorcist and the Princess of Hell. My theory is there was no "uprising" just Adam's lie, because he is salty about Lilith and Lucifer...
This is what ive been thinking too. Lute seems way less "assholey" than adam and a lot more serious. Like she actually believes what they are doing is right. I might be biased because i adore her design and voice and all but i really hope they dont just make her a second adam
I'd be more more on board with that interpretation if weren't for Lute's jab at how angel "blew his shot like the cocks in his mouth". It's clearly homophobia in hindsight.
@@raptorxrise5386 Lute was probably indoctrinated so that she always did his job without asking any questions, Adam wasn't, he clearly does it because he likes it and because he feels superior, Lute is not a good person but between the two the bad guy is definitely Adam
it was clearly made to represent that tho, if not than she would not be portrayed as this 'holy guardian of purity' as an exorcist that exterminates the 'evil n filthy demons' - it was mostly expected people to read that way
I mean they did kind of take his paradise away from him and cause all sin inevertently. At least they made Adam relatable in the sense that I too would be pissed at Lucifer and Lilith for screwing everything up for everyone.
I feel like maybe Adam was a good person WHEN HE LIVED ON EARTH (he didn't break the rules like Lilith, he was devoted to the angels) But when he got to heaven, he became spoiled. And perhaps because of his loyalty to his superiors or because he is the first person, he is still in heaven.
@@sqxbarto9229 It doesn't really make sense, because it's said that when Lucifer and Lilith gave Eve the Apple of Knowledge that Evil took root and that Lucifer and Lilith were cast down to hell for it, We can only assume that this took place In around the same time as when Eve got the apple
One thing I'm really curious about is Adam's motivation. In the 'Hell is forever' song, he says "an eye for an eye", all the exercist masks depict a missing eye, and punishment for an exorcist betraying their mission is to take out an eye. I feel like it's heavily implying Adam perceives that hell, Lucifer, or Lilith did something to deserve the annual extermination and he lied to Sera to have them approved. I want to know what that catalyst event was, I don't think it was the apple. I feel like it's something more petty and personal given Adam's personality.
“If hell is forever then heaven must be a lie, if angels can do whatever and remain in the sky.” Its so nice to see Charlie and Emily calling out the angels for their hypocrisy.
"If you start to question, you could end up like Lucifer. Fallen. I couldn't bear to see you like that." That just sounded like a threat disguised as comfort
when emily talks back to sera saying "i dont need your condecension" i kept hearing "conned ascension" and i love that also the reason adam is probably afraid of the whole redemption plan is the idea that if a sinner can be redeemed how long till they think that the opposite is also possible? adam would be the FIRST to get slamdunked right down to the rings.
15:43 I never had the chance to hang out with friends because of a couple of things: 1: I don’t drink alcohol, sorry for the ones who do, but I don’t like the taste of it, it’s a little too strong for me so I usually drink apple cider and nonalcoholic beverages, like Piña Colada, Daiquiri etc. 2: most of my friends form high school already have their lives and some move to other places. 3: whenever I go out of work, I always return home a little tired. But I’m ok with it, but if someone wants to invite me for a drink (of my preference) and hang out of how life has going with us, then I can accept.
This might sound weird, but I found myself connecting with Emily a lot, personally. I'm a religious person, but I want to see change happen to make my religion more tolerant. I mean Vaggie was/is an angel, and she is a lesbian.
Yeah, I also thought it was obvious but I was wrong
i personally believe that sera is GENUINELY terrified of all that is going on, and actually, i think that comparing her to carmilla is a pretty good way to characterize them both; willing to do ANYTHING to protect those they love
Yeah I like that point of view
Well yeah because both of them knew what was happening and kept it a secret, but atleast Sera didn't kill an angel
I like to be a careful optimist on Sera, maybe I'm soft but I want to see how her plot line unfolds
@@Jessebonnieno, she just approved genocide
Considering that God is basically nowhere to be seen, I can imagine that God is the person who decides who goes to heaven or hell and Sera’s role is to basically be the God’s enforcer
We are literally told that there is *something* going on that no one else knows. Figuring out exactly how Sera is restrained from making certain decisions is definitely going to be a major plot point
The reason for Angel's bravery is simple:

He did say "You're so pretty." to her also.

“If hell is forever then heaven must be a lie, if angels can do whatever and remain in the sky” is probably one of my favorite lines In this entire show right now
My new fav song tho
Angels don’t lie. They haven’t lied even once. They either omit, dance around, or just bend the truth. But no matter what they’re saying there’s always some truth to it.
That’s explains so much.
Bending the truth is still lying at its base, Changing facts is lying
OOOOOOOOOHHH
Even biblically they would just refuse to answer as opposed to lie. If they speak it is true, if they are silent it speaks more truth than any words they say.
Lying by omission is still lying if the intent is to deceive. In many works, devils are incapable of lying yet are deceptive as hell. (pun intended) The fact that angels are never technically saying anything false here is telling us nothing.
Honesty is in the intent, not in technicality.
Something I think is funny is that, when Lute called their love “vile and blasphemous” I didn’t actually realize initially it was a response to the fact that they’re two girls in a loving relationship, I thought at first that it was because she was an angel dating a demon/princess of Hell
the fact that charlie had complete and utter trust in angel to be good while she is gone is more than cute. she is so wholesome and loving.
"To think someone as worthless as you landed Lilith's little hottie. **Deep breath** Congrats on that, I guess." He's not even hiding his saltiness.😂

The further you fall down the further you can rise again
When Charlie was singing that song about how much she cares all I could think about was Angel. He just wants somebody to care about him because he hasn’t had that in a very long time. It doesn’t make someone any less good if they need help to get on the right path. Angel has help now with Husk, Charlie, and true friends that care about him. Going against Valentino will never be easy and until now Angel didn’t think it was worth it but now that he finally found a support system it will get easier. All anyone needs is support because without it people make bad decisions.

I don't know who wouldn't assume she was talking about the angels who come down every year to brutally slaughter everyone they can
@@yannismorris4772Considering the
context of the line is the song about saving the people of Hell, yeah, the natural assumption is that Vaggie’s talking about them
Vivzie mentioned on an episode of the HunieCast that Cherry was always Australian, but none of her lines in the pilot really let it be emphasized much, so you have to really listen closely to hear it. When Krystal appeared on the HunieCast and did Cherry's voice it was much more apparent.

I’m loving the Lute character. She’s got a badass design and an AMAZING singing voice
(Also, it’s interesting how even Adam seemingly supports Vaggie’s relationship with Charlie. When he says, “Congrats on that I guess”, it’s one of the few times his voice sounds calm and understanding. Like he’s evil and misogynistic, but props when someone does something right)
It's quite common for bigoted men to have an exception for lesbians "because they're hot", I wouldn't be too quick to give him props for it.
To me it sounds more like he is jealous of Vaggie for having a hot girlfriend
Maybe. I’d rather not give Adam too much credit

Hazbin goes *hard!*
I find it really interesting that Elijah didn't react at all to Vaggie being jealous of Emily holding Charlie's hand🤔. I bet she noticed it but was just distracted by everything. Honestly who can blame her? 😂
It's hard to believe that Charlie never asked Vaggie about her past. Maybe she did and Vaggie lied, I don't know.
Or Vaggie didn't want to go into it and Charlie decided to respect her boundaries. There's a lot we don't know
I mean, considering the fact that Vaggie is presented as a moth demon, she probably came up with a basic excuse. And then just kept to it, whilst insisting that she doesn't want to go too deep into it, to Charlie.
Honestly, Vaggie probably just said "I'd rather not talk about it". Charlie would be the type to respect those boundaries.
@@commandercorl1544 It may be simple as that considering Charlie is cool. Still, I speculate if we'll get more backstory. :)
7:21 Elijah and Charlie are the same 😂😂

Don't worry about Angel Dust -- Viv confirmed in a recent-ish interview that his relationship with Husk will be built up over multiple seasons, so he'll be fine.
yeah I was going to say he can't die until he actually has a confirmed boyfriend as that was what was stated he would have lol
With this said, when I started watching the reaction, I started to wonder if the reason why Charlie was crying in front of Angel's door in the trailer was because she felt like she failed him and her cause because of what happened in Heaven.
First, it was right before Velvette was about to call that one lady out for knowing about the beheaded angel.
Michael when he sees what Adam and Lute have been up to in his absence:
"My expectations were low, but by God you managed to go subterranean."
Where is Michael?
@@ReginShelly Don't know but I hope he makes an appearance.
Who the heck is Micheal? I haven't been keeping up with the lore
in the bible Michael is the leader of all the angels, basically the 2nd strongest besides God. Since Hazbin Hotel inolves Heaven and Hell Michael might be included although I'm not sure. @@fetal.beetle07734
@@fetal.beetle07734 I haven't either, but i'm gonna assume it's Saint Micheal the Archangel
15:52 it’s allowed because Adam is the first soul in heaven…I think. I’m pretty sure everyone that isn’t an exorcist thinks he’s annoying
My name Elijah too
I think that Emily and Charlie might be cousins
@@janewhite4379thats a preety name
22:48 Charlie and Emelie singing in sync in that part, gave me chills
I think you dropping the chair is going to be the quietest part of this video. Poor neighbors 😂😂
5:40 - I was shocked and happy to see Molly make her debut. It's so sweet and I hope her and Anthony (AKA Angel Dust) meet up someday. It'll be so sweet for siblings to meet. And then Angel will tell about his mobster family .
Molly
Alastor is probably going to kill a lot of exorcists also if they come to the hotel
@@ReginShelly The fact that the only angel to have been killed by a sinner, was to the hands of a sinner who makes guns from angelic weapons, seems to imply that they can only be killed by angelic weapons, like sinners and higher royalty in hell.
@joaks1969 I was thinking it was more to do with her wanting to protect her kids kind of like virtues giving her the power to slice through a corrupt angel sort of deal
@joaks1969 @silvercat2153 damn! After Episode 8, the both of you were pretty much spot on! What was I talking about, thinking the Vees would do anything but watch 🥲
Small correction: His name is Zestiel, not Zelestial. Easy mistake, but names are important.
21:10 maybe Angel gets redeemed, dies and goes to heaven like sir pentious did in season 2?
13:07 I think Lute was talking about how Demons and Angels shouldn’t be together, but you could put it that way
"When I saw your face I felt like a stranger in a brand new place" has much more meaning now
3:46 bro Charlie’s left hand 💀
Omg I just noticed 💀
I beleve sera wasnt threatening emily, but warning her, because someone above her is the one who decide who stay and who fall
Agreed. For all Sera's flaws it's clear she loves Emily.
God?!?!
Sera is the Jess Drew of Heaven.
"You Didn't Know" is *such* a freaking banger of a song - absolutely Broadway-worthy
13:39
The hand actions -
I love how Angel lets himself rest when he needs to instead of bothering people. I love it so much.
The downstairs neighbours:what is she doing? Wife
Of neighbour:must be watchin’ those hentays
I feel like maybe Adam was a good person WHEN HE LIVED ON EARTH (he didn't break the rules like Lilith, he was devoted to the angels)
But when he got to heaven, he became spoiled. And perhaps because of his loyalty to his superiors or because he is the first person, he is still in heaven.
My theory is Adam was always a d#'#, but when he died Hell didn't exist yet, so the only reason he is in Heaven is because he had nowhere else to go.
@@Zack_Crowim thinking that even though he's a dick that's not technically sinning and therefore he got sent to heaven
Someone:*simply touch Vaggie*
Elijah:AND I TOOK THAT PERSONALLY!
8:11 She Concerns to her neighbors for the noise she is about to make. But then she continued to screaming...
i mean Really ? 😂
Yeah, he is still Salty about Lilith 😅
“If hell is forever then heaven must be a lie, if angels can do whatever and remain in the sky.”
Its so nice to see Charlie and Emily calling out the angels for their hypocrisy.
3:39 Had me wheezing 🤣
"If you start to question, you could end up like Lucifer. Fallen. I couldn't bear to see you like that."
That just sounded like a threat disguised as comfort
Ooh I haven't thought of it because Sera was so tender, but you're right!!
Honestly, it sounded like fear. So much of Sera's decisions seems rooted in Fear.
I don’t think so
when emily talks back to sera saying "i dont need your condecension" i kept hearing "conned ascension" and i love that
also the reason adam is probably afraid of the whole redemption plan is the idea that if a sinner can be redeemed how long till they think that the opposite is also possible?
adam would be the FIRST to get slamdunked right down to the rings.
15:43
I never had the chance to hang out with friends because of a couple of things:
1: I don’t drink alcohol, sorry for the ones who do, but I don’t like the taste of it, it’s a little too strong for me so I usually drink apple cider and nonalcoholic beverages, like Piña Colada, Daiquiri etc.
2: most of my friends form high school already have their lives and some move to other places.
3: whenever I go out of work, I always return home a little tired.
But I’m ok with it, but if someone wants to invite me for a drink (of my preference) and hang out of how life has going with us, then I can accept.
I love that you actually flipped the chair Elijah 😂🤘🔥
She extra but I love it❤
I love how in the flashback of Vaggie's past, we can see when she meets charlie, she has her pilot outfit :D
I noticed that too lol!
Both have their Pilot outfits. A very nice touch.
@@andrealopriore9062 OH YEAAH, CHARLIE TOO

“SHE DOESNT *KNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW*
I THOUGHT SHE *KNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW* “
This might sound weird, but I found myself connecting with Emily a lot, personally. I'm a religious person, but I want to see change happen to make my religion more tolerant. It feels like talking to a wall with more conservative people who think everything is fine the way it is. I also felt that line about pretention. It reminded me of being a teenager and learning about the hypocrisy and holier-than-thou crap a lot of people in my religion spit out.
