I checked and test drive both of them and at the end, I ended up buying the 2018 Camry XSE V4 fully equipped. And I love it so much, this was just what I like and I'm satisfied with it. So make sure you buy what you like and don't let no one else tell you what to buy, cause you work hard for it and you are the one who's going to be paying it!!!!!!
I'll stick with my 2018 Camry, no turbo and no CVT issues. I average 38 hwy and 34 overall. Very comfortable on long drives, quieter inside and a very good ride.
2021 Toyota Camry transmission problems can show up as shifting delays, grinding or jumping during acceleration, the car shaking on the road, or a burning smell or whistling sounds coming from under the hood.
I prefer the XSE v6 with the red interior. It looks so nice. And that v6 as much as some complain it isn’t as quick as the accord, is more refined and smooth and I’ll take those over acceleration or low end torque.
Great Review! its a very easy choice for me and that's the Camry! here's why: Camry: More air bags The trunk opens all the way upon pressing the button and the hinges are wrapped as well! The hood of the Camry stays up and its supported by 2 shocks where the Accord has the old fashioned prop rod. The lines/gaps of the Camry around the headlights are more defined and cleaner. The Blind spot monitor is a huge feature to have!
Joseph Francis I do have an issue with this. The outside of the Camry is beautiful, way better than the Accord, however, the inside of the Accord is very much the better choice. It is nicer and buttons all feel better than Camry. It’s definitely a tossup.
My family has like 4-5 hondas i got tjis camry 1 year ago around January, If it didnt have that blind spot Help i would have crashed at least 2-3 times when i wasnt foucsed on
Admittedly I’m a Toyota guy and here’s why. Toyota always lags behind in new technologies which most people would call a negative, but that’s why I love them. The trend of tiny displacement direct injected turbocharged engines is a terrible thing for longevity. It’s gonna bite all these mfgs reputation for dependability. Give me the naturally aspirated engine with the traditional auto every time. It’s pretty easy to understand that the simpler, more proven drivetrain is the way to go for durability.
I agree! but even the 8 speed transmission in the Toyota is too much... they shouldn't do more than 5 speed. You can get enough power in gears 1-4 then switch to 5 for the best fuel economy on the highway. Then the transmission would last a million miles, like the rest of the car!
One of the first things I noticed in the Camry when comparing it with the Accord is how it lacks a push to start button. My 2011 Prius has this, why did Toyota DOWNGRADE in technology over the span of 7 years???
I have driven both vehicles, and can say with confidence the Accord has a higher quality interior. With the camry glove box closed I could push at least a half inch more toward the close position, the accord was rock solid. Lots more than that I noticed, but that's only one thing. The stereo blows the accord away, not even a contest.
I owned an Accord and a Civic. I now own a Camry. My Civic Si was a trooper. I use to drive it running hot and it still ran like a beast. It was flooded (Hurricane Dennis) let the computer dry out and blew it with a can of air and it STILL ran like a beast. Rebuilt the engine at 217,000 miles in. Toyota made the newer model Camry's (2012 and above) very low maintenance with oil changes only needed every 5000 miles, could go 10. Tune ups every 100,000 miles.
I really want a 2.0t but am worried about the 22mpg city, as thats my main work commute. Im trying to get an estimate if I drive it in eco in start and stop traffic. What do you average for fuel economy if you dont mind me asking? And what % city vs highway? Ty!
@@Toyota4Lifecamry se has 203 hp and the 2.0T accord has 252hp the accord has more power… TARD. the accord 2.0T has a 0-60 of 5.3-5.4 sec and the camry has a sluggish whopping 7.4 sec 0-60💀 the camry is not faster. not even the V6 one…🤣
had a 2001 Honda took really good care of it, Transmission tanked at 160,000 v6 engine. I would go with the Toyota due to the transmission issues with CVT
Accord all the way!!! There is No comparison! you can't choose camry over accord unless you've sat in the accord, man does it feel high class! You gotta feel it to believe it! The accord looks meaner, bigger, better. There's a reason why it's North American Car of the year! & no I am not getting paid to say all this. I'm close to owning one soon and I can't wait! All my friends are in love with their accords! :)
Noor Rohama I’ve owned mine for 14 months now with 18k miles and I absolutely adore my car to this day. I got the 2.0T automatic sport. Such an amazing car
I'm a Toyota man. I've been driving Camry's for years. These bitch's don't break. All of them have at had at least 250k problem free miles. I don't even compare when it comes times to car shop. Its gonna be a Camry.
you have a great point there, my mom owned an Acura legend until 270k,and didn't have one problem, then she got an Altima and she has put so much money into it
Both Honda and Toyota are great only issue with Honda is the rubber used on window seals are cheap and starts to harden and crack within 4 years. It did that on my 00 civic, 03 pilot, 07 crv and my 2011 civic.
@@hassana220 Toyota's and Honda's Cvts are pretty decent. Plus, Toyota's Cvt has a physical first gear, further decreasing the stress and therefore extending the life of it. Only small cars like the Corolla or Prius have it, the Camrys have an 8 speed auto. Though this Accord does have a Cvt, you can always opt for the Manual (discontinued) or the 10 speed auto in the higher trims with the 2.0T
@@exquisiteart6478 yea but my point is why would i even risk getting a CVT when their just known to fail? I understand Toyota and Honda CVT but they will still fail like Nissans lol
Honda and Toyota are both very much equal within the first 10 years. After that, you see Toyota's keep going, Honda's start needing more maintenance. Both will go for ever if you keep putting money into them, just Toyota needs less money.
Camry SE or XSE with 4cyl wins....add sunroof, heated seats, xm radio, window tint and fog lights and remote start....the turbo is weal link in reliability for sure
Good video, however some of the features that you gave the camry a point on were options added by the "convenience package" such as keyless entry, and the automatic rear view mirror with homelink, and blindspot information. The automatic rearview mirror with homelink can be added to any trim of the accord, and honda does have more standard safety tech.
HMD Plays Smart car choice. My last Toyota Corolla I put over 100,000 miles on that baby and it drove like a charm.... a Truck hit me from behind, pushed me into on coming traffic. That totaled her out. I walked away without a scratch Years have gone bye... I just purchased a 2020 Toyota Camry SE . I’m in love. My goal is to drive that car until it hits at least 100,000 miles. I get every dime out of my cars 🚘 🚗 LOL
Coming to the 2018 Accrod and Camry, I liked the drive of 2018 Accrod. The 1.5T charged engine is so much fun to drive. 2018 Camry had really bad acceleration and I did not like driving it. The reviewer seemed to like driving the Camry so I am guessing it is just personal preference. I have always owned a Toyota ever since buying my first Corolla in 1999. I currently drive a 2003 Camry. I so much wanted to buy another Camry. My 2003 Camry has 150K+ miles. No repairs/breakdowns and it drives better than the 2018 Camry which I test drove three times hoping desperately to like it. I am upset that Toyota did such a horrible job with the engine of the new Camry. I ended up buying my first Honda car, which is a Honda Civic Touring. I just hope my Civic will turn out to be as reliable as my Camry.
I feel where you're coming from, wanting to be loyal with the Camry brand. I own a 2011 V6 Camry, haven't spent a dime on maintenance other than oil changes, brakes, and a set of tires. I got the car around 80k and it's at 150k now, still riding like the first day I test drove it. I honestly don't want to switch companies because I know and understand the reliability behind toyota, so i'm gonna save up and go for a Lexus instead of settling for a cheaped out Camry. I'm waiting to see what the new Avalon's bring to the table before making any decisions.
vvrk33 the reason why they made them less reliable is because they weren’t getting many people to go back to the dealer for maintenance. Less reliability= more money for them, of course at the cost of brand

Great review on a great car. I did extensive research on these two cars and the others in this class. I also read every car magazine and watched every RUclips video I could find that compared all the 2018 family sedans. Following all of that I came to an educated and informed conclusion - I bought a 2018 Accord Hybrid Touring (in Modern Steel), and LOVE it. The engine is smooth, it is plenty powerful when needed (I unintentionally smoked the tires pulling out into traffic), the eCVT is smooth and always ready, and this car is quiet. However, I will say that the 47/47/47 mpg rating is not accurate. I recently got 55.7 mpg city mpg. And I average in the HIGH 40s and low 50s when combined. It has so much technology. Everyday I'm learning new things it can do. This is a FANTASTIC car. Great looks (MANY compliments on the color and the car's looks from friends and strangers), superb quality and a quiet and luxurious ride. And it's a FUN car to drive. I may have to add fuel stabilizer to the gas tank since I go so long before filling up.
Traded my 2018 Camry XSE V6 for an Accord 2.0T last week. The Accord is much more enjoyable to drive. I had the Camry for 9 months and couldn't stand the stiff gas pedal and the delay/shift shock issue. TSB 0330-17. Plus the low end torque in the Accord puts you back in your seat in almost every gear. The Camry does it only in 2nd. Technicians at the Toyota dealer said that my Camry felt like it was "stuck in neutral when accelerating from a stop or rolling stop". Toyota's written response? "Normal operating characteristic".
the “slow” first gear on the Camry is on purpose to not allow dramitic acceleration, this is just some of the background technology the Camry offers to give the slight edge in fuel economy against the accord.
I have been a proud owner of both Toyota and Honda. I had my Toyota for a solid decade. Then I decided to upgrade. My mother inherited my Toyota in perfect condition. She practically has a new car ( minus the mileage of course. Now, I am ecstatic to own a Honda Accord Sport. It was one of the best investments I've made. I now for sure this car will last me for decades to come. It's super gas friendly and stylish. I feel like a total boss in my Accord!
recently went on a trip and rented a 2018 camry se. I'm not a big car guy, but I was very impressed at how nice the interior and exterior looked. also I like hondas, so maybe one day I'll get one of these sedans. they are sporty and nice without being to flashy imo
Nah Motor Trend gets side payments from Honda Just like car and Driver. That I don't trust. Scotty Kilmer even talks about how automakers give money for products to be promoted. I personally don't like the styling of the 2018 Accord. Its fucking ugly. And that etch a sketch on the dash looks like a after thought. I mean talk about the Camry all you want at the end of the day my V6 will out run any accord in the reliability department. I've even seen that the Accords are already having transmissions fail in large quantities already. Yea Honda reliability. Ill stick with my XSE V6. Turbos are not the answer for my driving needs.
I just saw the 2018 Honda Accord in the parking lot. I just don't like the looks of the exterior due to open grill and you can see the radiator grill inside. It will have some bugs will stuck on that grill. And the rear looks like Civic. 2018 Toyota Camry XSE i think has the best looking car on this segments. But the 2018 Honda Accord comes equipped with the good features. But I'll take the 2018 Toyota Camry. I owned 2017 Honda Accord and it much better looking than the new accord.
My fiance has a 2015 Accord Sport which we really like, and at first, in comparison, I wasn't crazy about the new Accord's looks. But they've grown on me tremendously. I've just seen my second one out on the street today and they are really fantastic looking cars in person. They really stand out and look like expensive sports Sedans. I think people just need to get used to the looks. The Touring 2.0T is a TON of car for the money. It has a great little motor and great 10-speed transmission and has proven to be quicker than both the old V6 Accord and the all new V6 Camry. Additionally it has tons of modern tech and features that rival expensive luxury cars. So many new cars out there have outdated things about them. Nothing about this new Accord is outdated or needing to get with the times. This car is on top of it's game.
Thank you, this is the great review I was looking for. I would take the Camry, because of naturally aspirated engine that will probably cost less on the long term.
Car Confections I hope Honda releases a sport touring trim which has the aggressive styling and performance features of the sport , and offers a power boost for 2.0T up to 290 hp and 300 lbs feet of torque and also a red leather interior next year for it to compare with the Toyota Camry xse.
This is why I subscribed to your channel. Truly unbiased review. This is the best comparison I’ve seen so far. Very informative and comprehensive. Thank you for doing this comparison! Please keep up the amazing work.
Generally speaking, turbo engines will have a lot of issues as it ages. Add the CVT reliability complaints and worse MPG, Camry is the safer choice if you plan to keep it long term. These are the things that no points can be assigned.
Love the new Accord but....... when I test drove the Sport those low profile tires were a deal breaker for me, I could feel every single little rut on the road which drove me nuts. Only Accord I would own would be either the LX model or the Hybrid.
Very good review I just bought a pre-owned 7th Generation Camry SE sport and like it . I've tried to be open-minded about the Accord but I just prefer the Camry still.
This was a great video. I’m a Honda Accord Girl! I’ve had the 2006 and upgraded to the 2015. Now I’ve been thinking of trading in my Honda for the 2018 Honda. but wanted to do more research first. Man how come they didn’t put the side camera. I love that camera. I like Keep mine on. I love my galaxy clock. I do love the headlights and the chrome on the lower part of the hood.
The cars just drive differently. The Toyota isn't meant for racing, it's a comfortable drive. It might go slower, but it will go much longer than the Honda. Neither car is better, because we all want different things. But if you are looking to save money over the entire life of your car, Toyota has the edge here.
I rented the 2018 Toyota Camry SE from my local Toyota dealership and I also rented the 2018 Honda Accord from my local dealership and the accord is roomy and since I like to drive with my seat back plus I’m tall. The accord has more room in the back seat and I don’t have to pull my seat up. I chose the Honda Accord over the Camry. The only thing that I didn’t like about the accord was rear of the car but I must admit that it has since grew on me and I like it now. The Camry looks plain compared to the accord. Especially the Camry your using in this video.
Wilard Tres Reyes my daughter just bought her first car today in Kentucky, a 2019 Camry SE with Sun Roof, a crazy Silver color with 14k miles out the door for $ 20,072, it is VERY Very sexy looking and rides like a dream.
My first car was Camry with 112K on the odometer. I managed to put another 80K over the next 3 years (lots of highway) and sold it only because I needed reliable 4X4 and bought... Highlander. Only good memories about my old Camry - no issues EVER. When the potential buyer asked about mileage, he exclaimed: "So it's a BABY!" and proceeded with buying. Imagine that kind of exclamation about any other car with 200K on the odometer))
how are you going to compare all-weather floor mats to a convenience package? Of course, Camry is going to have keyless entry and blind sport monitoring when you have to pay for it? You're awarding points for something that is added on.
2018 Honda Accord -no 360 degree bird’s eye panoramic camera - how sad is that ? 2018 Toyota Camry - Only 6 cylinder has real NAV $ 940 option called Entune Premium which comes with CD. If you don’t buy - the V6 - you only have Scout GPS Link which is a 1-star user-rated independent app which you will NEVER be happy with. 275 a day more Camry sold than Accord this year Camry has always had $395 Paint Protection Film plastic wrap which protects the paint a thin plastic layer which can include the front bib. We always buy that and Honda refuses to offer it. Accord went from 6 to 8 air bags finally adding what Camry has always had of driver and passenger knee air bags. But the Camry has 10 air bags adding rear seat side curtain air bags to the Camry for the safety of the passengers in the back seat. Accord EX & above have blind spot monitor. Camry has rear cross traffic braking where I hear the warning beep on Accord and on Camry. But on Camry I see the rear view mirror warning and do nothing and the Camry brakes the car while Accord does not have that. Where it really matters is in parking lots where the Camry prevents wrecks stopping car and Accord beeps at you. Intelligence sensor sonar apply brakes Camry not apply brakes Accord. What it does have only is on Accord Touring. Styling wider on Accord. It is harder to park as a result especially in a garage with a door which already was tight before. Test drive the 2018 Accord home and back-out the garage to see ? Or maybe this is exactly what you don’t want to do on the test drive. Cockpit Red Leather interior available on upper trims but you can NOT have red Camry and red interior - how silly is that ? Accord 1.5 L you get a gear shift knob but there are NO GEARS since it is CVT transmission only. 2.0 L is not intuitive but has push buttons instead to change gears with no gear shift knob yet that the only model with a real transmission where you might even want to change the gears. You must Tether Apple iPhone CarPlay with a USB plug to make Apple Map features work. This ruins the battery on the iPhone requiring it to be replaced and they are EXPENSIVE. And Apple maps no good. Upgrade to 450 watts stereo system with 10 speakers only on the EXL and Touring only for Accord 2018 while upgrade on 2018 Camry is 800 watts 9 JBL Speakers. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto 2018 Accord but not 2018 Camry however no one would use either if a reliable embedded NAV were an option because they don’t work well as NAV. Not a viable substitute. Don’t work with head up display only embedded NAV does that. Entune Apps Suite and load secondly also Scout GPS Link to have moving maps. Comes on all trim levels of the 2018 Camry but this has huge Data usage. Camry owners mad about this app. Tire Noise problems continue with 2018 Accord again this year 2018 Camry fixed that years ago. Heated steering wheel - Touring and Sport only on 2018 Accord not on any 2018 Camry. Mobile hot spot - Camry can have that just as Accord can add that Camry updates the NAV maps within 4 miles of location with DCM. Bigger trunk - Accord trunk has inaccessible space but it is bigger and Accord has a hinge which also prevents all the space from being used but it is bigger trunk Camry not sloppy boring drive any longer compared to Accord no advantage Accord driving or Accord suspension. Both equal now 2018. No transmission just CVT for 2018 Accord except for ONLY just the 2.0 Turbo Touring. CVT is just a cheap fashion to fix mileage issues by slogging and delaying gas acceleration when you press the gas pedal. No one likes CVT. Data dead spots all carriers have. They shut down the features of Apple iPhone CarPlay, Android Auto, Scout GPS Link, Waze, any of them. Entune 3.0 does NOT support Android Auto, Google Maps, Waze, Google Play Music, Amazon Music, nor Apple CarPlay. It is a dirty little secret about the 2018 Camry - but this is compounded by the sheer stupidity of Toyota Camry 2018 requiring you buy 6 cylinder ONLY to have embedded NAV which is great on 2018 Camry and great on 2018 Accord. Having a NAV on your stinking cell phone is NOT the same as having embedded NAV. Brakes compared to 2018 Camry for example at 60 mph stop 13 feet farther down the road on the 2018 Accord because the disc brakes are only 11 and a half inches compared to 12 inches on Camry brakes. Why when folks list what you give-up not buying 2.0 Turbo Accord 2018 does EVERYONE leave this off ? 2.0 Turbo Touring 2018 Accord only 22 mpg highways which is just plain AWFUL gas mileage. 2018 Honda Accord Owner’s Manual states 1292 degrees Fahrenheit Turbo engine which turns it states one hundred thousand RPM. 45 mph and you want to pass slower car. So you speed up to 65 mph and it takes LONGER on the Accord than on the Camry. 3.9 seconds 2018 Camry to 4.0 seconds 2018 Accord. This is because TURBO engines spool when you press the gas and do not therefore instantly take-off. There is a lag. A delay. For TURBO engines. It is how a Turbo Engine is designed and now the 2018 Accord Turbo engines have been TESTED. 1800 RPM Accord for 2018 at 60 mph. 1500 RPM Camry for 2018 at 60 mph. This is a record-breaking engine design 2.5 L Camry 2018 4-cylinder engine in terms of longevity. 2018 Accord all Turbo is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE. The 2018 Accord is one inch wider almost than the 2018 Camry making it harder to get out of garages. There is NO PANORAMIC MOON ROOF on any 2018 Accord. 14.8 gallons gas tank Accord means any commuters who drive more than 32 miles to work have to stop and get gas on the way home or on the way to work DURING THE WORK WEEK meaning you have to get up earlier or get home later. 22 mpg city driving 2.0 Turbo Touring 14.8 gallons tank is 325 miles range ONLY. 325 miles range 33 miles to work one-way 22 mpg. 33 miles x 2 to work and back home is 66 miles day 5 days is 330 miles but the damn 2018 Accord 2.0 Turbo Touring in city driving to and from work only has a range of 325 miles. Stop buy gas while driving to work if you work 33 miles from home. 16 gallons 2018 Camry gas tank. 53 mpg highways 2018 Camry Hybrid. 41 mpg highways 2018 Camry base model. 39 mpg highways 2018 Camry XSE fancy Lamborghini front grille. You would think since the Accord is not as long as the Camry that it turns in a shorter turning radius. Wrong. The Camry has a smaller turning radius than the Accord. Honda thinks Americans want halogen head lights which produce an unreal amount of heat. Unless you buy the Turbo 2018 Accord Touring you can not have LED headlights. LED last longer generates less heat and is better lighting which is why Honda puts it on the Accord Turbo Touring. Acura has 360 degree bird’s eye view camera so you can see what is around you Acura with advanced package which is four thousand dollars more than Camry 2018 XSE 4 cylinder and less than 6 cylinder. Volvo has bird’s eye. Lexus has it. Toyota Camry has it. Nissan Murano has it. Even a Nissan Versa has it. Chevrolet Volt has it. Kia Optima has it. Land Rover has it. Hyundai Equus has it. BMW has it. Infiniti QX30 has it. Kia Cadenzahas it. Hyundai Santa Fe has it. Ford F150. Ford Edge. Ford Explorer. Nissan Maxima has it. Honda CRV. Mazda 5. Mercedes-Benz GLE. Toyota RAV4. Avalon. I'm a Honda Acura guy, Ive owned/own 3 Hondas/Acuras and the rest of my family owns Hondas and Acuras. Combined we own almost every model they make. That being said, I would buy the new Camry for over this Accord. Camry has an NA engine which are more reliable than turbocharged engines, the traditional transmission feels and performs better than a CVT and is still very reliable, and the new Camry's exterior looks better. I think both interiors are nice though. Camry saves you 5 dollars every time you fill the tank and its faster!. Those Accord rims makes it look like the Accord is trying way to hard to be cool.
Jose Luis ... Perhaps they've become reliable enough to last much longer than the average person will own the car? Nobody really knows yet. But 1 thing is for certain is that forced induction is without a doubt harder on an engine. Compression, RPMs and rapid torque loads are the hardest things on engines. I hope they are reliable. I'll just let someone else test it out for me. I love my Honda/acura, and plan to keep it for 10 more years (runs great) which would make it a 23 year old car and 20 years of not making car payments :)
Thank you for showing this type of video. And give your honest opinion on both car and leave that number up on the display. Please continue to do like this in the future. Have a great day.
That accord looks WAAAAYYY better than the camry. The camry definitely looks cheaper and the accord sport looks much more upscale. The accord sport 2.0 is my choice for sure (which you get a lot more features)
Brandon Banner The Accord tail lights look cheap to me. Rest of the car looks great. I think the Camry in SE or XSE trim looks good from every angle. Honda interior is better though
if you've owned a turbocharged engine before the Accord, you will know how painful its gonna be when you need to replace the turbo it in about 4-5+ years when the warranty won't cover it. thousands of dollars to replace or rebuild the turbo while the camry in 4-5 years will still be running fine without any major repair bills. turbo 4s are being used because they provide same level of power of a typical v6 and 4 cylinder mpg. What most people don't understand is that they trade MPG for reliability so they can meet government epa standards. No way a turbocharged engine is going to outlast a naturally aspirated engine. Why do you think you see so many 92-96 Toyota camry's still driving on the road? Overtime, a turbo will need constant care. From boost leaks that rob your power and burning oil from the turbo, the average consumer who wants a trouble free car will finally see why Toyotas are so reliable. They know going turbo will take away reliability. Remember people, turbo engines in the 90s and 00s were usually reserved for performance models and higher mileage engines were more prone to poor reliability.
That was an awesome comparison. I kept wondering how the hell u stayed so well in sync while explaining everything. Keep up the great work... that aside, i didnt realize how hard a choice it would be between these two cars.
Sukh Dhillon but it’s 35k compared to 30k for the accord. and the infotainment and technology is just way better on the accord. Not to mention the Camrys 8 speed has to have the worst gear spacing I’ve seen in a while.
@Alec W_ I don’t think there would be that price difference, they must price competitive or else no one will buy it. Since touring is the top model it can’t be 30k
Camry just looks like such a Toyota.... It seems to never change. It lacks innovation on the design. The Accord did just that making a remarkable change
So I've been test driving both of these cars the past few weeks and i just bought the 2019 Accord Sport. It was a close call because they're both great cars but i liked the bigger screen on the Honda and i liked the way it looks a bit more than the Camry SE. Toyota's, while being extremely reliable, have a slight cookie cutter feel to them whereas the Honda is just a little more refined IMHO. These are both a lot of car for the money. But i do love my new Accord.
Great review - thank you! Honda has more features but Toyota is so reliable. 2.5L delivers the power without being worried about turbo crapping out. I would also prefer simple 8 spd auto. There is nothing to break there!
This is the fairest review I have ever seen, it feels like a hard topic to sound off on when people are really opinionated, I've been a Toyota fan boy since I could see, my dad worked at their factory, yet, I don't hold the brand as superior to anything else. This video is such a good example of what it means to be unbiased and fair. You made a great point at the end about characteristics. Thank you for this video and keep up the good work.
very detailed comparison and useful. thank you.
You're very welcome! Glad you liked it!!!
Kalyan Gondrala honda has more options and tech but man... that body design is just ugly
i own a camry so, I would definitely agree with your comments :)
I agree, that was a well done review!

I have 2018 Camry SE avg 27-28 mpg … over 100k miles on it now
I had a car with a cvt transmission the transmission gave.out around 65,000 miles I've heard similar problems with other people
@@robertomontalvo7099 and did you ever change the oil in that gearbox ? :D
2021 Toyota Camry transmission problems can show up as shifting delays, grinding or jumping during acceleration, the car shaking on the road, or a burning smell or whistling sounds coming from under the hood.
@@147NITRO of course
I prefer the XSE v6 with the red interior. It looks so nice. And that v6 as much as some complain it isn’t as quick as the accord, is more refined and smooth and I’ll take those over acceleration or low end torque.
The accord offers a 6 speed manual transmission for no charge, it drives much better. A CVT kills the fun of any car.
Great Review! its a very easy choice for me and that's the Camry! here's why:
Camry: More air bags
The trunk opens all the way upon pressing the button and the hinges are wrapped as well!
Joseph Francis more airbags = higher chance of injury on impact..
My family has like 4-5 hondas i got tjis camry 1 year ago around January, If it didnt have that blind spot Help i would have crashed at least 2-3 times when i wasnt foucsed on
This is more preference than saying that the Camry is better 🤷🏻♂️
Admittedly I’m a Toyota guy and here’s why. Toyota always lags behind in new technologies which most people would call a negative, but that’s why I love them. The trend of tiny displacement direct injected turbocharged engines is a terrible thing for longevity. It’s gonna bite all these mfgs reputation for dependability. Give me the naturally aspirated engine with the traditional auto every time. It’s pretty easy to understand that the simpler, more proven drivetrain is the way to go for durability.
SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK MY G
I agree! but even the 8 speed transmission in the Toyota is too much... they shouldn't do more than 5 speed.
@@chrisgill4888 my 2018 camry has a push start
Can I get an Amen brother? AMEN. If it’s not broken don’t fix it. Toyota lead they don’t follow.
I LOVE Honda, but I would call this match a draw.
YA me too
Accord is a CVT trans.
@@gutadin5 you can get a manual or a 10 speed auto though.
@@barbz_zayne The 10 speed auto is rated for 22 MPG on the city and 32 on the highway though...

The Accord with a strong comeback. Love my 2018 Touring 2.0 best car I’ve ever owned

I'm a Toyota man. I've been driving Camry's for years. These bitch's don't break. All of them have at had at least 250k problem free miles. I don't even compare when it comes times to car shop. Its gonna be a Camry.
So why are there so many old Hondas driving around and so few old Toyotas? I’d rather take a Honda for reliability.
have seen both on the roads... for reliability old cars are stronger.... cause they got less electronics and sensors
you have a great point there, my mom owned an Acura legend until 270k,and didn't have one problem, then she got an Altima and she has put so much money into it
Both Honda and Toyota are great only issue with Honda is the rubber used on window seals are cheap and starts to harden and crack within 4 years. It did that on my 00 civic, 03 pilot, 07 crv and my 2011 civic.

what about the CVT tho?
@@hassana220 better than Nissan's 😂😂😂
@@exquisiteart6478 yea but whats the big difference if both are not reliable lol?
@@hassana220 Toyota's and Honda's Cvts are pretty decent. Plus, Toyota's Cvt has a physical first gear, further decreasing the stress and therefore extending the life of it. Only small cars like the Corolla or Prius have it, the Camrys have an 8 speed auto. Though this Accord does have a Cvt, you can always opt for the Manual (discontinued) or the 10 speed auto in the higher trims with the 2.0T

Accord is the best in this class. I am very very happy with my Accord.
Honda and Toyota are both very much equal within the first 10 years. After that, you see Toyota's keep going, Honda's start needing more maintenance. Both will go for ever if you keep putting money into them, just Toyota needs less money.
accord all day but the Camry looks nice as well
Camry SE or XSE with 4cyl wins....add sunroof, heated seats, xm radio, window tint and fog lights and remote start....the turbo is weal link in reliability for sure
I’m late but that’s true even has push to start on all base models Camry doesn’t
I loved the 2017 accord but man the 2018 camry takes the cake in the design, I have a 2011 camry xle, and the design change is huge

HMD Plays your 2001 will last forever
I'm waiting to see what the new Avalon's bring to the table before making any decisions.
good luck, but Camry aint that bad.
vvrk33 the reason why they made them less reliable is because they weren’t getting many people to go back to the dealer for maintenance.

I personally don't like the styling of the 2018 Accord. Its fucking ugly. And that etch a sketch on the dash looks like a after thought. I mean talk about the Camry all you want at the end of the day my V6 will out run any accord in the reliability department. The Camry is way too overstyled and is trying too hard to look sporty. The Accord is conservative but elegant and still sporty.

I never thought i would like the Camry......or be so disappointed with Honda

Scout GPS Link which is a 1-star user-rated independent app which you will
NEVER be happy with.
275 a day more Camry sold than Accord this year
Camry has always had $395 Paint Protection Film plastic wrap
which protects the paint a thin plastic layer which can include the front
bib. We always buy that and Honda
refuses to offer it.
Accord went from 6 to 8 air bags finally adding what Camry
has always had of driver and passenger knee air bags. But the Camry has 10 air bags adding rear
seat side curtain air bags to the Camry for the safety of the passengers in the
back seat.
Accord EX & above have blind spot monitor. Camry has rear cross traffic braking where I
hear the warning beep on Accord and on Camry.
But on Camry I see the rear view mirror warning and do nothing and the
Camry brakes the car while Accord does not have that. Where it really matters is in parking lots
where the Camry prevents wrecks stopping car and Accord beeps at you.
Intelligence sensor sonar apply brakes Camry not apply
brakes Accord. What it does have only is
on Accord Touring.
Styling wider on Accord. It is harder to park as a result
especially in a garage with a door which already was tight before. Test drive the 2018 Accord home and back-out
the garage to see ? Or maybe this is
exactly what you don’t want to do on the test drive.
Cockpit Red Leather interior available on upper trims but
you can NOT have red Camry and red interior - how silly is that ?
Accord 1.5 L you get a gear shift knob but there are NO
GEARS since it is CVT transmission only.
2.0 L is not intuitive but has push buttons instead to change gears with
no gear shift knob yet that the only model with a real transmission where you
might even want to change the gears.
You must Tether Apple iPhone CarPlay with a USB plug to make
Apple Map features work. This ruins the
battery on the iPhone requiring it to be replaced and they are EXPENSIVE. And Apple maps no good.
Upgrade to 450 watts stereo system with 10 speakers only on
the EXL and Touring only for Accord 2018 while upgrade on 2018 Camry is 800
watts 9 JBL Speakers.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto 2018 Accord but not 2018
Camry however no one would use either if a reliable embedded NAV were an option
because they don’t work well as NAV. Not
a viable substitute. Don’t work with
head up display only embedded NAV does that.
Entune Apps Suite and load secondly also Scout GPS Link to
have moving maps. Comes on all trim
levels of the 2018 Camry but this has huge Data usage. Camry owners mad about
this app.
Tire Noise problems continue with 2018 Accord again this
year 2018 Camry fixed that years ago.
Heated steering wheel - Touring and Sport only on 2018
Accord not on any 2018 Camry.
Mobile hot spot - Camry can have that just as Accord can add
that Camry updates the NAV maps within 4 miles of location with DCM.
Bigger trunk - Accord trunk has inaccessible space but it is
bigger and Accord has a hinge which also prevents all the space from being used
but it is bigger trunk
Camry not sloppy boring drive any longer compared to Accord no
advantage Accord driving or Accord suspension.
Both equal now 2018.
No transmission just CVT for 2018 Accord except for ONLY
just the 2.0 Turbo Touring.
CVT is just a cheap fashion to fix mileage issues by
slogging and delaying gas acceleration when you press the gas pedal. No one likes CVT.
Data dead spots all carriers have. They shut down the features of Apple iPhone
CarPlay, Android Auto, Scout GPS Link, Waze, any of them.
Entune 3.0 does NOT support Android Auto, Google Maps, Waze,
Google Play Music, Amazon Music, nor Apple CarPlay. It is a dirty little secret about the 2018
Camry - but this is compounded by the sheer stupidity of Toyota Camry 2018
requiring you buy 6 cylinder ONLY to have embedded NAV which is great on 2018
Camry and great on 2018 Accord.
Having a NAV on your stinking cell phone is NOT the same as having
embedded NAV.
Brakes compared to 2018 Camry for example at 60 mph stop 13
feet farther down the road on the 2018 Accord because the disc brakes are only
11 and a half inches compared to 12 inches on Camry brakes.
Why when folks list what you give-up not buying 2.0 Turbo
Accord 2018 does EVERYONE leave this off ?
2.0 Turbo Touring 2018 Accord only 22 mpg highways which is
just plain AWFUL gas mileage.
2018 Honda Accord Owner’s Manual states 1292 degrees
Fahrenheit Turbo engine which turns it states one hundred thousand RPM.
45 mph and you want to pass slower car. So you speed up to 65 mph and it takes LONGER
on the Accord than on the Camry. 3.9
seconds 2018 Camry to 4.0 seconds 2018 Accord.
This is because TURBO engines spool when you press the gas and
do not therefore instantly take-off.
There is a lag. A delay.
For TURBO engines. It is how a
Turbo Engine is designed and now the 2018 Accord Turbo engines have been
TESTED.
1800 RPM Accord for 2018 at 60 mph. 1500 RPM Camry for 2018 at 60 mph.
This is a record-breaking engine design 2.5 L Camry 2018
4-cylinder engine in terms of longevity.
2018 Accord all Turbo is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE.
The 2018 Accord is one inch wider almost than the 2018 Camry
making it harder to get out of garages.
There is NO PANORAMIC MOON ROOF on any 2018 Accord.
14.8 gallons gas tank Accord means any commuters who drive
more than 32 miles to work have to stop and get gas on the way home or on the
way to work DURING THE WORK WEEK meaning you have to get up earlier or get home
later. 22 mpg city driving 2.0 Turbo Touring 14.8 gallons tank is 325 miles
range ONLY. 325 miles range 33 miles to
work one-way 22 mpg. 33 miles x 2 to
work and back home is 66 miles day 5 days is 330 miles but the damn 2018 Accord
2.0 Turbo Touring in city driving to and from work only has a range of 325
miles. Stop buy gas while driving to
work if you work 33 miles from home.
16 gallons 2018 Camry gas tank. 53 mpg highways 2018 Camry Hybrid. 41 mpg highways 2018 Camry base model. 39 mpg highways 2018 Camry XSE fancy
Lamborghini front grille.
You would think since the Accord is not as long as the Camry
that it turns in a shorter turning radius.
Wrong. The Camry has a smaller turning
radius than the Accord.
Honda thinks Americans want halogen head lights which
produce an unreal amount of heat. Unless
you buy the Turbo 2018 Accord Touring you can not have LED headlights. LED last longer generates less heat and is better
lighting which is why Honda puts it on the Accord Turbo Touring.
Acura has 360 degree bird’s eye view camera so you can see
what is around you Acura with advanced package which is four thousand dollars
more than Camry 2018 XSE 4 cylinder and less than 6 cylinder. Volvo has bird’s eye. Lexus has it.
Toyota Camry has it. Nissan
Murano has it. Even a Nissan Versa has
it. Chevrolet Volt has it. Kia Optima has it. Land Rover has it. Hyundai Equus has it. BMW has it. Infiniti QX30 has it. Kia Cadenzahas it. Hyundai Santa Fe has it. Ford F150. Ford Edge. Ford Explorer. Nissan Maxima has it. Honda CRV.
Mazda 5. Mercedes-Benz GLE.
Toyota RAV4. Avalon. Lincoln. Nissan Infiniti. Volkswagen Golf. Volkswagen Tiguan. Chrysler Pacifica. Buick Envision. All have 360 degree surround view camera
panoramic bird’s eye. All but Accord.
I've been conflicted in buying either of the two but from reading (ALL OF) this made me secure with my choice of getting the Camry. God Bless 🙏
Excellent comparison vid... More reviews need this in depth and insyc comparisons...
So glad you found it helpful! Thanks for tuning in!
Thank you! 🙂 You also have a great day!
Accord tail light looks like claws. I'll take the camry
amazing job. no better comparison out there! so good!!
Accord: Nice inside and outside.
Camry: Nicer looking outside. Bad inside
Arindom Paul what are you talking about, you herd the review, the Camry is pulling more Horse power and torque than the accord
Doesn’t even consider that there’s engines and miles and transmissions and stuff nope just the look
Bullshit
@@St4thegamer the camry is still slower to 60 than the accord even with that extra hp and torque😂😂
This the best comparison I ever seen on the market. You did a very good job
+Abenso 84 Thanks, glad you liked it!
if you've owned a turbocharged engine before the Accord, you will know how painful its gonna be when you need to replace the turbo it in about 4-5+ years when the warranty won't cover it. thousands of dollars to replace or rebuild the turbo while the camry in 4-5 years will still be running fine without any major repair bills. turbo 4s are being used because they provide same level of power of a typical v6 and 4 cylinder mpg.
Bee Xiong Umm, there are Honda’s just as old still driving around 😉
That was an awesome comparison. I kept wondering how the hell u stayed so well in sync while explaining everything. Keep up the great work... that aside, i didnt realize how hard a choice it would be between these two cars.
Thanks!
The accord touring 2.0t yes please
Xela Oso yes sir
I have one in my garage , so in love with it
3.5 v6 is way smoother and will outlast any turbo
Sukh Dhillon but it’s 35k compared to 30k for the accord. and the infotainment and technology is just way better on the accord. Not to mention the Camrys 8 speed has to have the worst gear spacing I’ve seen in a while.
@Alec W_ I don’t think there would be that price difference, they must price competitive or else no one will buy it.
Since touring is the top model it can’t be 30k
I would love to know exactly what makes the Camry floor mats and the Accord floor mats worth $250 and $150 respectively?
Camry just looks like such a Toyota.... It seems to never change. It lacks innovation on the design. The Accord did just that making a remarkable change
DomLouMiami are you blind? The new Camry design has changed significantly and the front grill kind of looks like the Lexus
The new Camry looks a lot different then earlier models!!
DomLou2019 the back of the accord is very boring. Camry over all looks great. just got me 2019 SE IT'S BEAUTIFUL
Kodak YUP it's very nice just got a 2019 Camry AS LAST SATURDAY. LOVE IT!
Kodak the style us way different n very attractive
We appreciate that! We do our best to unbiased and fair, but it seems like most people still accuse of of being biased. Oh well...
