As a wish family that has stayed there a long time ago, I absolutely love that they are able to do this to raise money since they are shut down right now. It was one of the most wonderful stays with great memories for my family. Thank you for supporting them and showing everyone what a wonderful place this is.

We are so happy to have found GKTWV and yes, being able to do this having been shut down is an amazing way to spread the message about the organization.

Bright as day PlayxPlay - It's nice to see that the Osborne Lights have a good home, I'm so glad Disney donated them. The Osbornes were from here in Arkansas. I remember seeing the lights at their house, when I was young. They were.....interesting. They only used red lights. A yard FULL of red lights. The traffic they caused is a main reason the lights/brand was sold to Disney. They were wealthy and a bit eccentric, but charitable. His daughter had Mickey Mouse AND former President Jimmy Carter in attendance, to give you an idea. I wish I could do the Night of a Million Lights event, for it looks so beautiful and they do such good work. Thank you for sharing your trip there!

Love that! never knew the history of the Osborne Lights. Very interesting! We hope they do Night of Millions Lights every year from now on. Not sure how it will work if everything opens up next year but I hope they found success in the event to try and make it an annual thing.

@@KelsandJohn Whoops, I should clarify that MM and JC were in attendance at the daughter's wedding. They didn't "hire" MM, he attended as a guest.

Do you guys know what’s in the houses normally ? Are they used for families. There is a hotel there?

Look a bit at give kids the world again slowly and you’ll notice something as there is no religious iconography anywhere nor is there any manger scene anywhere. It’s not unusual as the organization itself isn’t technically any particularly any one religion. The religion thing is sometimes that type of thing can set people off so they don’t use it so not to upset anybody. Disney doesn’t have it either nor universal. The only park that does it in Orlando is the holy land experience right by millena mall. Also look up we know the way in Maori or something it’s on RUclips somewhere but Jon might understand some of it, anyway it’s the natural language of Moana and seriously you should at least listen to how Disney does these films in their native languages like Snow White in German or brave in Scottish Gaelic. It’s kinda fun. Just as a fun Christmas gift try doing a DNA test from 23 & me or ancestry honestly it’s a good way to understand yourself in terms of what exactly is the mixture in yourself of English, Scottish or something. Jon is likely only part Philippine native as I see parts of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai in his face ( just something I noticed). I see a lot of European in you mostly English but also a little Norway or or others possible Swiss maybe a touch Indian in the eyes. Doesn’t hurt either as it’s just a cheek swab. (Also keep this to yourself but it also can detect genes that could be passed down badly so you can take it to be absolutely sure. It’s an extra charge but it’s a peace of mind type thing.) it doesn’t change who you are just a way of finding out more about yourself and the stories that could be uncovered from the past that are forgotten good or bad.

What a great idea! I'll have to look into the DNA test
