Welcome back to Kels and John - it's our favorite time of year! Join us for a festive week in our lives vlog following what we got up to in the days before Christmas and in to the new year! 2020 was our first Christmas living in Florida so it was a little different from usual but so much fun!
In this Christmas weekly vlog, we get a new car, hit up Disney Springs for a night out at Raglan Road, try some great new breakfast spots, and get busy in the kitchen with lots of recipes! And of course, we spend a lot of time with our Penny so stay tuned for lots of cute puppy content!

This vlog had me at kielbasa skillet. Oh no Baymax! We are not satisfied with your care!! My last car has been a bit of a money dump and it was our splurge car. Meanwhile there has been nothing that can kill the toyotas we've bought, as much as we might try :) Penny is such a perfect addition to your family! Kelsey I just adore your style, you are so gorgeous! Raglan Road is one of our favs. Love that you're bringing back weekly vlogs! You've found so many great spots in Florida! Lovely video as always. Fun to see your adventures and cooking. One tip re. puff pastry. The butter in it melts really quickly the more you touch it, so you have to work fast. If you make the cranberry pork roll again, I recommend freezing it for 15 mins before the egg wash to allow the butter to resolidify. Then right before you put it into oven, add egg wash and bake. Puff pastry always bakes up better when it’s cold. The solid butter creates air pockets which crisp up better. That will also prevent the unfortunate puddles. Happy cooking! 😁

Loved the “mammoth” vlog. Lol. Penny is a happy puppy and can tell she is so loved and spoiled. You can also try Bully Sticks instead of raw hide bones, they’re no good for small dogs and their intestines.

Holidays PlayxPlay - Isn't that the hat that matches your ears? Cute! Penny is so cute in her bed. That was one bouncy egg. I bet, if you keep your eyes open, you might find a vintage glass rolling pin in one of your local antique shops. They were sold full of vinegar (corked). When empty, you'd fill them with cold water, which kept your pastry cool and thus flakey. They're functional and look nice displayed. I bet those cookies smell as delightful as they look. Penny is an A+ student. At Disney Springs, I miss The Adventurers Club with all my heart. I half expected flames to come off the dancers' feet! Those first "adult purchases" in marriage feel so big (and slightly scary). Congrats on the new car! Name, hmmmm....Evinrude, from The Rescuers, for a Penny connection. The sausage roll looks great, you should be proud. Christmas gifts for a pup are the BEST. That wasn't a salad, it was a whole garden in a bowl. Happy New Year!!!

I must try a holiday sandwich. I've seen them on some English vlogs I watch. We don't really do that here, except after Christmas, some people make sandwiches with leftover holiday meal.

Kels and John first I have been worried sick as it’s been almost two weeks with no video! I loved this one Penny is BEYOND adorable and sharing in your pre and post Christmas excitement was the best. Do you have a Patreon page or how do I go about getting an address to send you a little something? Merry Christmas belatedly and may 2021 be the best year for you both ever.

Try the gelato place right by the boathouse. That’s my favorite spot in Disney springs as really no one ever seems to be there. Plus it’s a nice people watching spot with the tables. That or the sausage place on the bridge as oddly that’s pretty quiet too. Start shopping a bit at the Florida mall as usually you can get decent sales there that or the outlet mall either on international drive or right by Disney itself. They have great deals. Last I checked the character warehouse had a ton of Disneyland Shanghai stuff and likely Disneyland Tokyo stuff is new with the beauty and the beast ride opening and Disneyland Paris with the ratatouille adventure opening soon. I don’t think the Jeep is truly bad, likely you need to test parts to figure out the problem. Auto zone can do the testing for free. It’s which part that went bad is the problem. If it doesn’t start it’s the alternator, the cylinders can be replaced easily, the worse case is the transmission which is that the whole car is toast. The engine is fairly easy to fix so is the electrical. Just look up your car online with the manufacturer and everything usually the how to guide is in pdf format with videos on RUclips of how to change parts and stuff. Hey it’s a pass time in America to work on your car and understand it inside and out. Each noise it makes is something you know what is going on or what’s wrong instantly. The Camry is what you call a workhorse car, it’s ok for getting places but not my favorite car to buy. I like the highlander or the 4Runner myself, as they are good cars for everything as the are considered a Jack of all trades car, simple to use with attachments in the back as you may need the towing ability and the trunk is spacious for hauling whatever you need with the fold down rear seat. Nice and simple to use plus great handling. Try making your own pickles, hey it saves money plus the recipes are online somewhere. I make my own cucumber, daikon, and carrot ones and they end up fine.

I (Kelsey) kept my job and moved to be full-time remote. John secured a new job after our move.
The butter should not have been melted. That's Why the dough didn't form very well. The butter should have been soft, But not melted. It makes a huge difference in how the dough turns out.
Where do you get minced pies in Fl? I've been looking at ordering them online but the shipping is crazy
