Welcome back to Kels and John and to our first "Living in Florida" Weekly Vlog in quite some time! In this week's Florida vlog, join us as we explore more of central Florida, visit the weekend farmer's markets at Mt Dora Florida and Winter Garden Florida, take advantage of the final couple of weeks of Magical Dining, take an afternoon trip to the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, and share some of our life at home! We hope our videos provide you some fun ideas on what to do in Orlando and help bring a little piece of the magic in to your home!

Yay to the weekly vlogs being back. The farmer markets looked lovely, I love looking round then. Im very glad your job is going well, John. Got behind on vlogs (had surgery 11/5) and I’m finally starting to catch up. I actually live just down the road from Mt Dora. You have to plan a nice day long visit. The streets of Mt Dora are packed with little shops (like you like Kelsey) and restaurants. One you might like is called Wave Asian Bistro. Very new age-ish. The owner/creator/chef if a guy my daughter was in marching band with in high school.
We hope everything is well post surgery! thank you for the suggestions! We will def be back and would love to check out things we've missed. Such a lovely place! We are always up for great food so that will be a stop the next time around. -J

I've lived in Orlando 19 years now. Mount Dora is definitely one of my favorite places. Love that Antique Mall...bought quite a few things from there. You MUST check out Renninger's Antique Mall & Farmer's Market! Right outside Mount Dora. Google it. Their couple times a year Antique Extravaganza is amazing!!! Dealers come from all over the Country!

Magical dining here is actually a three course menu for a set price usually around $35 a person. It’s an app, main, and dessert. The restaurants on magical dining tend to rotate around a lot but a few staples tend to stay like the molecular gastronomy Spanish (like true Spain) place or Flemings steakhouse. It’s usually pretty good but this year all the restaurants had to change to carry out and delivery due to the virus. Check online for which restaurants are doing it as they do have prefixed menu for magical dining.
It ended on October 31st but we were happy to experience a few different spots. And they were actually dine in as usual... Fleming’s is actually where we went in this video!
Try the lake eola farmer’s market every Sunday as it’s entirety local products and it’s the most expensive area in Orlando itself not the market but the area rent prices. The area has been built up for the last I don’t know so many years now it’s a very nice place to go for walks and just whatever. It used to be a dump now it’s really nice. Don’t spend all the time at Disney as it gets kinda boring plus it’s literally the average Florida kid’s literal childhood every year at the parks. That and getting scared to death at Halloween horror nights every year. Check out the Halloween lights at celebration which people go all out for and the Christmas ones which seriously the Osborne lights were kinda on par with but it’s not as grand you’ll see. Try going to gatorland once during the summer it’s kinda a hoot to see real alligators eating and all, fall and winter they don’t eat as they go in a sort of hibernation for food. Go to sea world for the coasters but don’t ride the wild artic thing as that is very much based on star tours but a horrible unfixable ride system that slams against the doors and it’s pistons are so bad it makes people sick. At least Disney got their Christmas stuff up now and the treats too.
Ooh we were recently recommended the lake Eola market so will definitely try it one of these days!
Vloggy PlayxPlay - Look at you two, rocking a code! Congrats! That IS the best Sing-A-Long. A Disney day is always a fun choice. Watching BTR as it goes by, it reminds me of a large scale toy set, if that makes sense. It's nice to still hear the background music. That'll be missed when the crowds return. Celebrate every day you can! The carrot is adorable. Mmmmm...breakfast. A former coworker (from Liverpool) introduced us to the English Breakfast, which was SO GOOD. Random question - as I know John loves a deal, just as I do, have you had a chance to hit up local discount/salvage/liquidator grocery stores? I know they can have insane deals, but there's not one close for me here. I was wondering if they had hidden gems like that in Orlando. Kels - you'll be a great driver!

One of John’s firsts was when we stayed in Liverpool with a friend years ago. That was a particularly good one! Great question... we’ve not had a chance yet besides Dollar Tree for a few home things but I’m sure it won’t be long before John finds something good! Yay! You will need a park reservation in addition to your ticket for the foreseeable future :)
I lived in Mt. Dora for my first four years...don't remember it but would love to go visit on our next Florida trip. It looks so quaint. Hope the driving is going well Kelsey! Are you new to driving or just US driving?

How far is Winter Garden from WDW? Thinking about a condo for winter... Would love recommendations for something close to the parks.
I'd say about a 20-30 minute drive. Magic Kingdom is the closest park to the area. The downtown/Plant Street area is so much fun and lots to do especially on weekends!

Why you guys only visit Disney? Universal studios resort is very good and great hotels and night life for a young couple like you guys that love to drink and taste a good food I will like to see you guys blogging on Universal Orlando now that you live here
We love Universal! We just haven’t got a pass for Studios yet like we do Disney (which was extended from last year) but will get there eventually ☺️
