  • Finishing your car's interior is extremely important for maintaining a protected and clean car. Many products are dedicated for this exactly, and provide UV ray protectants, and condition some of the surfaces, etc... but as in all of my videos, I love to simplify things. In this video, I show how Optimum No Rinse rinsless wash and wax can be used to clean, finish, and protect your car's interior. The onr wash and wax product is absolutely revolutionary, and this a a product that van replace so many others... simplicity! Not only does this product clean the interior surface, but it will leave behind a waxed and protected surface! This protects your car's interior from UV rays and so much more. It also makes the cleaning process the next time around so much easier. Wilson Auto Detailing has done it again, off label use!!! many people ask, what is the best car wax? Or, do you have a best car wax? The answer to that question is simple, no, however onr is not even fully a wax, but it is climbing the ladder in my book every day! Interior car cleaning just got easier. Follow along as I show you all some interior car detailing tips and tricks, and learn how to wax your car's interior, and protect it!!!

    Just now going into your older vids. I tried ONR on my interior and I like it. My daughter spill some chocolate syrup on my vinyl and it was left for a week. It wiped of very easily so I'm a believer! The world would be a different place without ONR 😉. Thanks Luke!!!

    Always finish door jambs. I spray wax mine every time. It's the frame of interior. I definitely agree with veiwing your door jambs as interior. Good advice again.

    I'm a pretty new subscriber. Loving your content so far and I'm favoriting this video because I have a 2016 Legacy with basically the same interior. I'll make sure to come back and watch this video before my next interior cleaning to follow your tips! I bought my Legacy used and the previous owner had done something to leave spots on the display between the heated seat buttons that refused to come off. I ended up replacing the climate control assembly because it was so bad, and I want to make sure I don't make the same mistake they did!

    My question is If im detailing a really dirty doorjam first for me I would use my superclean and scrub, mop up, then use the Onr as a final wipe, right? I dont have a steam cleaner either. also, I really like the idea of putting it in a spray bottle. Great video! Im learning new stategies to dialing in doorjams. I will be trying this soon.

    Besides it’s cleaning and protective abilities you should also mention that the reason it stays clean ( surfaces) it’s because it’s anti static so dust or whatever doesn’t stick like other products that attract everything.....Buenos videos señor detallador. Saludos desde Los Angeles.....

    Nice tip...but id rather just save it for the outside...or even dilute it as a spray detailer...it works really well for that....for the interior just use Mags hyper dressing...its also Diluteable and and has UV properties...its a dedicated interior dressing and works great on leather seats too

    Hi Luke I have a 2017 legacy touring model with the on-sight safety package. Subaru warns not to use anything shiny on the dashboards. I've just been using a damp microfiber towel but would like to put some kind of protection on it. Does the ONR leave a shine ???? I just did the door jams yesterday with the Maguires quick wax so totally get where you're coming from on these door jams.

    • @wilsonautodetailing
      @wilsonautodetailing  6 лет назад

      Hey man! No it will not leave a shine on any hard textured surface, but even more what I would suggest is a product called Meguiars Quik Interior Detailer, leaves no shine, just keeps it that original black look, cleans light dust and dirt, and protects!! Awesome product for your scenario!

    Aside from cloth and carpet, most interior surfaces have a plastic based lacquer fundamentally similar to clearcoat, so you can use exterior products, just make sure you don't make your dash glossy, or any surface you use hands or feet on(steering wheel and pedals) slippery.

  • @tomevans5458
    @tomevans5458 6 лет назад +6

    Sounds like ONR could be used for a number of jobs. The do-it-yourselfer" could probably get away with this product for most of their car washing needs.

    Can you confirm your dilution rate for interior cleaning.. I have been using 1 OZ (two capfuls) for interior cleaning. Any downside? Will it streak?

  • @MO-hq4iz
    @MO-hq4iz 5 лет назад +29

    Don't use the wax on the Interior, use the blue regular ONR without the wax. You don't want the Interior to shine (reflect on the windscreen) or have wax coating on it.

      Wilson Auto Detailing thanks for the reply Luke! Your enthusiasm is infectious I love it! I'm no detailer in any way, just a guy interested in looking after his car. Can I ask a couple more questions?
      1) What do you use for black trim restoration? And could you use it under wheel arches? I always find after I clean the car and finish it off the arches never look finished, I guess I'm afraid to wipe anything under there as it gets so dirty.
      2) if the car is visibly fairly dirty. Is it worth using a pressure washer to knock off as much dirt as poss before the ONR method?
      Keep up the good work, can't wait for more vids!

    • @wilsonautodetailing
      @wilsonautodetailing  6 лет назад

      Hey Benjamin!! No problem!! I love questions! As far as black trim restoration I use a product called "Solution Finish." It is a permanent restoration product and SO EASY to use, I will hook up a link below for you to check it out! And of course if you buy it use my links! It gives me a little kickback and it would be SO MUCH appreciated! I dont think I understand what you mean when you say "arches" so get back to me on that and maybe describe to me what you are talking about, and with the pressure washer, that is definitely a great idea if the car is REALLY DIRTY, but most cars you are just dealing with average road dirt and dust so ONR does fine, but yes if the car is trashed, Im going the traditional soap, hose, and bucket method!

      Thanks Luke. I'd love to grab products using your links but I live in Melbourne Australia so not sure if the products ship this far? We do have Amazon coming to OZ next year which is very exciting to might be able to grab products via them from you.
      Sorry, not sure what they're called in the US but wheel arches are just the areas around/behind the wheels/tyres, think you call them wheel wells?
      Thanks again for the tips, love your work!
