Whenever I rewatch Bucky getting his new arm, I can’t help but feel that he’s a little disappointed. He finally got a break from all the fighting in Wakanda, only for it to come back to him.
how much for the arm
Plus T’Challa’s reaction. It’s an expression of sorrow and disappointment. Compassion. He knows Bucky is tired of war and wants to rest but he knows that Bucky won’t have a choice soon.

Sabastian Stan nailed the performance as Bucky/Winter Soldier. It's not just the vocal dialog but, more importantly, the non-verbal communication of the character he drops on us at 2:17 when presented with the arm. The sadness, fatigue, fear(?), he shows that is just for an instant then followed by resolve and acceptance. Probably my favorite line the character ever says... "Where's the fight?" It's just so powerful.
"This one may be tired of war..."
Bucky doesn't want to be a soldier again. Steve knew this and talked with him about giving the shield to Sam. Bucky agreed.
Exactly. People saying Bucky should’ve gotten the shield have fundamentally misunderstood his character.
@@12classics39 Bucky deserves to rest and live happily like Steve
even if he wanted to stay in the fight and wasnt constantly dragged back into it, he'd never allow himself to be a figure as important as captain America knowing what he did as the winter soldier
@@12classics39He was still dragged into it without his consent afterwards being victim blamed
@@smalf00 So you're saying he can't be a hero? Natasha did bad stuff as well, arguably worse that Bucky, but she's a hero. Why should Bucky's past be held against him forever when no other character is treated like that?
Bucky: Hey, is that an instruction manual for the arm?
Okoye: Don't worry about that, I'll just take it.
Michonne: YOINK! (runs) RICK! I GOT IT!
"Yeah, so . . . have you guys just been watching me farm with one hand, when you had a vibranium prosthetic this whole time? And whenever you walk by my hut, I hear someone mutter 'White Wolf', and while I appreciate your hospitality, giving me this mud hut at the outskirts of your 70th century metropolis, I'm not a huge fan of the nickname."

He hadn’t completed his therapy or training or whatever until wanna call it. So they probably didn’t trust him with an arm

Do you guys remember when scarlet witch had that super strong "russian" accent
After living 1700 miles from where I was raised for ten year my accent changed as well. ..
Never seen any of this .even in these later years. Something to look forward to
Are you saying you've never seen this movie? How much of the MCU have you seen?
@@chapterblaq I was in the same boat after Endgame. Just watched Loki Season 1 and missed all the new movies. Getting back to it and it's been great.
the thing I always had a problem with: Dr. Strange is tortured so much... here and at the Dormamu story. Its simply unrealistic, that there is no point in time, he simply would give in, without any sort of mind-rest he could go to... this is never explained.
Nah man! Dr. S be tough like that.
🤕🤕🤕
if he gives up the stone, he and half the universe die. should be enough motivation
@@OJTheMarriageCounselor :D motivation doesn't matter... no human being (and I guess for the sake of the story I shall assume he still is that) can endure endless pain... you go insane, you give up everything, just to make it end. as all psychologic studies about torture have shown - its not a good source for information, not because it doesn't work. but because you can't tell if the victim is simply saying anything to make it stop (or give up everything).
Long story short: with all the marvel characters, there is once or twice a story, where they endure a lot of pain for a certain time, with a goal (Rogers, Banner, Thor etc etc) or sacrifice themselves (Stark, Romanov etc), but not one where one endures endless pain for and possible infinity
No shit it's unrealistic LMFAO. This movie has purple aliens and colored crystals that can casually break every law of physics and THAT'S the unrealistic part? 😂😂
Lol, but you gave the answer yourself.
They suffered pain for some time for some goal.
Dr Strange _knew_ that he'd only get killed until Dormamu's patience wore out, and be tortured _until_ the ship reached Titan/Thanos (and there'd be... "judgment").
And he's seen millions of alternative time lines, and seen they all fail.
So he's actively choosing the path of least suffering.
And I hope your psychology courses also taught you that the few people who survived concentration camps, tended to focus on their agency and happiness _despite_ the unfair horrors surrounding them.
Being tortured is much more bearable to him than the alternative, and people who voluntarily choose pain cannot be broken.
(especially considering that that ship would not need to fly for months, let alone years or decades)
I scrolled past the thumbnail too fast and thought YT was trying to direct me toward "The Passion of the Christ".
"What of this one?" What do you think, yall are carrying the arm for no reason?
How come MCU Thanos doesn't use the Infinity Stones to create and provide enough resources for everybody in the universe?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Creating more resources just repeats the problem. More people will grow and use resources until they're right back in the same spot
Nothing shown by the stones has proven that they are able to make substance like that. The reality stone is the closets but as we seen in multiple scenes and it can warp reality but eventually everything returns back to its original state.
Wouldn’t solve anything. Population would increase at a rapid rate and you’d still be face with the same problem from the start
Energy cannot be created or destroyed. You can't create more resources than the ones that already exist in the universe, and if you force the atoms together to form more resources, it'll offset the balance. Example being water- its 2 hydrogen and 1 oxygen atom. Either you make a ton more water on earth but you lower air quality down to dangerous levels, or you keep it the way it is. Taking half of all life while brutal is fair and balanced
@@midamega-tool7393there is scarlet witch and doctor strange casting magic and you are stuck on the first law of thermodynamics?

Kinda, he is a sentient being due to the mind stone. It’s certainly a bit more morally ambiguous than how you are portraying it. But yes, destroying him was the best option and they should have done it sooner.
Vision has a soul. And that considers him human. How could you say that?
