    Belichick has already been on record saying he’s not impressed with Caleb. We’d be starting over at qb in a few years. I think sticking with Brown is the best option as long as he does well as interim. Provides the most consistency for Caleb and the team.

    • @brandenhidalgo3873
      @brandenhidalgo3873 Месяц назад

      @@ChadShadel I think everyone wants improvement lol. Consistency doesn't mean maintaining the status quo. It means maintaining a framework through which they can improve rather than breaking it down to the studs and starting from scratch. There is no guarantee either way, but at least with Brown we won't have to wait 2 seasons to see if it is working or not. It means you hold things constant that work and improve on the things that do not rather than building the thing from the ground up again. We couldn't properly evaluate Fields until year 3 because there was always uncertainty about whether the issue was Fields or the coaches. Now we know it was the coaches. Bring in a whole new coaching regime and we will be in the same boat. Sticking with Brown means less moving parts, which equals more efficient analysis of Caleb and his progress without any counfounding variables (i.e., new coaching). Brown and Caleb clearly have the rapport already. Let's skip that long ass step if we can.

    Jerry Krause did the same Alvarez thing. Not new. Whoever best fits with Calab’s skills is most valuable. Hire BB to help get the next coach. Consultant. Great input. No. Not the ND coach. Dumb idea. Right now Brown is best-right now.

    Ben Johnson is not Dan Campbell. And he would likely want a HC outside of the Lions division. There will be no shortage of suiters. 3:56 3:57

    So we have a young star QB and Hoge believes instead of getting him a great offensive mind to shepard his development we need a raw raw defensive coach? Really WTF!!! Outside of Ben Johnson this list is completely stupid. How about let's actually nuture the one good QB we have ever had and not risk ruining another QB with potentially shitty OCs over and over again. This isn't complicated...

    Poles should do an anonymous roster voting and see who the players would like the HC to be. Just for the insight.
    If "Thomas" wins out he should 100% be the HC next year. If he wins 3 out of 5 and beats the Packers maybe. If he loses the last 5 games then he 100% should not be the HC next year. If the offense plays well but the defense doesn't and they lose most of the remaining games then try and keep Thomas as the OC and bring in a defense coach as the HC. I like "Lovie Smith" for this situation. He's the best coach we've ever had since Ditka. This would be the best roster he's ever coached.
    It's a little early to decide on a coordinator for HC at the moment. We need to see how the season ends. I don't like how "Brian Flores" was reportedly speaking to players while he coached Miami. I'd like to see how "Marcus Freeman" and Notre Dame finish this season. He turned that team around for real. If Notre Dame goes to the National Championship he should seriously be considered.
    For me the #1 HC available is "Jon Gruden." Superbowl Champ and a winning HC. We know he casually used misogynistic and homophobic language to disparage people in emails several years ago. I don't believe he's a racist even though he made fun of a black man's lip size. Not thinking that affects how players respond to being coached by him. At the same time I do think the McCaskey's wouldn't hire him because of all of it. Gruden and Belichick are 15 million a year coaches. I think the most the McCaskey's have ever paid a coach is 4.5 million a year .. Eberflus. They always hire cheap 1st time NFL HC's. Most likely they'll do it again.😐

    Bill Belichek is not going to take his orders from a light weight like Ryan Poles, who has a combined win/loss record over the last three seasons of 14 and 33. So unless he has full control of personal, you can scratch him off the list.

    It would be repeating same mistake if bears hire any oc / dc & expect him to be a gr8 hc. We are done with this s**t. Bear shouldn’t settle for anyone other than a proven HC. Few will. Become available at the end of this season.

    First time HC, I’ll pass. You need a guy with chops. The best HC for the Bears, not just Caleb. This means I want a guy to challenge ALL guys. Andy\Pat, Lefleur\Aaron, John\Lamar. I don’t want a Saleh\Aaron an ass kisser.
