    Your energetic approach truly shows your enthuiasm for detailing. With that attitude, customers will notice and will be very thankful for your service. Even though I detail myself, if you were in my area, I would call you come to detail just to support you.. :) keep it up man, glad to see a younger man seem so passionate about your talent.

    For 3 decades I have used a shop vac to do 100% of interior. And I reverse the hose and use it to dry wheels, cracks and crevices where water hides, etc. It is hands down my most important peice of equipment. 2nd is my Honda pressure washer with CAT pump. I'm on my third one. Spray, scrub, suck.

    Use aluminum foil and water for cleaning chrome. It creates some sort of chemical reaction that I know nothing about, but it's the best for cleaning bad chrome. I used to restore old bicycles and that's how I learnt that trick. It won't repair damaged chrome, but it will clean it well with minimal to no damage.
    Just spray on some water and rub with the foil. Kitchen stuff is fine.
    For just dirty chrome any sort of detailer or whatever will do.

    Wilson Auto Detailing.....Luke, Please give a short list of the minimum amount of products, that can be purchased at Auto Zone, Walmart, Pep Boys etc, to do a very good job on a typical neighborhood car that needs to be detailed to get a low key, low price business going. I've found that most people just want a good job at a low price and less than "Professional" is acceptable for most people. Could you start with exterior then interior and last engine bay. I'm sure with a minimal amount of product, you could do a great job for most "I want to save a buck" customers. By the way, you have the best channel out there. IMHO.

    I'm a new subscriber, new to detailing mostly my own and family's cars as a weekend warrior but I love all the info from detailers. I've always wondered, if people invent new things and engineers invent new products, why do detailers stick with older products and so hesitant to try new products that could possibly be better? Just found you today but I'll definitely be enjoying your videos. You've got a great personality and seem very knowledgeable! Keep up the great work and may you continue to be blessed with lots of business.

    Give super clean a try....it's much cheaper and just as powerful if not more than megs apc and/or super degreaser...at $10 a gallon and powerful diluted at 8:1 it's very cost effective and safer than purple power even though it's higher on the ph scale. Cheers!

    Hey man, first off let me say I appreciate your time that you take to make these videos. I have some questions if you don't mind me asking. I have a nack for detail when it comes to doing interior and exterior and I drive for Uber and Lyft so I am always cleaning my car. I have had so many people ask me if I would do theirs if they paid me because I do such a thorough job. I basically can take a vehicle that hasn't been cleaned in several years and make it look as if it just came off the car lot for the first time. I would like to start a business doing it. Would you say it's better to do mobile auto detailing or have a shop or something to have them bring it to? Meaning what do you think is more profitable and what brings in more income? Or both? Also I only have my personal things I use which is very minimal so what do you think the bare necessary items I would need in order to start out? I won't keep bombarding you with questions but I would appreciate your feedback. :) Thanks again bro for making these videos your awesome!!!

    Hey, Wilson. I don't know if you remember my previous post. I know you do tend to ramble, but I guess that's just your personality. But, after watching your comparison video with the Speed Master and EZ Detail Brush, I grown to like and enjoy your channel. I don't use raccoon brushes when I detail a vehicle, but I do use a tire brush. I can relate with you when it comes to bristle stiffness and softness. I've used different tire brushes before with different levels of softness and stiffness and know that some do the job better than others. So, hearing you go into detail with the quality of your equipment shows me you really do know your stuff and not someone who washes cars and automatically think that they're a detailer. So, in conclusion, I like to say is I enjoy your channel. Continue doing what you're doing and good luck building your business.

      I actually do not blow out cars so I am not the best person to ask for that specific scenario, but it depends on what tool you're using because all of them eat up air at different levels, this tank works great for things like the tornador

      Mad Wax in all honesty it's Farley easy to clean those, that if you are worried about scratching you could always fill a spray bottle with one cap of ONR and distilled water and use that as a very lubricantes cleaner, but most of the time I will just use a microfiber and some 50/50 alcohol and water solution

  • @XZAYLO
    @XZAYLO 7 лет назад +1

    thanks for the video brother. Is your air compressor strong enough to run spray guns? I paint cars on the side and would like to know if Its enough for painting for around 5-10 mins in intervals. How did you set up your car for all your detailing? I have a small coupe. Is that enough to do mobile detailing? One last question, If a client accidentally spilled their entire jug of hand soap in the car in the trunk and it was leaking through the small cracks, how would you clean it all up. I had such a hard time because the soap was so hard to contain, it was slippery and using paper towels just made a huge mess. I sprayed brake cleaner and it stank up the trunk for so long! Mind you this was before I knew about basic detailing.

    • @wilsonautodetailing
      @wilsonautodetailing  7 лет назад

      Hey man! As far as the air compressor, I dont know that it is what you are looking for, because 5 to 10 minute intervals would be a little bit too much if you ask me, for this little air compressor to take! With liquid spills like that, that are HUGE, youre going to have to go with some type of extractor, I use a little rug doctor, check out my video on it and let me know if that helps!!! ruclips.net/video/kPMrjQLOZM4/видео.html

    How do you find time to film, edit, and upload daily videos and still be a full time minister and run a profitable detailing business?

    I have a bunch of questions: I want to do detailing on the side as a hobby, do i need insurance to do it? What do you recommend in regards to insurance???

      Definitely a great question, but I myself do not even have insurance... it has never been something that I saw as necessary for my business... the few times that it may have been needed, and I mean few... like maybe twice in the last 7 years, one could just pay out of pocket, and that would be much cheaper than years of paying for insurance that you do not use, so Im not exactly sure which insurance to suggest! Im sorry! I know a lot of detailers would disagree with me though, and I'm sure they could tell you!! You might ask Oscar, from "detail groove" he is awesome, and he's got an awesome youtube channel, so definitely ask him and see what he says!

      +Al Barnhill I actually have never had my hands on one so I don't think I can comment but I would say that normally with that sort of stuff you tend to get what you pay for so I don't know that I would encourage you to get it but then Again it could be awesome! You tell me if you do end up buying it.
