My thoughts are, Pep is trying to get himself sacked, he keeps saying things like "I'm not good enough". I think he now realizes that this team needs a full rebuild and he has no interest in sticking around for that, plus maybe the hearings have not gone well and he wants out before they are punished. I know he signed a new contract but 2 years isn't exactly showing long-term commitment is it. The players also seem content to just coast through games and collect their money, they have won everything there is to win at City. In their minds they have nothing to prove anymore. They need to overhaul the team and get in hungrier players but with the charges hanging over them I'm sure players will be hesitant to join. I'm not ruling City out of going on a winning streak and getting back into the title race, they've done it before after all but it seems more unlikely each week. I don't think Pep should be sacked any time soon but if he keeps up with this attitude, the City board may have no choice.

SAF did more than Pep could ever do. If Pep wants a new challenge (end his contract) why not take a year out (as he did after Barca) and then go to Genoa or Auxerre or Majorca and get them to dominate their league and then become the best team in Europe. That’s what The Goat did at Aberdeen and Cloughie did with Forest. Pep has never had to build a team of decent players, good players and ordinary players. He’s always had world class players and international players at his disposal. He is a very good coach but he’s never experienced what these two amazing managers have and we are now seeing how difficult it is for him.

@@lawmantheonetrueking3739this is such a ridiculous ask. No manager in the world can take a team from the bottom of the league and dominate a competitive league for years. It’s impossible in the modern game due to the impact of finances.
If you magically do well, the next year richer teams WILL pick off your best players or due to FFP rules, a team at the bottom with little revenue will have to sell players who want bigger contracts. There’s no guarantee the replacements you get will immediately be at the top level.
Can you show me an example from the last 30 years of a poor team from the bottom dominating one of the top 5 leagues for multiple years?

When Man City are at their best their passing and movement is quick, methodical and decisive that will cause chaos but I’m not seeing that from this side, mainly Because they aren’t as mobile as they used to be and there’s too many off form. You’re right grinding out championships season after season sometimes by the odd point or two will definitely have taken its toll, however the squad in the main is now 7 years old so although it knows how to win titles it’s starting to show its age . It needs help and let’s face it Man City still have the pull for players it had in the past so players will still want to come.

Just a quick message to point out Hojlund didn't embarrass himself later in the game, it was a penalty and a foul by Dias. But don't worry guys lets just ignore the truth, laughable.

Hes going to walk soon. He was wanting a way out without it looking obvious, but he looks immune to getting sacked, so hes going to, im leaving to help better the club because its not working for me anymore, and the fans are going to say "good old pep, he didn't even want a compensation package so hes left on his own accord". England should of waited because he would of definitely walked straight into that job.

United nicked the win but lets be honest it was 2 poor sides low on confidence. To make out Amorim's the 2nd coming off the back of that is premature to say the least as Jeff said they had 1 shot on target before the late penalty

As a Liverpool fan, I must say, that was a painful watch! Mediocre match really. The only silver lining is that we all know for sure, Pep is nowhere near the tittle, let alone top 4. Pep should've taken Klopp's clue and retire with him! As of now, Pep looks clueless as to how he's gonna climb out of the hole they are in!
