Absolutely true this is an albergue like no other. I was there in june 2017 and Fernanda keeps up the same super quality and atmosphere. I had exactly the same afternoon with home made wine, Fernanda fried fish burgers for us, prepared a delicious home made meal and we sang and danced into the evening. Incredible, day after day, she is providing this top experience. Do not miss it.
By the way, i do not remember having to walk much on the shoulder of dangerous roads? Selective memory or has the camino there changed in 6 years...?
I was there last April and don’t remember any road walking that day either.
Casa Fernanda is a great place to stay. I was there in May 23 with a remarkable evening.
We loved that place. Hoping to return some day.

Wow! Casa Fernanda really lives up to its reputation! That looks like such a good time, and it was great to see you dancing Salsa again on the Camino. All that road-walking looks daunting, though. At least at the end of the day there was good food, good friends, and good memories made. 🥰

Shame the Camino is on so many roads. That takes away some of the magic, and it is dangerous too. Looks like you are back to Altra Lone Peak? I use them all the time but I remember you used Altra Olympus as well. I haven't used them yet but I am thinking about trying. Any preferences?
Those sections on the road were my least favorite of the trip. I'm still using the Olympus 5.
