    I'm sending a huge hug 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 that was tired to the woman that opened her door to the pilgrim. Gorgeous marvellous woman. I would love to open an albergue or B&B along the Camino.

    Nice job, love the music. I'm leaning towards this route, thinking I'll get tired of the beach route.

    Loved your video. We are wondering what to do now that we have finished the Frances. We watched one vid on the Portuguese and it showed lots of road walking and often without footpaths. Your video showed none of that and looked beautiful. You both did the coastal for a day and cut across to the traditional.
    We had given up on the Portuguese but you have put it back on the agenda.
    Did you encounter much road walking through traffic ?

      Thanks for the comments ,much appreciated. We encountered a bit on our second day when we crossed over from the coastal. Afterwards occasionally but nothing too long or with the thought this could be dangerous. Hope that helps.

      It was truly a wonderful experience with the whole family. Most of her intentions as a host are expressed in my video.It is worth noting she has become very popular and I would try to book your bed as soon as possible. Buen Camino.

    Is it better to prebook hotels or just turn up to the albergues?

      It depends on where you are and what time and day.Obviously early on a Sunday many cafes are closed.In saying that overall we didn't go hungry.

    Your video makes the first two days look straightforward and reasonably nice but many people have posted videos of this trip complaining that the start of the camino de Portugues is dull, with a lot of noise and traffic. I like the route you chose. What is your honest opinion of the first two days?

    • @vichanisch4361
      @vichanisch4361  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the comments.I enjoyed those days,however they say walking close to the airport is uninteresting.We then cut across to the central route as I thought it would be more cultural as we live near the coast in Australia

      No major inclines we found it much easier than the first few days out of St Jean Pied de Port in France on the French route.

      It took a total of 14 days to reach Santiago with an additional 2 days relaxing in Tui Spain.Costs are a bit more difficult to explain.As there were 3 of us we decided to have private rooms as well as albergues.

    Hey Vic! How timely! I am doing this same route starting on September 23rd. Weather advice??

    • @vichanisch4361
      @vichanisch4361  Год назад +1

      We did it in April and only 2 days of short rain.Mornings where cool.September should be much warmer. Be flexible, if the weather turns bad and you don't want to go on stay there.We met some of our now camino family on such an occasion.
