- On the 9th of August 2023, I embarked on a solo pilgrimage from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago de Compostela, continuing to Fisterra and Muxia. This video captures just a tiny fraction of the experiences and thoughts from my 27-day journey through Spain under the scorching August sun. From the rugged Pyrenees, deserted Meseta, and lush forests of Galicia to the historic streets of Santiago, and onward to the edge of the world at Fisterra and Muxia, each step revealed new layers of magic, gratitude, and wonder.
Join me as I share the essence of this transformative pilgrimage, and may the spirit of the Camino inspire and guide all those who embark on this incredible journey.

In La Meseta, when I was a kid, there was dozens of kms of landscape under wheat or rye cultivation... that become in a yellow - golden color around July / August. Imagine the wind making golden waves in the crepuscular sun... These are my youthful memories. Gracias por un documental tan bonito, Liola. Abrazos.

Hey Olga, I just finished my Camino 2 weeks ago. I walked 7 caminos but this was only the second time walking a 30+ days one and it was extremely transformative for me with both strong positive and negative emotions. Such a beautiful film. I remembered my own two Caminos, both the Primitivo that I walked at the same time as you walked the Frances in August 2023, and then in May / June this year, I also walked Frances. Not as hot as your Camino, but I recogize so many places and atmospheres. I loved this video, than you and congratulations! I did 2 caminos last year, this Frances and also the Norte. It was the Frances that had the most profound effect and watching your video just brought back so many memories from different parts of the route. You made me shed tears of joy for memories that perhaps already shadowed. When I heard the piper in Santiago de Compestella all of my tears got released and I felt so happy for you as I could feel once again this feeling of reaching this incredible destination!

Thank you, Mark! I completely agree, walking early in the morning was also my favourite time on the Camino. It was definitely challenging for me, as I’m not the bravest person, and walking alone in the dark was quite daunting. However, it was also the most magical part, being alone with my thoughts, with all senses heightened, and feeling like part of a parallel universe before dawn. The magical sunrises I witnessed along the way were truly unmatched! 🌅✨

I'm really inspired by your march and it gives me lots of thoughts like de body, mind and soul stages, the writing on the sign '...with time you realize that true learning involves a lot of unlearning...', the loneliness but also the togetherness and drive with other pilgrims.

I'm in my 60s and I still dream of doing the Camino. I really enjoyed your video. How long did it take you to do the 900 km? Including rest days. You should do a follow-up video of what you packed and of what you actually used, unless if you did already😊❤
