A. T. You should really narrate for audible, and im not the only one who supports the idea. Thanks for your efforts. I would never have thought id enjoy avp stories!
I'd gladly exchange all the prometheus shit the hollywood shit out for a few more hours of Alien Theory narrating comics. Much better stories and you can taste the passion behind it.
These Yautja's are TOO Prideful. Not making cybernetic limbs for their lost ones in combat is a BIG flaw since they are handicapping them on purpose only to keep their Pride. Stupid but Admirable to see such creatures keep on Hunting even when they know they could end up losing. Dying with Honor.
One of my late Grandfathers bought me the first issue of Aliens vs Predator: Duel at a local gas station when I was running around with him one day back when I was a kid when it was first released. I still have it to this day with the rest of comic books and manga I have
@@erikd4634 I wish I had those. I do have the first two issues of Superman vs Aliens. I don't even like him. Bought them just to see The Man of Steal get thrashed by the Xenomorphs
Look for some of the audio books, best order would be "Out of the Shadows", "River of Pain" and "Sea of Sorrows". Specifically the drama versions, the straight readings are good but the dramas are great, as Alien Theory has attested to previously.
I appreciate that they took into account the fact that Colonial Marines would have put up a better fight against the Predator than Dutch and his team - because they have better weapons and equipment.
That's was part of the whole plan. Loosely based on the novels/comics. With a female Asian actresses as protagonist. But that was to much like right. We got two average AVP movies instead. First was doable and the second straight to the 🥃 liquor 🏪 store.
Love the sfx you added. The story telling level on this reminded me of the Audible Book, Aliens: River of Pain. I hope one day they offer you a narrative contract.
Ah, excellent. I don't care much for reading comics on my computer, and tracking down physical copies of the good ones is too much of a hassle, so listening to your soothing voice with great visuals is the best way to enjoy these kind of stories.
Are there more stories regarding Noguchi after she vanishes from Ryushi? Would be absolutely insane if she ended up going on hunts with more Yautja or even leading a hunt! Thanks for all the content man, absolutely love this playlist(3rd or 4th watch through) and all the Alien/Predator content! keep up the great work!
There is one thing I just can't wrap my head around: if super amazing storylines like this comic already exist and existed, how hard can it be to just film a movie based on one or several of these comics? How hard can that possibly be?
These stories are mostly narrated. You are told what the characters are thinking and how they feel. Whereas in movies you mostly just watch the acting and the actors need to somehow convey these feelings without actually using words. You would lose a lot of back story behind some characters. Thats why movie adaptations of books are never as good.
Its wild that hollywood dont get that. Japan has been adapting their mangas into anime where they follow the orginak story and it's working wonders in there, why tf cant hollywood do that
I noticed the step-up in production values with the background sound effects and the wall of fire but i also noticed a step-up in your vocal delivery, you seem just a wee bit more emotive and it really works! Thanks as always Mr. Theory!
Its kindve funny too I've listened to this same series of urs 3 times i think now and every time I get more and more impressed with ur narration and attention to detail, I also know u add things that makes the writing feel and sound more natural when spoken aloud , I've seen pages where the dialogue boxes don't match 100% with ur spoken word, that takes a ton of effort (especially for something 99% of those who listen won't even know ur doing) its shit like that ,that makes ur channel something special my friend , I hope u never stop making content.
Another brilliant narration, watched them all again today in order - a brilliant way to start 2021! So some questions: Is Cpt Glass + Light Stepper ever heard from again? Will you be narrating more of the Noguchi storyline this year?
Really good series. I have a recommendation though going forward for new users and part timers. You should label these mini series episode 1 , 2, 3 etc. I listen on my iPhone and it can be difficult to navigate the series especially as a trawl through to find the videos I like. Thanks for your hard work. Matt
Psycho Werekitsune I am aware of that. However the navigation sequence when using an iPhone isn’t great on a playlist. When your choosing a video from mid way through the mini series. I generally work it out. Numbering would just make life easier. Simply a recommendation. Furthermore. Labelling the videos as episodes would be a really nice touch. I want to share the videos with friends and might ask “have you watched episode 2 yet?” Or even “part 2”. My thoughts are that this might entice conversation amongst followers and be a great way to introduce others to the format. Again I’m very grateful for all the hard work and talent that is in display throughout these videos. I’ve never read the comics and was unaware of the vast amount of lore until now. Matt
The next to last panel always reminded me of the vhs cover of "Enemy Mine" :) Loved the two Alien vs Predator Duel issues; I remember buying these in gradeschool specifically for the pred-alien, but ended up getting a pretty good story as well :) Great reading!
Nice series, thank you! Can't believe I have not fullu watched it before today. Shows nicely how humans and yautjas are both hunters. Yautjas embraced their hunting traditions while humans gradually gave it up to go with innovation. Humans became survivals and yautjas are predators. Each has their strenghts and weaknesses. Humans are cunning but there are often greedy persons who make others do work for them. Yautjas have tradition for invidual honor and are very capable in combat but have tendency for what humans see as foolish actions just to lose their lives. In the end both together can achieve great results.
it would be really cool if you could cover her time hunting with the predators along with narrating predator prey to the heavens as a prelude to what i believe is her as of now final appearance in AVP: Three world war. Both of those are some of my favorite storylines of the IP with amazing art to boot. Great video.

Laying in bed, it's 10:30 and I just finished this from the start. This was an amazing job man, thanks so much for making this! You'd be great narrating on audible, you should look in to become a narrator. You have the portfolio behind you now so I would say go for it, you'd kill it! Thanks again
Once again, your narration of another "Alien" story is top notch. I can (and have) order some take out, sit and eat while listening. I realize that you've done this awhile...but how do you do it? Well anyway I can't for your next narration. Have a great weekend!
I've always liked this story because neither the hardass, motivated marine nor the cool predator die at the end. Every other story with colonial marines lays on the cynicism about duty and honor so hard it's tiresome, this comic is really refreshing by comparison. Not to mention male leads that last to the end are even rarer in Aliens.
Hello Alien Theory. No idea if you will ever even read this, but I've been a 'on/off' watcher of your channel for quite some time now. Watching a video about Bishop here, an in dept explanation about 'Alien 3' there... This week I was stumbling over 'The Battle for Ryushi', not realising this was 'just' part of a playlist, telling a story that was much longer. Then I had to listen to the whole list. (Perfect while tinkering/soldering!) Man, the love and work you put into those videos is amazing. I know that you basically 'just' retell a comic book, but this would be an understatement of the size of the Nostromo. The details you add, the way you give each person his or her own personality... I wonder how long it takes to plan and produce this kind of content. I feel now compelled to do two things - one, finally become a subscriber and two, to now start listening to the whole 'Accounts of the Earth War' playlist. Also I wonder where Machiko Noguchi went and what happened to her?

There's always something incredibly satisfying about stories where the humans and predators come to an agreement. Thanks for another killer video.
It's only in the lore, where you find out how much predators respect and loath humans at the same time.

how dishonorable for that one handed preditor to kill that unarmed marine trying to make peace.
