- Ellen Ripley and her crew left Gateway Station aboard the vessel Kurtz, in search of the Mother Queen Xenomorph - a creature they believed to transmit coordinates to the true alien homeworld. Their mission was to capture this queen in the hopes to lure the aliens on earth to their queen, and ultimately, their own destruction.

Loving me some Ripley right now. Strong female lead done right. Even in this comic. I love the fact that she said she didn't really come to save the earth, or whatever. She came for the love of her daughter. And the time she lost. That's real talk.❤

Such a sad but poignant moment in the movie. Ripley facing the loss of her own child who she never got to see grow up while also trying to console this little girl in front of her who has lived through an unimaginable nightmare. Cameron really nailed it with that one. He knew just when to turn the volume down and show the characters being human and vulnerable and when to crank it back up. This level of storytelling is lost in modern cinema for sure.
Her daughter will always be known as a badass isolation was amazing
In a perfect world James Cameron should have directed or wrote all the Alien sequels.

@Jimmy De'Souza You can't simply say a flim is bad because it uses a convenient plot device, without addressing everything the film does well. Suspension of disbelief is required for most movies, and its fine as long as the film is strong fundamentally. Cinematography > Logical Consistency

that line from ripley where she says "I wonder if those things have the right to exist as any of us" sounds like something she would never ever consider saying ever.
She has seen better than anyone else how good the xenomorphs are at survival and maybe even respects them in some way.
Stumbled across this channel 2 weeks ago...I binged all of these episodes and this one came just in time...I feel fortunate because It would've sucked waiting 2 years for the follow up.
I’ve always loved how gently honest Ripley is with Newt. Doesn’t outright lie to ease the child’s fears that an alien grew in her Mum, just stating simply, “I don’t know.” I think kids are aware of so much more than adults give them credit for. I remember being a kid myself and understanding when adults spoke to me vs. patronizing me and it always made me regard them a little suspiciously, whether they meant any harm in their lies or not...because many did intend harm. I feel the character Ripley may been written with this insight herself, understanding how important it was for Newt to trust her, even though adult instinct is often to protect by withholding truth.
These comics really scratch my Alien space horror itch. Glad for this channel because I don’t know anyone in my life who shares admiration for the franchise.

their interactions (and some of the others) were what helped keep the story grounded in humanity despite all the sci-fi horror and war movie stuff happening around them. Great acting jobs all around especially the little girl for being so young and having to somehow play a character that traumatized.

Thank you for taking on this project. I can only imagine how much work you put in to bring 'Accounts of the Earth War' to life. From the selection of eerie sounds and music in the background, the editing, the use of varied media for the visuals, to your voice, (ever thought of doing audiobooks? If you've already done them...never mind), made this series something special.
I had a particularly difficult night the other week due to illness and lost myself in this series. It helped tremendously to have my mind focused on a gripping story. Thank you again - your dedication to your work is greatly appreciated.
The most amazing thing about Alien for me is how despite how much the world is fleshed out, there's always so much that I yearn to know about the xenomorphs, the fall of Earth, etc. and I can never seem to find what would put me at ease.

Brilliant story I thought. I was wondering why Ripley and the marines never use unmanned weapons, synthetics and bombs, but then I remembered that it's simply because the stories are only good because that they ignore issues like this. Cheers!

@@trustymilkshake well , if we remove the silly 'diffrent' aliens and smooching time crap....well....'stealing' some of the aliens physical advantages through accident on a genetic lvl in cloning and a badass reborn ripley...well....its hard not to love those parts ,or the peek into android abuse ,and history of human society etc in it.
in the comics, there is a character called Eloise who is a vat-grown prototype Alien/humanoid android hybrid created by using Queen DNA.
That one was great! One whole hour of awesomeness, as we draw closer to the end of the series! Only in the end of this episode I realized there was only one left and now I am here, being sad about a series that ended a year ago! Only goes to show the quality of your series!

As always I salute your incredible telling of this story. It just wouldn't be as awesome reading it myself. This was a great ride. The intensity of the mission, Ripley facing off with the Queen of Queens, and the timely rescue. This was just tons of fun.

I'd say some ought to give Alien Theory a budget, and creative freedom, and watch the Alien franchise light up again, the fans happy, and the bucks roll in. Though with the current owners of the franchise, I'm not so sure you'd get the freedom?.... So ima just gonna look on the bright side, and toward the next Alien Theory upload :)
