    Wow I was on that side of Trinidad that same day. I tried driving into Carat shed beach around 1pm and it was full to the brim, so I turned back and tried locating this particular beach but I took all the wrong turns lol. So I gave up and went Clifton Hill 😂

    • @pointboy12
      @pointboy12  Год назад

      @@kamilahfigaro8909 Yes finding that beach is very easy and there are two routes. One way is to enter at the Pitch Lake side and just follow the road. The other route is to enter near the recreation ground (close to the road to Carat Shed) and again just follow the road. However both routes have some bad sections were you have to drive very slowly. I am glad you found it and on a day when the water was blue.

    • @pointboy12
      @pointboy12  Год назад

      I do not know. You will notice that initially the sand is a golden brown color and then changes to a dark color. I believe the dark sand is the section of the beach that is covered by water at high tide.

    • @ianbynoe6515
      @ianbynoe6515 Год назад

      @@pointboy12 , do you know if silt comes in on the beach sometimes? That could be the problem. Because both Guyana and Venezuela suffer from this problem and their beaches looks exactly like this.

    • @pointboy12
      @pointboy12  Год назад +1

      @@ianbynoe6515 I believe that is part of th reason because this beach is on the Gulf of Paria and so would have some of the river outflow in the rainly season. I also believe that the dark color is contributed to by the closeness of the Pitch Lake.
