Sounds exactly like the ones I drove 35 yrs ago they make a great noise inside and pulled harder than I though they would have Back then you couldnt give one away nobody wanted them. SAme with the Darts
No one knows better than I that these first gen 'cudas had no sales appeal back in 1990. I HAPPENED to OWN a '65 killer fish Mopar that was a white elephant 🐘 in disguise.
My first car was a hand me down 65' Barracuda. The 65 and 66' barracudas were just fastback Valients. The 64' Mustang was a Falcon with a sporty body. The Camaro was all new from the ground up sitting on a shortened Nova chassis.
If I'm right, the center stripes are wrong. They should be offset from center towards the passenger side. And you'll break the stock 7 3/4 rear end often when drag racing. Upgrade to the 8in. rear. Also go with 14 inch rims. That's an upgrade from the stock 13 inch rims.
Nice formula S be careful though because those little cracks in the paint at the base of the A-pillar are signs of the unibody frame twisting it’s common with the 65-66 formula S as they were very light, good luck though
Lifters need adjustment and also what's making all that noise? It's too bad those speakers are mounted on the trunk divider makes it usless. I guess listing the price on the web site is out of the question?

These cars came from the factory with just single exhaust.

Some people claim these cars came with factory dual exhaust and that's a big No
Thought you might like this little bit of old nostalgia! Enjoy…
The 273 was a modest eight, but it was fortified to a T.
Very nice!!!
Soooo…what did it go for…?
I bet it was north of $30,000.
Missing rear seat hold down clips

I want it, I need it NOW😐
Actually, dual exhausts were an option with the solid lifter 4bbl Hi Po 273. Ao whoever says otherwise, knows nothing

@@rocksolidmotorsportsthanks
were you going to haul some 2x4's in your classic barracuda?🤣 I get it, but nobody is buying this to haul stuff around.
Used to have 1 w\o put a 340 in 3:4
Gold colored window trim inserts look real bad also missing corner clips
Very nice. I realize the 273 has mechanical lifters, but sounds like it needs to be adjusted. Does the tach work?
I had a 273 yeah they can sound like a typewiter. I wondered about the gauges too
The tachometer and all of the gauges operate just as they should.
The lifters sound great if they are silent they’re too tight and your losing power
That's a lot for a car that is clearly not perfect. It's missing some trim pieces around the rear window, no? maybe i'm just to picky.
How much were they asking? Its sold now.
@@johnnyproctor I want to say $35k. If they paid over 30, then they are crazy.
