You think all those animals raised for food would just be released? Cows would go extinct almost overnight as they would be slaughtered and disposed of. Now you have genocided livestock you have a massive hole in the CO2 cycle plus you've removed the most ecologically natural source of plant nutrition, among many other life forms, as manure is excellent natural fertiliser. So, now you have to depend on man-made chemical fertilisers which create monoculture conditions in the soil. This, in turn destroys the habitats of all manner of other creatures like various insects such as dung beetles. This loss of biodiversity accelerates as the predators of those beetles & worms etc. (like birds) have insufficient food and thus further decreases the quality of life across the entire ecosystem in a vicious circle. Furthermore, large ruminant livestock form a key part of the CO2 cycle, which (if you believe the "anthropogenic CO2 global warming" lie) means you have just removed a huge natural sink and now have something like 9 trillion metric tonnes of additional atmospheric CO2 to contend with. Heh, that’s cheap. I used to do a run to a nearby McD drive thru every now and then, when we couldn’t be arsed to do a home cooked meal. Burgers, fries, no soft drinks but maybe a sundae. €35 for the 2 of us. Screw that… we can get some actual Italian pizza for that. And the burgers aren’t as good, fries are a smaller serving and the sundae is smaller as well. And it’s not just McD, Burger King and KFC are just as bad (worse: KFC no longer sells their Cole Slaw). I’m stocking up on some easy to prepare frozen foods instead. Cheaper and tastier… and probably more healthful as well.
Last time I went to Wendy's on a road trip the cost for 3 people was close to 50 dollars. After that, we decided to just pack our own food and even go as far as to bring a camping stove and cook in rest areas. Why? Better food and cheaper.
You got off cheap - it's insane - visiting a fast food place used to be a "treat" until a few years ago it was a less expensive option now it's better to go either "fast casual" or make the time to make a meal at home...
My problems with McDonald's actually started round six years ago, when my local McDonald's failed to get my order correct!! How hard IS IT, to make a cheeseburger, WITH a piece of meat on it....called a "burger" to start with???? BUT instead I got a cheese sandwich wrapped in a cheeseburger wrapper instead!! AND this has been an on going, long time problem in my local McDonald's which is why THIS event was the last TIME I are there!!! After all, it seems like EVERY TIME I go to my local store......they fail to get my order served to me correctly!!!! And it isn't "hard things" or custom orders either!!! IF I order a "Bacon, egg and cheese biscuit", I expect to get Bacon, egg and cheese ON IT.....not a plain biscuit!! The name of the products TELLS YOU what should be in it...BUT I instead have more than once gotten a plain biscuit....which IS NOT what I ordered!! MY POINT IS.....I stopped eating at my local McDonald's because the service is insanely poor, the quality of the food being the second reason and then I feel it is a waste of time and energy arguing with them constantly!!!
The crazy thing to me is that sit-down resturants like Cheddars, O'Charley's, Applebees etc are actually CHEAPER than fast food for their "lunch deals".

people are only willing to pay so much for convenience when the quality is low. They have effectively priced themselves out of the market. Almost anywhere you go if you spend another dollar or two, the quality goes from 1 star to at least 3 star. Plus gas stations aren't pullling the drink shenanigans, giant drink, however much ice you want at half the price of mcdonalds....some even make food on order now. and you usually can watch them fry the food in front of you, and it doesn't take long. I've never received cold fries from sheetz for instance.
McDonald's is pretty expensive here in Texas. A single double cheeseburger is $3 plus 8% tax. A big Mac meal with one big Mac, medium fries and medium drink is about $10 after tax. That's ridiculous. You know for a fact it costs them basically nothing to get the ingredients for their food.

We would go as a family to a slightly larger town to get groceries (because the prices were better) every other week. We’d do McDonald’s as a treat because we didn’t have much money. We’d raid the dollar menu. It was fantastic! On special occasions, we’d get the kids meal for the toys. With today’s prices, we wouldn’t even have been able to do that.
Don't let them tell you they are doing these things because they HAVE to. They do not need to charge $6 for a breakfast sandwich. 2 Pieces of bread, an egg, and a piece of cheese, does not cost this company $6. And the more they pretend these changes are anything other than greedy business owners trying to maximize profits, the less likely I'll be to return. I already only go to McDonalds like 5 times a year, and every time is only for a large iced coffee. And even that is getting too expensive these days.

On the refill situation. My wife works for a local small grocery store. McDonald's probably has better pricing, but with the cost of syrup, it costs closer to 30 cents per refill. So even with this extra cost, it should only be 20-30 cents at most. Probably bump it up at least a dollar.
Philippines McD's are prevalent as JollyBees. The price for a 1/4lb meal here is 195 Philippine pesos (3.39usd). Wages are a big factor as here it takes a full time Filipina worker to have 15.00usd a week as opposed to the US they get 20.00 an hour+++

@@Sarah-fs1xw 😂 moral? 😂 virtue signalling idiot more like.
What do you think would happen to all the livestock if everyone went vegan?
Trees are the only plant form large enough to compare, but take 100 times longer to absorb CO2 per equivalent mass.
Stop pretending your veganism is anything other than either:-

b) vacuous, ill considered virtue signalling;

And the burgers aren’t as good, fries are a smaller serving and the sundae is smaller as well. And it’s not just McD, Burger King and KFC are just as bad (worse: KFC no longer sells their Cole Slaw).

How hard IS IT, to make a cheeseburger, WITH a piece of meat on it....called a "burger" to start with???? BUT instead I got a cheese sandwich wrapped in a cheeseburger wrapper instead!!

After all, it seems like EVERY TIME I go to my local store......they fail to get my order served to me correctly!!!! And it isn't "hard things" or custom orders either!!! we all have to vote out the establishment cronies (Democrats/RINOS) out of ALL Federal, state and local governments! the more they stay, the worse it'll get!
You can’t vote your way out of a dictatorship son.. cartridge box votes from now on
sry wont help i live far from the us and its the same over here
The only solution is to leave the country, or go off grid to limit their impact on your life (and hope they dont sent an agency to your door like the ATF).
Other than none of the politicians (of both parties) caring about the citizenry voting isn't going to change any of this.
I cannot remember the last time I’ve been to McDonald’s. I think it was when I payed $10 for a 10 piece chicken McNugget with small fry and medium drink.
Seriously, McDonald’s cost for these items in total are around .36 cents. I payed more than $10 after tax.
We had 6 pack bottle drinks go from 3-3.50 to 4.80-6 here in Texas. Its getting insane.
I was in a Waukegan, IL McDonald's on Mothers Day. The medium Coke for dine in was packed with ice, and I thought no problem, as I was dining in and the fountain was visible across the dining area. I went to refill...IT WAS TURNED OFF! I asked for a refill and was refused unless I paid for another one. Unbelievable. Probably 2 oz of actual beverage in an ice packed cup. Goodbye McDonald's.
good
What's hilarious too is that if you use their app to order and you are adding a drink it has customize options. The only options it gives you outside of default are extra ice or no ice. I typically would order my drink with light ice if going through the drive thru, but now they want you to use the app and I don't have that option. So I choose no ice because F you McD's.
They had to turn them off as a lot of people were walking in with old cups and stealing soda in massive amounts without buying anything.
What makes me laugh is they didn't think people would notice or care....
I foresaw this was going to happen almost four years ago. Everything affects prices; increase in transportation costs, drastic increase in labor costs, supply cost, etc. Every smart business has a target profit margin they must maintain. It’s all about keeping the share holders happy. Prices are going to continue to get higher not only in the fast food industry but everywhere else unfortunately. Be wise where you spend your money.
What a blessing for the health of the people in this country
Lets see, more than $30 for 2 crappy meals and fountain drinks at mcd? Or $45 at your local pub for premium burgers with fries and some beers. I'm supporting my local pub.
That's nice and all. But when you are on your short lunch break at work and dont have sit down kind of time, or when you are on that 3 am roadtrip and need something to eat in this town because itll be a few hours before you can stop anywhere again, you are left with 1 choice. And you know it. And they know you know it. All these "I go to my local this and that" sre failing to take into account the actual reasoning why people go there. In and out in a few minutes tops and always open no matter what. "Meemaw and paws homemade burgers and fries" doesnt open till 11 am because they are sleeping. But you know who is open? Thats right!
I went on a weight loss journey during "the time that shall not be named" so I have not been then in a few years. Decided to see how my old go to meal has gone up. in 2020 it was roughly 16$ now it is 37$!!!! Absolutely insane!
I had to give McDonald's up due to there ridiculous prices. Good riddance McDonald's
Fast food has been awful for years. Good riddance.
Anyone ever tried to heat up McDonald's it's freaking disgusting!
😂 that’s how you know is fake food. All the plastics and silicon starts to morphed right in front of our faces. Think what’s doing inside our bodies
They’re killing us. Reducing the surplus population.
Tried it once, the paper in the hamburger caught on fire. :).
Once it falls below a certain temperature, I think it reverts back to the plastic product it was derived from, never to be re-constituted again.
I'm sure they paid a lot of scientists to get it to do that.
It's on purpose.
McDonald’s needs to realize that you can’t raise prices anymore! You’re suppose to be focused on affordable fast food! I remember when Trump advertised the dollar menu decades ago for McDonald’s!
Funny thing is that now you can get a real burger and fries for about the price of a big mac meal.
@@grege8318 yeah, because the local restaurants aren’t over pricing their meals, they now have the advantage over McDonald’s for a similar meal.
You do realize that the price of living goes up so does prices. Wages go up, so do prices. Blame democrats. The price of buying the goods for the restaurant have gone way way up.
the 33 cent hamburger is gone folks.. ok? its now the 67 dollar hamburger.. think of it as an investment in your future..
Realize? What they’ve realized is that they own the land underneath the restaurant… It doesn’t matter if the restaurant goes belly up… They’re still landed gentry. One of the largest landowners in the world… They couldn’t give two sh!ts About the food
Getting rid of refills might get rid of all the homeless lol
Cancel the garbage.
any company that puts 19 ingredients in frys, along with aluminum and sugar in their SALT, needs to be stopped!
Those numbers are TOO LOW. More like everything is up 90% or more.
F McDonalds 👎💩
It cost me over $55 for 3 meals and one of them was a kid's meal (in RI, last week).
I took a party of four to Uno's (for dinner) and two adults were drinking alcohol and 1 was a kid eating off the children's meal. That bill was just over $100 with a 40% tip. Never going to McDonald's again.
40% tip?!
Madness.
@@gagamba9198 I dunno, I've tipped that much before... Used to frequent Denny's after midnight working nights, there was a cute young waitress working the like 11pm-7am shift I'd chat with because the place was basically empty, always tipped her usually 20-25% but one Friday night there was a couple well dressed young guys with girls in short dresses tottering on 5" heels - obviously after a local club - they left a mess and only tipped like $5 for 4 meals... So I probably tipped her 50% that night to help make up for it. (She's a single mom, and barely gets anything in tips on that shift).
@@captainz9 Seems like you should change your name to Captain-Save-A-Hoe.
"She's a single mum". Cry me a river.
Sears, Toys R Us, Blockbuster, McDonald's. I can see the future.
When trump was president dog food was $40 for 40 lbs, gas was under $1.10/gal, my weekly grocery bill was $60, and my mortgage on a 2400 sq/ft house on an acre was 1% of my salary. Under Biden the same dog food is $80 for 40 lbs, gas hit $4.95/gal, my weekly grocery bill is $160, and rent for an 850 sq ft house on .4 acres is pushing 20% of my salary. He needs to go
