Exactly. These companies have been making record profits for the past few years, even during the pandemic. There's no way a bump in wages is putting them out; especially since they didn't increase wages alongside whatever price increases they've had for many years before the current wage bump. They're way ahead of whatever wage increases they're finally taking on. The companies just want to continue to make the kind of record profits they have been making for the past few years and are using wage increases as an excuse for raising costs instead of the real issue; their greed.

Their solution will be to thin the patties even more, reduce workforce, and reduce fry portions. They dont ever want to disappoint shareholders

We use to eat out 2 times a week. Now it’s once every 2 weeks. With a family of 4, we just can’t afford to eat out anymore.

This is why people need to stop eating fast food so much and start making more healthy homecooked meals.

I lived in California, my wife and I used to go to fast food restaurant couple times a week just to give my wife an easy day of none cooking. Since the $20 per hours happened, the fast food price went up, we never go to fast food restaurant no more. My wife made french fries and all kind of sandwiches at home, we eat better now with homemade sandwiches and a lot of veggies.

It's garbage, the food isn't worth the price. I also know it isn't a necessary price raise when others offer higher quality food at a lower price. Can literally get a hand made authentic Japanese meal including sushi for less than $12 where I'm at (I mean during happy hour, but come on!)

As someone who has lived in Las Angeles my whole life, I can say for certain that people need to eat to live. Period. I wish we could finally raise the minimum wage enough that people would not be priced out by this disgusting greed. We need to raise minimum wage by at least $8 an hour here, and $15-$20 in pretty much every other state

I find it hard to believe that food prices have only risen 1.2% in the US within the last year. It has gone up at least 10% in Canada.
