That’s amazing! It’s good to hear you’ve been able to make a life here. I’m sure have a wealth of information for people moving from the west. We’d love to sit down and talk with you sometime.
@@TravelCheckIns you guys need to contact The Muhammads an African American couple living in Nairobi and helps Expatriats get settled in in very nice apartments. Their youtube channel is The Residential Tourist. I am very sure they will sort you out with the best place that will suit your comfort. Check them out and also that is where you will find their email so you can reach out to them privately. But if you already found a better place then good for you. If not, don't just trust anyone to sort you out. Just like the States not all people have your best interest in business. Don't get me wrong, my motherland Kenya I love but even Kenyans know you just can't trust anyone just because. Always good to vet them. The Muhammads especially cause they are black Americans I can promise will do you a lot of good cause they know local Kenyan business friends who they can trust and whom they have been working with almost 2 years in. So again, feel free to check them out.
You can definitely get a better house, keep searching indeed. You'll find the ideal home. Be open-minded and look for homes even around two rivers mall and such rather chilled areas.
@@TravelCheckIns For me Kilimani or Lavington area is the best for expatriates. Just saying. Reach out to the Muhammads an black American couple now living in Nairobi, Kenya, on their youtube channel "The Residential Tourists". They will help you out with the best places you can stay or live.
@TravelCheckIns instead of paying 2500dollar every month for furnished apartments, get unfurnished apartment for half the money and use the other half to furnish the house. Connect with other Americans and save lots of money. One month rent is enough to completely furnish your apartment
Most important is to look out for the terms of renting and sometimes the terms are not fixed so if you're not comfortable with any clause ask if it can be amended, for moving you can get a moving company and in Kenya moving companies do everything for you. You don't have to lift a finger...incase you might want to move

We stayed in this apartment before moving where we are now. We are still looking around at apartments and will share what we tour and or decide on if we decide to move. We’re not married to any apartment at this point.
I moved here from the States 5 years ago. I love it!

Unfortunately that is true.
