Originally i was looking for a trailer for my riding mower. After not being really happy with the price of anything out there i discovered this Gorilla Cart. I thought as a trailer it looked to be an ok size, and it would also work as a wheelbarrow.
As a trailer it's great. As a wheelbarrow it's even better.
It's light weight and plenty strong for the work i do. It is easy to pull and always stays balanced (unlike a 1 wheel wheelbarrow). I'm able to pull around dirt and bricks with no problem.
I highly recommend it if you are looking for a trailer or wheelbarrow.

Just ordered one of these, and yes, it comes with the cotter pins. I have an up-hill lot that my house sits right in the middle of. From the street, back, I have about a 20% incline grade (in some areas, it's more like 30% grade) It doesn't level out until the last 1/3 of my back yard. These days, using a wheelbarrow to move anything in quantity from the driveway to the back yard, is a struggle at best, and at worst, practically impossible for me and my wife; we are both in our 60's now.
I just upgraded my Cub Cadet zero-turn mower with a new, more robust, model (Ultima ZT2) and it came with a trailer hitch standard. I figured to put it to good use and first purchased a tow-behind leaf sweeper and then decided, while I'm at it, I might as well look for a tow-behind wagon. Cub offers several different wagon models to complement their mowers; however, they are extremely pricy and don't offer the versatility that the Gorilla Cart offers. The Cub tow-behinds range from $350 to $670, and none of them are on 4 wheels, or can be used as a stand-alone cart that you pull by hand. I came very close to purchasing one of the Cub models, but fortunately I discovered the Gorilla Cart before I made any purchase.
Now I have a much more versatile piece of equipment, and only spent $157.66 for it. Couldn't be happier. Thanks for the video. Be safe. Peace to you and your family.

I totally agree with your review. We bought a house next door to one we were renting. I used my mower as a tractor to pull my Gorilla Cart. I moved all of my potted plants and lots of boxes. I load it up with dirt, my gardening tools and plants and head out to plant. I fill the wagon with water to give my pots a good soaking. I've used it to haul groceries and other purchases from the truck to the house. I'm not as mobile as I once was, so my Gorilla with my Craftsman Mower have helped keep me active.

I just bought one if these and started putting it together today - two ratcheting combination wrench sizes (1/2 and 11/16) came in very handy so far. Look forward to using it with my lawn tractor! Thanks for the video!

I've had a Gorilla Cart for 3 years and it's one of the most useful contraptions I've ever owned. I use it to haul rocks, concrete blocks, dirt, fertilizer, grass seed and anything else that needs to be moved around the yard. When I pressure wash my house, I use the cart to carry the gas can, soap bottles, a scrub brush for stubborn spots, a tarp to cover bushes and a cooler of cold beverages. I do suggest that you replace the stock pneumatic tires with solid tires. The pneumatic tires leak air and the solid tires are a big improvement and well worth the money.

Yep, I got one too, and also have the 2-wheel cart you showed. Each has it's purpose. The gorilla cart I use while splitting firewood for kindling. I also use the gorilla for moving around my chainsaws, other tools. Just have to remember to keep it tilted when not in use, otherwise it's a perfect rain collector.

Mine is about 8 years old, and I heavily use it. It is the larger model, GOR2541D. I have overloaded it many times. Filled it full of wet mud, 34 stone, huge rocks, to rebuild a dam, wet mulch, cut lumber - most anything you can imagine. I had to re-weld a strut to the front axle, after overloading and trying to force a hard turn from within a depression. I’ve sanded and and sprayed the rusted areas of handle (I’m not really careful with what hits it). Patched tires several times. Even jacked it up fully loaded cart to repair a flat tire. Pretty hard use. Absolutely love it. Two years ago I added a 2-wheel Gorilla cart to my stable for light duty work, and immediately replaced its hard tires with pneumatic tires, and I now consider it a worthy addition to my stable.

One was just given to my wife and I. Really happy because it was super easy to assemble. Then realized when building it could dump! Wow.
Then when I realized that I could use it with my garden tractor with the converting handle! Too much lol.
    Very happy with this wagon.
Although identical, mine is labelled Yardworks. Cheers from Alberta

The larger sizes generally have larger diameter wheels with higher load capacity tires.
When assembled properly the plastic dump body should be waterproof and leak proof.

    Great review!!
I’ve had mine since 2017 and it works great! I made a few modifications; a magnetic hitch pin,( $17.99 Amazon )and I built some stake bed type sides that I saw on RUclips.
The magnetic hitch pin is well worth the price, you may have to slightly enlarge the towing pin hole with a 1/2” drill bit but then it only takes a few seconds every time you want to change anything. I leave the handle in the trailer towing position but I can still easily reach it. That way it’s always in the same position to insert magnetic hitch pin which I leave in the towing hole on my Cub Cadet mower.

At 3:25 when you pivot the handle from wagon to trailer you are supposed to insert the pin into the center hole on the handle to keep it swiveling (especially when backing up) and use another pin (owner supplied) to connect the now trailer to whatever is pulling it...
    Other than that, great review!

Good spacing between the arborvitaes. I always laugh when people plant trees that will grow to be 3-4 feet wide 2 feet apart. Now I'm wondering how close they are to the fence.

    • @DaveWirth
      @DaveWirth  4 года назад +3

Maybe 3 feet. But we want a wall of trees to block the road.
I'm going to give them lots of fertilizer this year to hopefully get them to grow. There's not a lot of nutrients in the sandy soil.

i flip houses and believe it or not - we have used a Gorilla cart for these projects for the last 7 years!! this cart will haul almost anything you put in it. we have used it to haul dirt, gravel, rocks, mulch, junk, tools, drywall pieces, garbage - even water! the efficiency advantage of this cart is that one person can pull this thing even when loaded to full capacity. i don't know exactly how much weight we've put in out cart but i know at times, the inflated tires are about halfway down and each holds around 20 psi of air. the other feature we have used a lot is the dump ability. we have done French drains and filled the cart with gravel, pulled it over to the trench and then just dumped the gravel into the trench. because of the large capacity of this cart, it only takes three or four cart loads to fill a complete trench some twenty feet long. i think i paid about $100 dollars for this cart years ago and really just bought it as an "impulse" purchase at a Home Depot store. i have to say that the money i spent on this little device has been paid back many times over just by the CONVENIENCE of what you can do with this cart. because of the size of this cart and its minor weight, we have carried this inside houses and pulled various things from room to room with it. it has been a helpful painting companion because you can load it with all the paint cans, brushes, and rollers you need and just pull it into each room you are painting. my Gorilla cart is a practical and helpful tool we use all the time in remolding houses.

I have a gorilla cart but while it's able to handle some tasks it wasn't useful to me in others. I use my rider locally to tow my lawn equipment so while the cart can tote some of my equipment it just doesn't have enough room or was made to carry bigger things like a push mower. I ended up buying a regular steel dump cart from Tractor Supply which can hold my push mower and other equipment around. Now if I'm doing landscaping or moving soil around I use the gorilla cart.

THAT TROLLY IS ABSOLUTELY CRAP? BE WARNED?
If you want to use it for transportation of soil, forget it. I made a huge mistake buying one and
it turned out to be one of the worst things I have thrown money at.
It does not, I repeat, it DOES NOT, empty it's load when tipping out soil. Especially if the soil is a little damp as soil is prone to be. You will be running back for a spade to be able to scrape out 3 buckets worth left inside. This is due to the back resting on the ground. So you try jurking the thing, yet that won't help. Also, the thing is extremely badly designed, (I'm a designer) the metal supports are flimsy, the steering arm rattles and I got rust showing on all the bolts used, these are supposed to be self locking, yet have had them rattle off a few times. There is also no was it could manage a load of 300 kg, you should remove the video. It's only going to be good for carrying leaf, if it had higher sides.
