    • @absoluteequipmentsales_tx
      @absoluteequipmentsales_tx Год назад

      On the 2023 models the run time on typical work sites is about 8 hrs. A lot depends on payload and grade. When it was stated the 2022 model ran 3+mi, that was with about 500lb on it - full throttle- non stop. NOT a typical work situation. The 2023 is upgraded from that with larger batteries and increased torque to reduce draw on batteries

    The cart part has wings on it(Normally you want this)... Do you have a version WITHOUT those wings so you could move a REFRIGERATOR, or large bed frame or anything else that is square?... Looks like the tires are in the way. And, is there a version made of aluminum as it appears it is near impossible to dump... Though to be fair, if you aren't HAULING the load around you have plenty of energy to lift. =-) But that is also why you have the powered dump! Hrmm sure would think most folks would want the baby ox with the powered dump option or is that the middle version which was not demonstrated. Anyways. For outdoor applications this looks great, though there are other options.
    How hard is it to swap that AGM? If I was doing tree work, I could EASILY drain that battery in a day hauling rounds as invariably some client wants a tree or two removed in the farthest back corner of their yard and you are not allowed to drive anywhere near it a couple hundred feet away. 3 miles on new battery sounds like a lot(it is), but use it for a little while and well, it is smart to NOT drain AGM and one must be able to go to emergency jobs too...

    • @absoluteequipmentsales_tx
      @absoluteequipmentsales_tx Год назад

      There is a flatbed option to be offered with 2023 Ox orders, by request. Also, the Ox (larger of 2 in vid) does dump by entire bed lifting. Battery should be good hauling out the rounds or logs. Empty on 1/2 trips has very little draw.

    They need a jump cable that the two batteries could be backups if the other dies.
    I liked the bucket having angled corners, not curved. Scraping concrete from rounded corners can be a pain.
    Curious about holding mixed concrete capacity for each model.
    I can see a plow blade attachment for the front, with or without the bucket. Pushing gravel, sand, snow, and dirt to smooth out what it just dumped. Not quite seeming a bucket loader tho.. But definitely a plow.
    Add a tow hook and a buggy chair. Or a rear foot rest and seat attached to the frame. Horn and headlights.. B-)
    And one caution to users is... When bucket is full, no high speed cornering. The center of gravity seems pretty high.
    BUT If I were in a business that this could work, IN A HEARTBEAT. (Like ALL the home improvement and gardening stores. Paving and road construction...)

I can't see this thing holding a candle to 4 guys with wheelbarrows for moving, well, anything. These guys have totally wasted their money and time inventing something that seems cool, but in reality is so impractical, and so expensive, that almost no one will buy one, and NO ONE will buy a second one after realizing what a PITA drag on production the first one is.

      I think everything has its place, otherwise it wont be for very long. I don’t want to be the early adopter on this one but I would hope that it would perform well. We are looking for something just like this if it works. My skid steer doubles as a wheelbarrow sometimes. It is rather expensive and requires its own trailer as well. If this thing works in sandy conditions, on a slope, and relatively reliable then it is worth something to some people. It isn’t a new idea. If I understood correctly then they said that under full load it had a one hour run time. Fwiw.

    Seem like cool machines, and a sound chassis for building on other things, like a mobile crane/post puller or adapting it for other machinery, like compressors or welders, which are too heavy/large to get to sites by hand, but allow access to places too small, or cramped, for full sized vehicle access, like walking trails.

    Property corners were always a shovel out from the wheelbarrow... With this - the automated dump into a corner has the grace of control !
    Being a powered wheelbarrow, it can eliminate the extra time (that = extra $ costs) using a backhoe for material drop of pavers by having the option to walk materials down to the site level !
    The reason anyone would like to see it able to spin completely around on a trailer is for maneuverability off the trailer, and sideways tie down for transport !
    (😁and for home composting, it's just one fill and dump to turn the pile, adding minerals and peet on the fill !! Can you imagine walking down the block to a neighbor's house with compost as a no-sweat job?)

    I replaced stairs and sidewalks for apartment complexes so densely landscaped that all the old and fresh concrete was wheelbarrowed in. These Oxes would have been perfect for that if they made them 30 years ago.

    This is a pretty great design. I might have to buy one of these.

    Very neat, much better than pushing a cart or wheelbarrow

    I'd like to see better tires maybe a 10 or 12 in wide tire option. You load that up and you'll be sinking in soft grass or sand.

      Considering options but will require a redesign if keeping the 34” unit and tire OD width, for getting through 36” gates and doors

    They need to make it so the battery is easily swappable like a battery in a flashlight.

    An observation, consider adding a removable standing platform. Edit: ox looks like a useful piece of equipment.

    great job Stan... very impressive and versatile piece of hardware there, I see a lot of different applications not just the Lawn n Landscape business utilizing the OX

    Way better than any other power assisted wheelbarrow out there. This would have saved me from wrecking my body all these years.
    Thanks for sharing Dirt Monkey.

    #1 where was this when doing that big job #2 in my opinion the hand control should be redone to have it where you can slowly start and jerk start for safely

      The speed control is variable where it can crawl very slow and ramp up variable speed as needed

    I wish these gentleman the best of luck. I can see this being very useful for a variety of trades. Two improvements I can see that can be made. One. A piece of metal between where the tub comes down to meet the frame to prevent accidental pinching or hands getting in the way. Two. Backing up should be slower or have a speed control. JMO.

    I’ve seen powered wheel barrows over 30 years ago in Australia, some were 4x4, but this is unique in that it’s adaptable.
