    Can you change the distance for how far away from the nock you want the vanes to start?

    Nice but did not see any way to change the distance from the nock to the vanes or feathers.

    So you can't do an AAE Max Stealth vanes with the 3 degree left and right because they made it too small of a slot. Very clever Bohning.

    Too bad there's too many plastic parts ... we all know what happens with that ...... but looks nice...

      They should withstand soaking in acetone. The actual jig is solid, and probably you could order a new guide piece.. But if you dont hammer on them they should hold..

    How much?

    I really like this concept but what about if you want helical? Also, plastic parts are going to wear out a whole lot quicker than metal. I just wish Bohning would have given more options for a kit when it comes to helical vanes.

    • @JeremyKonzJames

      @Boxing 101 These are offset and not helical. Read farther down in the comments and Lancaster actually confirms this. And you can see in the video there is no curve to the jig. They're all straight

      @@JeremyKonzJames We have verified that the 1-degree right and left clamps are offset. The feather clamps and the 3-degree vane clamps are helical.

    Does it work with AAE Wav 2.0? (I ask as they are much thinner than most vanes).

    • @Helikopterpop
      @Helikopterpop 3 года назад

      If they are to loose, just shim them with electrical tape or something.

      @@Helikopterpop Thanks but I'd rather have a good to go solution. Leaning towards the Bearpaw fletcher

      @@henrik_worst_of_sinners jag gissar att du är svenne som jag?! Jag tycker att boening ser smidiga ut. Sen gissar jag att det är offset och inte helical. Men hur eller hur smidiga. Jag beställde en nyss från tyskland samtidigt som mathews v3 31 och ett dussin easton x10 protour. Så gissa om jag vill få hem mina prylar snabbt :)

    Looks simple how long Of vans can you do

    • @LancasterArcherySupply
      @LancasterArcherySupply  4 года назад

      With some of the clamps you can do a max of 3 inches, and with others it's a max of 5 inches.

    Hey PJ. I was watching your video on how to string a recurve and i happened to get the Sage Sammick as a coincidence, and you were stringing your bow but the string i got with my kit isnt one uniform string, its got its two normal loops, a point where its all one, and it goes off to 12 individual string all the way to the next end of the loop where ots the same as the other end. I noticed you were twisting in that video for proper brace height. Does this mean my string just needs to be retwisted before i string it, or was i sent a a defective string?

      I can't totally picture what you are describing here, but it kind of sounds like you are describing a flemish string. Give our customer service guys a call at 855-922-7769 and we can walk you through your questions.

    Is offset the same as helical?

    • @GOOD_PRACTICE
      @GOOD_PRACTICE 4 года назад

      Jason Dalton, no they are not the same. But I just checked the Bohning website, and it looks like they are helical.

    • @LancasterArcherySupply
      @LancasterArcherySupply  4 года назад +1

      @@GOOD_PRACTICE Their website says helical, but it's actually just an offset. There is no curve in the clamps.

    • @LancasterArcherySupply
      @LancasterArcherySupply  4 года назад +2

      @@GOOD_PRACTICE Correction on our part. The feather clamps and the 3-degree vane clamps do provide helical fletching. The 1-degree clamps are simple offsets.

    Plastic = junk, multi ? single I would say, not like a Jo Jan multi unit where you can do 6 at a time - misleading.

    Looks like a disaster with all the little tiny plastic parts, not a very intuitive or easy Fletcher to use!
