    I like my Bitzenburger jig. Had it since I was a teen back in 1988. I just got the AAE Bitz knob and it allows me to align the nock how I like as there is an allen screw that allows me to adjust the rotation of the nock so I can spine align my shaft. I consider it a good investment.

    Thanks for this vid! I just did this with my Bitz and i used double sided tape on the backend of my arrow. No waiting on glue to dry and no ruined fletchings. :)

    This is so helpful. I also ordered the cali-bitz too. Excited to have every arrow running the same as the next. Thanks

    Bitzenberger has a nock receiver to align fletch up or down .

    Thanks for sharing a video on this subject. I don’t have that jig, but I had enough points on GoHunt and got an Easton jig one of the orange 🍊 ones that I believe only does 3 vanes and is for small diameter arrows. I have yet to order arrows and other components but want to soon. October will be coming quicker than we think. I am now running a Hamskea Primer after using a whisker biscuit since I got it in 2006. I like it so far. I was going to try 4 fletch but currently don’t have the jig for it.
    I am glad that those Blazers work well with the Magnus Stingers that you like. I was having consistency issues with that combo last year and switched to G5 Montec CS 100s and tried lining up the blades with my fletchings.

    Not following. Any chance you can do this vid and show the process? Just pointing to a fletched arrow is tough to follow. Is it possible that different bitzenburgers are indexed differently? With the flat/index part of the knob up, mine is nowhere near where yours is. (I think.) Is the knock twisting supposed to line up the first fletching cock vane up, or does that twist result in the cock vane being fletched third?

    Two things.. 1,does a wisker biscuit influence helical arrow rotation? 2, could you please do a tutorial on footing and stance affect on accuracy.. Love your content, I learn alot from your videos.. Thanks

      1. In my opinion, yes. But I have no "data" to fully support. Check out 1nestly on RUclips and his slo-motion videos on the topic. 2. ruclips.net/video/UJxpNS9Zt2Y/видео.html Ask you and you shall receive!

    Thanks for the content informative as always. I see that's a Victory arrow. I have some VAPs with the spine marked on the crest. Do you still recommend nock tuning with spine aligned arrows?

    • @averagejackarchery
      @averagejackarchery  3 года назад +1

      Yup! I've found the Victory alignment to not be 100%. But it's still a great starting point.

    I have a question about helical fletching. I'm using the Bitzenburger jig with the helical clamp. It looks to me that in order to get the fletchings to make good contact with the shaft I need to take out any offset (I have been using offset but tried helical and have had improved groups). I'm using AAE Hybrid 26 vanes in a 4 fletch/90 degree setup after nock tuning the shafts. Shafts are Easton Axis 5mm.

    Okay. I’m confused. In another one of your videos you talk about marking the index point of the nock on the arrow after nock tuning. Where I get confused is that once inserted into the jig you rotated the shaft so that the sharpie mark lines up with your jig mark. This changes nock position away from your nocked tuned position, correct? Is this just to get the cock vane to be vertical and then adjusted afterwards? The reason that I ask is that in this video your nock groove lines up perfectly with the sharpie mark. So I’m kind of lost in this process. On the surface it appears as if the nock tuning went out the window in the fletching process.

    • @averagejackarchery
      @averagejackarchery  2 года назад

      No, this was exactly meant to calibrate the jig to shoot cock vane UP instead of out. I did all the fang-dangling there to get the cock vane lined up when I rotate my nock back over after fletching. Keeps the nock tune aligned then, and cock vane up. In truth now, I don't fuss with this. I just line up cock vane out like the Bitz is intended and I shoot cock vane out. Most dropaways especially will still allow this to happen.

    Once you twisted the arrow to line up your sharpie line with your bitz marker... didn’t you just undo the nock tune?

    • @averagejackarchery
      @averagejackarchery  3 года назад

      Nope. I actually kept it. Once I retwist the knock to where it's supposed to be, it'll be perfectly cock vane UP.

    Feathers work better for clearance issues. At least it does for me Feathers to hunt vanes for target and 3D.

  • @garrettrowe7917

    So if you’re going to four fletch, if you have knock tuned, you don’t have to spin the knock before you fletch?

    • @averagejackarchery
      @averagejackarchery  3 года назад +1

      That's an excellent question. I don't 4 fletch, never have, so I don't know how the Bitz indexes 4 fletch exactly.

      Shoot the same arrow but add a 4 Fletch! Don't ha e to change arrows out to get a different Fletch style.

    Super confusing to me.

    • @averagejackarchery
      @averagejackarchery  3 года назад

      I know! I tried to explain best I could. Nutshell, if you have to fletch cock vane up, you need to offset the nock tune mark on the shaft in order for the Bitzenberger to fletch it UP for you. Otherwise, it'll fletch it cock vane out like I said. Which isn't proper clearance for a lot of high profile vanes and today's rests.
