When I make hash browns, I use the peeler not the grater. It goes faster, and then you do a quick rough chop. I like the way it cooks, with lots of crunch, but still soft enough to be chewy. And it holds together well for flipping.
Sam and gang, I doubt you will see this but I feel inclined to tell you, I have made several of your recipes or otherwise used them for inspiration for my own dishes. They always turn out great. But, I have to tell you, this is the one recipe I keep coming back to. It is delicious and I make it just as you suggest. BRAVO.
Do grilled brisket tacos (the best) 1.) Slice raw brisket thin 2.) Season with season all or lawrys 3.) Grill on high heat (watch for flare up's because of high fat content) 4.) Using a clever chop meat (because of toughness) 5.) Serve on grilled corn tortilla (chopped onion, cilantro, lime, and salsa opcional) Creamy green salsa (most people think it has avocado but its a lie) 1.) Grill 5 jalapenos 2 serranos 2 cloves of garlic and a 1/4 onion 2.) Once charred blend everything together 3.) Crucial step slowly drizzle canola oil while blending to emulsify (if oil seperates stop and remove excess oil and reblend) 4.) Add salt to taste (even though it has a lot of peppers it is not a very spicy salsa. Really creamy in texture)
Add avacado and you got yourself a full balanced meal of meat, grains, fruit, veggies and dairy haha Looks so good! Thanks for the recipe! I'm doing to make these this weekend for brunch.
A couple things: cook hash browns separately from vegetables and the egg mixture to retain the crunchiness; reduce bacon fat; add cheese to marry all ingredients; and for the love of tacos, heat the tortilla.
Breakfast tacos are my go to breakfast! I’ve never really been a sweets for breakfast kinda guy, and once I figured out that I could simply shrink down a breakfast burrito into some taco sized tortillas, my breakfast game changed forever!
In Texas the breakfast taco is THE go to breakfast food, beside the kolochi, and every gas station even the big chains, carry their version of the breakfast taco. The best breakfast tacos are found in the little taco stands and truck all over. There are drive-thru mom and pop type places that are only open during breakfast hours. I'm in Florida now and miss having access to so many different breakfast tacos that you can find in Texas. My personal favorite is the carne asada, potato and egg. Yummm

Years ago... and I mean years ago (like 30), Wendy's used to make a breakfast sandwich. It had ham and egg and cheese and your choice of sausage or bacon on a Texas style Toast for bread. I would put the Wendy's hot sauce on it and it was delicious. I would love to see you do your version of that. I miss that sandwich.
i love it! but personally i would like the eggs cooked separately... when ive done this in the past .. it takes away from the crispiness of the hashbrowns... kinda gets mushy.. i like them together but separate .. just my opinion
It was the last hotel stay during a long road trip and I stopped in Texas...for breakfast the had all the stuff for breakfast tacos (and chocolate milk) and it just turned out to be one of the most memorable meals I have had.

A great, simple & delicious recipe that just begs to be played with. Thanks. When it comes to the store bought green onions, don't throw out the root ends. As long as there are root hairs on them just trim to about 3/4" to 1" & plant in your garden or flower pot about a 1/2" deep & before you know it you'll have a never ending supply of onions. It's quite satisfying to see just how tall & fat they grow. Enjoy!

I watched your video a year or so ago where u made rolled tacos...and now i make a breakfast version with scrambked eggs, bacon, cheese and homemade cubed hashbrowns. Roll em up ina low carv tortilla and sautee em in avocado oil...they are SO good and one of my fav breakfasts. Ive made them like a quesadikka too but something about the rolled taco all crispy is just so dam good

I still got a salad shooter lol. That's what I use when grating up potatoes. I'm not 100 percent but did you mean chilorio because chilorio is the breakfast and eggs taco recipes i've seen or are you changing it up and using chirizo? The stuff you were cooking actually looked more like chirlorioo also. Chirizo is a smoked sausage that's been fermented where chilorio is a slow cooked but with spices also fermented bit different seasonings.

I make chorizo and egg burritos (with cheese, of course), and to combat the chorizo _splatter,_ I start the chorizo, let it cook a little, then add the eggs and finish cooking together (add cheese at the end). Not sure if this taco recipe could be modded for that though.

Welcome to west Texas. We have at least 5 morning breakfast taco places. 90% of the community starts their day with tacos like yours, however you added your sauce we use hot sauce. Thanks for another great show.
The burrito is more contained and just a more convenient choice when you're in a hurry on a work day. Burritos will always rule over tacos in the morning.

I make chorizo and egg burritos (with cheese, of course), and to combat the chorizo _splatter,_ I start the chorizo, let it cook a little, then add the eggs and finish cooking together (add cheese at the end). Not sure if this taco recipe could be modded for that though.

Welcome to west Texas. We have at least 5 morning breakfast taco places. 90% of the community starts their day with tacos like yours, however you added your sauce we use hot sauce. Thanks for another great show.
