We just got done visiting Charleston, hit rainbow row, Aquarium, Boone Hall, Fort Sumter, Folly beach (Rita’s for lunch) and Morris Island Lighthouse. All very cool and beautiful! Nice video…
Ah our home city. You guys saw a little bit of everything. So much to see and you found a great place to stay right on the battery. We moved here 12 years ago and definitely feel spoiled. We bring our doodle Ellie to Shem creek for sunset walks all the time. Its awesome and we really like Tavern and Table. Folly reminds me of where i grew up on Long Island with all the bungalow summer houses. We went to parlor donuts when we went to Myrtle. Pretty good donuts. 🍩 the darling is one of my favorite oyster bars. cheers guys!
Glad u enjoyed the city of Charleston!! 5 church is a very good place to eat. All the restaurants on Shem Creek are really good! If u ever come back through, would really like to meet u guys!! Safe travels!!
Charleston is where I went to school, such a great city. We would park where you guys stayed the night because it was some of the only nonregulated parking in the city haha
Can’t believe this video only has 505 views! Love your videos! Keep up the amazing work! You both have your own style and I love it. It’s Refreshing, don’t stop being real! ❤️
That looked like some nice beach - the tree was pretty amazing too. More amazing? The doughnut that kept it's shape -- now if only they could make doughnuts that I could eat and still keep MY SHAPE!! Then I would really be impressed. Thanks for sharing, and good on you for getting some exercise with the bikes. Call it fitness tourism!
I have read there is an RV parking garage near downtown. Not sure if it is still there. Also read there is an overnight parking lot in the midst of the historic district so one is close to the sights
Your doughnut review was spot on. Charleston is a city full of great restaurants especially if you like seafood. Glad you enjoyed your stay in the Holy City. Always a thumbs up 👍
Taylor, did you say 'Apple Pie Latte'? Wow, I have never heard of such a flavor in coffee. Kevin how do you manage to eat so many donuts and still stay slim? That is a credit to you man. Great video and vey historic.
thank you!!!! We didn't sub out anything other than upholstery, check out our van build series for each part. cost of our build episode coming soon!!!!
@@MathersOnTheMap Thank you for answering part of the question. I plan on watching the build series. But would like the total cost for the build so we can make an informed decision now. We like your build and the products you chose.
I just look in satellite mode for spots overlooking water that are west facing! Sun sets in the west and if there's water you're likely to get a good one!
Hi guys started watching your Iceland series that's when I subscribed. I had to watch this cuz I lived in Charleston a couple years. My ex and I also toured Boone Hill Plantation. And coming originally from the west Co. Didn't know much about those horrible times because quite frankly Colorado was not even a state back then. Did you take the GUIDED TOUR? My ex-husband had to keep ducking down to go through the doorways inside the mansion. The tour guide explained why the thresholds were so short. Only about 5 ft 7. She explained before there was slavery men only grew the absolute tallest was about 5'6"... so American men and women for that matter did not start getting tall. Until unfortunate slavery and the horrible things that you can imagine going along with that including rape and children of mixed races. It was only then that men started growing to 6 ft and over. So white people that are prejudice Better Think Twice because almost all Americans have dark skin running through their veins from Generations back! True story just saying
Hey Sue, welcome to the channel! We didn’t take the guided tour but it was definitely eye opening and unfortunate what happened back then. Hope you enjoy our videos!!!
@@MathersOnTheMap I definitely am the Iceland Vlogs are excellent so far. Absolutely gorgeous. Safe and happy travels😘 PS we got married in Charleston at White Point Garden at that Park with the gazebo. And the marketplace that you were in we stayed across the street I can't think of the name it's in most travel magazine's at that time that was before Google LOL But that Marketplace used to be where slaves were sold.. sad horrible times for sure

Britts Donuts in Carolina Beach, NC are the best I’ve ever had. And....Voodoo Donuts in Portland Oregon for the maple bacon donut....
Britt’s was closed when we were there ...bummer!

a bird! (Not sure the name)
@@MathersOnTheMap haha, that did not look like a bird to me. Thanks.
How do you find good sunset spots using google maps? 🤔
