Safer Schools: Students, Educators, & Mental Health One Year After Uvalde | SXSW EDU 2023

- On May 24, 2022, 19 schoolchildren and two educators were killed at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, in the second deadliest such shooting in U.S. history. The tragedy raised questions not only about gun safety and policing, but also about mental health, social media, loneliness, and the erosion of student well-being that began even before COVID-19. In partnership with The Texas Tribune, Sewell Chan, editor in chief, will moderate a panel with health and education experts and with the parent of a child whose life was taken in Uvalde.

I wonder do Kimberly Rubio ever ask her husband why and what really happened since he was one of the responding officers, although he came waaaay later then the first responders. Felix maybe can give the public the inside sight of what really went wrong. (I am not blaming Felix at all but he was there in that hallway) although we have the footage we don’t know the conversation that wasn’t captured by audio and camera.
This is disappointing. Truly, I can’t believe someone would actually have those mental thought of hurting someone else, especially young innocent children. My heart goes out to all the victims and their families, this is heart breaking and I’m so sorry. Love you Kimberly keep pushing even if it gets harder, just know Lexi will always love you and she never stopped, not for one moment.
