He's always great and super creative and I wish to see more of his ideas in Smosh or outside!!

I have never related more to Olivia. The shock and disbelief on Shayne and Amanda's face when she said she lied throughout that dinner says SO MUCH...I feel like they weren't understanding how very traditional and stern parental figures can make you question and feel bad about every aspect of your life if they don't accept what's happening in your life. And they will say every hurtful and mean thing to YOUR FACE and not care about the situation or environment, nor hear your point of view. That need of control is so, so real. UGH OLIVIA you are the best. - Written by a child of a communist-born terrifying mother lol

Oof, as a person with a v complicated relationship with my father, this is everything. Even just in real time the back and forth of “he’s very serious” to “he’s so charismatic” to “he yells at people all the time” and i could feel her anger so viscerally about the irony of holding her marriage prospects on some pedestal that he couldn’t do for his own. Gah! Was not expecting this one today, but has been so therapeutic for me this morning. Thank you Olivia for your vulnerability!! I can’t wait until this comes out!!

Why does Shayne think he hasn't got any real life examples to draw from.
He's was a child actor at one of the biggest companies on earth, gets thrust into LA once it ends, joins the Internet entertainment scene which has its pitfalls, ups and downs, and doubts - and then comes through the other side of Defy and the new era of Smosh with a great creative and accepting mindset, whilst also meeting his wife during that time.

I wish Smosh would make another channel that puts out short films. Listening to Olivia jokingly suggesting that Smosh could put out her film makes sense somehow. Smosh has a lot of aspiring actors and directors as employees. I hope aside from the sketches they could venture out into short films like Wong Fu production but instead its Smosh Films. It could give the cast to show off their acting, directing, and writing abilities. I know they already have too much on their plates, but I hope Ian and Anthony should let Courtney lead that channel. They could rebrand the Smosh Alliance channel into that.. they have too many wasted channel that they could still profit on. Last but not least, I just want the cast to have a chance to lay out their talent to get them scouted from casting directors.

this has truly been a top episode for me now - the way they let Olivia go on here to talk about a project outside of smosh is amazing to see, just the way they were so willingly there to listen and make everyone of us listen to her while both Shayne and Amanda think about their own endeavours was just really sweet :) Very excited so see updates for this !!

I’ve already been huge Olivia fan, but seeing her be this real and vulnerable was even cooler. Love that Smosh gives the cast a platform to talk about their passions like this.

Crazy to realize the reason Olivia hasn't been around so much is because she was literally making a movie!!
But I absolutely love that with Smosh they can go off and do their own things, like Damien with all of his voice acting, but they can always come home.

Shayne and Courtney's story would make a good RomCom, starting with the "See you at work," including the breakfast where Courtney invited Shayne just to tell him they're friends, and keeping the marriage a secret and announcing it on April Fool's Day. It's got all the check marks.

Olivia is so cool. Just being so vulnerable to show a flawed familial relationship like that through art is always something I respect deeply. It shows you're strong enough to reflect on yourself and your journey. as someone who struggles with over analyzing my actions or hiding my head in the sand I feel her actions are really brave and mature

Weird as it soumds. Love seeing olivia not be this flanderized veraion of herself that she's become on Smosh. For better or for worse she commits so hard. To every bit or joke and never drops it even if the bit isn't good. And ive always respected that about her.

Totally get that. Always just “Olivia is so wacky, Olivia is so crazy, Olivia is so random.” And it’s true, she is those things. Her humor does go there. But she’s also more than that. Seen her in other interviews/projects where you can see she’s quite artistic and thoughtful and it’s cool seeing that too.

They kinda did a little bit of it (lipstick) in one of the old "Courtney and their boys" videos where they tried long nails. Damien was very good at it, if I remember... makes sense since he was a proper theatree kid

With all this talent... I really want to see the smosh cast make a serious proper short film (sprinkled with a few jokes here and there). Come on. Who's with me?

  • @jennifervaughn2466

Shayne shortchanges himself and doesn't realize how talented he really is! He's had so many ideas come to life on Smosh so far. And his love story with Courtney is not boring! Maybe he can make something based on their story somehow. It wouldn't have to be exactly as it happened, but something based on their true story ❤
