Hello everyone! So I hope you enjoyed this short video about the Bug Branch! I have a little annoucement, i'm taking a short break from making videos, since i'm going on vacation tommorow. I will be gone for approximately a week maybe a little more, so there will a be a longer period without new videos! Btw tysm for 84 subscribers :000
Potent rebellions got discontinued actually so I'm not going to make a video about it. But I'll definetely do a video about dynamic political events, I'll add it to my list of ideas, thanks!
It's still on 3.3 the author is working on the update. I checked the Modding Den server, and it seems that he's planning to add some new features so I won't do a video on it until it's updated
I wish there was a mod that only added the gestalt stuff and the anthropocentric/environmentalist split without splittong authoritarian/egalitarian in a thousand subtypes... hell I think it's time mainline stellaris adds the envir/anthro split themselves! It's such an obvious thing to add
@michael_stellaris the one where you are introducing some various mods is even better :) I will subscribe some of them today. l'm spending way too much time on steam workshop anyway so it's nice to have some options such greatly described. Thank you
Knowing this There's somebody out there Already roleplayed as Vegan teacher and exterminated the universe by becoming an eco-friendly exterminators 💀💀💀
Thank you so much :D I actually use the irony mod manager, I merged my modpack from Stellaris Modded Roleplay 2 to continue playing in 3.3, it allows me to play with 3.3 and 3.4 at the same time lol. I know that it's also used for solving conflicts, and making compatibility patches but I've never done that before. But i'm gonna add a video abt irony mod manager to my list of ideas why not
Oh that would be a difficult video to make, atleast when it comes to research since it's a total overhaul mod. But i'll add it to my list anyways, thanks for the idea!
I'm not the author of the mod so I can't really answer that question. I get your point, egalitarianism is by definition the opposite of elitarism. But I think they chose pluralism instead cuz there is already an egalitarian ethic in the game, idk i'm just guessing maybe there is a different reason.
True, I think this is the exact reason why the Ethics and Civics classic fused egalitarianism and libertarianism together as well as elitism and authoritarianism.
I feel like dividing liberty-authority axis from plurality-elitism axis is unnecessary. After all you can't really have for example a free society under a rule of nobility.
According to the creators of this mod the auth-lib axis is about political freedom, and pluralist-elitism is about social mobility. By using this definition if you have Libertarian + Elitist, your empire could be a democracy but only certain classes get to vote (irl that would be noble democracy I think, idk how would you translate that to stellaris). I can't think of an example for Auth + Pluralist, idk maybe this could be an authoritarian state but with all social classes being equal? That sounds a bit contradictory to me tho. Idk ethics can be interpreted in many ways, this is Stellaris after all. I think it's nice to have this axis around, the more customization options the better I guess.
@@michael_stellaris the noble "democracy" you describe sounds more like a oligarchy than a democracy. Besides that most of the "niche" systems which don't match the stellaris default egalitarian-authoritarian axis (like Stalinism or Libertarian Capitalism) can be made with the use of economic and government axis. That's why i think that question of social mobility should be left to civics as they can have restrictions and requirements necessary to use them (vanilla stellaris already has civics that represent those ideas with pluralism being represented by meritocracy civic and elitism with Aristocratic Elite civic). Of course customization is good but i don't think it should allow for systems that are complitely contradictionary.

I play with this mod a lot in fact I have a sub mod installed that increases ethics points to 7 allowing further customization.
What's the name of that mod if you don't mind me asking?
You should do a video of the dynamic political events mod and potent rebellions mod too
Potent rebellions got discontinued actually so I'm not going to make a video about it. But I'll definetely do a video about dynamic political events, I'll add it to my list of ideas, thanks!
@@michael_stellaris Okay, but what about the Civil Wars Mod? (Not the one that says edition)
It's still on 3.3 the author is working on the update. I checked the Modding Den server, and it seems that he's planning to add some new features so I won't do a video on it until it's updated
@@michael_stellaris Okay, can I have the link to the server?

Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed the video :D

Not the Vegan Teacher 💀
any mod that expands on gestalt is an automatic download from me.
Subbed and commented to help your dream !
Are you experienced enough in modding to explain irony mod manager.?

Should take a look at Stellaris Evolved Alpha

Why pluralism? Egalitarianism will be even better as opponent of elitarism.

iirc it's because in earlier versions of the game that ethics existed and was in place of egalitarianism

Completely unrelated to the video but what country are you from? I like your accent!
Omg thanks :0 I'm polish actually
is this mod add new government types?
Yes it does, you get new variants of megacorp, and democratic authorities
Would you say it is balanced?
Yeah, it's just an ethic & civics mod, there's nothing "unbalanced" about it
