    Hey! We're finishing off 2022 with a video about Zenith of Fallen Empires! I hope you guys enjoy the video, I included some background music and some sound effects here and there, what do y'all think about the overall result :D?
    I forgot to put submod requirements during editing so i'll write them down here:
    - ZOFE: Engineering Perfection requires ZOFE: Automated Industries in addition to the base mod
    - ZOFE: Return of the Custodians requires Automated Industries, Engineering Perfection, Secrets of the Fallen Empires, and Origins submods

      Unfortuanly, it's seem some zenith sub mode reduce fleet power, like my attack moon were 50k strenght instead of 250k power.

      Thank you! Well now I have 829 or smth like that, the clip of my channel was recorded during editing (obviously), in fact if you watch my mod showcase videos in chronological order you can see how the channek grew over time :D

    Im using this for a rp series on my other channel that involves the 'Ancient Custodians' but haven't done it yet. Zenith of Fallen Empires is a great way for a storyline for a galaxy.

      Thank you! I haven't decided on which mod i'm gonna cover next, but ACOT is definetely my priority. Chiru finally finished his Phanon update, and the mod is finally on 3.6 so I may choose it idk.
      Giga's would be indeed a lot of work since it also adds 4 crises. Besides, gigas is currently the most popular mod out there, and i'd rather focus on mods that aren't that well known, or at least not talked abt on youtube. So i'll probably do a video on it, but not in the near future.

    This mod really solves the late game lack of pops for your planets without resorting to invading xenos by having automated industries. I like playing aim city stellaris style.

      You're welcome! Yeah there's a lot of them, and recently they made the Return of The Custodians, and the Megacorps submod, and who knows what the devs will make in the future!

      I used Real Galaxy, and Real Galaxy HD mods (you need both of these, the second one only adjusts the map to be less blurry). Also if you're curious, the custom star system bg's come from Real Space: Color out Of Deep, they change depending on the system's location on the galaxy map :D!

    zofe used to be my main stellaris mod, until it started changing my country type and cause all sorts of compatibility problems. still is pretty good mod as long as it's the only event mod installed

    The Original Empire is still a way to easy even with the increased difficulty sub mods of 25x crisis strength if u compare them to the Blokkats or the Stellarborne now that's OMEGA level crisis.

      Well I wish I could, but I don't have the time to make more videos per month, and there's a lot that goes into making these. Doing research, writing a script, gathering footage and then editing is very time consuming, and exhausting at times, especially because I do all of the above myself. If I had a similar amount of time like during summer, the entire process could be faster. I don't think I need an entire month for a video, but unfortunately at this instant I can't commit fully to creating on youtube, I have other things to do.
      I used to upload videos more often, but now I put a lot more effort into them than I used to, and I don't want my videos to be rushed, or half-done.
      I get what you mean, more content = more views, watchtime ours, etc. but interestingly enough my statistics are a lot higher than they used to be when I would upload one video per week, and they keep on getting higher with each video, so I think 1k is very well within my reach.

      It's Real Space: Color out Of Deep! It makes the background look like you're actually in space (no hate to vanilla backgrounds but they're really basic looking lol) , and they change based on your position in the galaxy (or if you're in a nebula, which is pretty cool!) I also use Real Galaxy with the HD submod to change the appearence of the galaxy map, with this mod the galaxy looks sort of like the Milky Way :D!

    Hello, could someone explain me please, how to get the new technologies from the mod ? In my game i only get dark matter shield and other basic things, but at 8:40 he show us new technologies that i don't have in my game . Could someone help me please ?

      If I remember correctly, the lost technologies event appears once you have automated industries, or engineering perfection. You can also get lost techs from conquering fe planets and excavating archeological sites that appear on their homeworlds.
      I haven't played ZOFE in a while, and this video is a bit outdated since zofe got an update in april, so i'm not certain.

    Someone finally noticed this wonderful mod! Tho despite having several playthroughs with it, I've never seen the "custodians" endgame crisis. Is there a way to trigger it?

      Well the Return of the Custodians submod is relatively new, and it is required to get the custodians crisis. They appear after an endgame crisis is about to spawn. I tested this with the prethoryn scourge, after the coming storm event (i think that's how it was called) the Custodians appeared. You may also trigger it with the "event" console command, but you'll have to find the right event id in the mod files,

    Couple of words of advice: If you plan on using origins or return of the custodians you must have all the other sub mods (besides difficulty) installed. Otherwise you won’t have access to the original empire buildings. You can still get the weaponry but the buildings require the other sub mods. once you have the option/resources to, you will need to populate and manage atleast 5-10 tech words/paradise worlds because the amount of tech you need to get these projects done quickly is around 14-30k (5k-10k for all types). The original empire ship components are the highest tier components in this mod. 4 fallen titans, 12 battle cruisers, and 40 something escorts with max components cost over 1 million alloys to reinforce. Good luck to anyone trying to create max level armadas without cheats😂💀

      If you happen to have at least 30 starbases or more you can build 1 resource silo on each and probably get about 500k stockpile capacity on everything so also alloys. Then make a utopian ring world with industrial districts cuz they produce the most alloys without needing any pops to do so and if you have researched the highest level forge building the districts will produce 500 alloys or 1k if you count the star forge. Ofc it will be very expensive to do at first since you need a lot of living metal to make an utopian ring world and influence to but well worth it. You can reach an insane monthly alloy production with them.

    I absolutely love this mod! I honestly can’t see myself playing Stellaris without it. I am curious however; do you think these mods would be compatible with Ethics and Civics Bug Branch?

      The mods itself should be compatible, I played with both on this channel and nothing happened. Although keep in mind that if you don't pick any vanilla ethics, you won't be able to get ethic related buildings, and some city set/ship set colors simply because they're not made for bug branch ethics. It's not really a compatibility issue imo, this happens with every mod that adds features only meant for vanilla ethics, and not modded ones, so there's nothing you can do.

      Yes, FE ships are unlocked after researching a technology. You need to unlock Escorts first, then Battlecruisers, and lastly Fallen Titans. The Escort tech appears after you finish the special project, maybe you're just unlucky idk

      Of course, actually I was supposed to make one a year ago, but then I had to delay it because ACOT had been outdated for a long period of time. I was in fact planning to cover ACOT after the ZOFE video, but then the Modjam was announced and I thought it would be a good opportunity for me to release a video abt it. Don't worry though, ACOT is definetely one of my priorities, and after the modjam video releases i'll start working on the ACOT video :D

    Genuine question, how do you defeat the custodians?

      I think you definetely need FE ships with lost technologies, anything that deals a lot of damage. From what I remember, when they declare a war on the galaxy, they also target fallen empires, so you should keep them around to weaken the OE. Another thing that you could do is to take down each fleet separately, and reverse engineer their tech from debris to get even better weapons. Also they only spawn after the crisis appears, so you should have enough time to prepare, and besides they don't attack right away.

      Yeah, now they're all merged into one mod, and you can enable or disable different parts of zofe in a customization menu

    Whats the difference between this and ACOT?

      ZOFE focuses more on FE ascension, storytelling, things like that. ACOT on the other hand focuses on tech progression, it adds 5 new tech tiers, the first ones are related to fallen empires, but the advanced ones like Stellarite or Phanon are completely unique concepts.

      They've been merged into the mod, and you can disable or enable their content in a mod menu at the start of the game from what I've heard

    so,how well deos that scale with acot and darkspace ?

      If by that you mean how op are the things each mod adds then the ranking would look like this
      ACOT > ZOFE, Darkspace
      ZOFE focuses more on roleplaying, fallen empire lore, etc. The only things from this mod that are comparable to ACOT's strongest tier are the original empire components, however they can only be reverse engineered from the crisis, or obtained through the origin. Overall ACOT offers better techs than ZOFE, so if you're using both, you can drop the SOFE submod.
      DarkSpace has been nerfed recently I think? But even before the recent updates it wasn't comparable to ACOT
      ACOT overall has some op stuff, since it focuses on technological advancements primarily. Stellarite in particular is very powerful, and if you use SBTG then things get even more op.

      althought I personally like the automated buildings from darkspace, even thought the empire is def for pvp/multiplayer, so I'll keep it in mind

      @@michael_stellaris DS is compatible with ACOT, except the things that are overwritten by ACOT which change maybe basic game mechanics (DS doesnt overwrite such stuff, so it works anyway).
      About balance, the other mods have like 2x higher numbers or more xD

    zofe is like unicorns blood, it is a good suite of mods, but it is borderline to outright incompatible with every other mod and it breaks so many things

      Yeah the country type change can cause issues. Although with ZOFE 4.0 they introduced a new mode without the change so maybe the mod is more compatible now. I don't know for sure, I didn't play with the update

      I already answered a similar comment, so i'll summarise it real quick. Idk if this will help you out, but here's some tips
      You definetely need FE ships with lost technologies, anything that deals a lot of damage. Don't get rid of fallen empires, OE also target them, so you should keep them around to weaken their fleets.
      Also you can take down each fleet separately, and reverse engineer original people's tech from debris to get even better weapons. They also don't attack right away, and you may actually use their generosity against them, since iirc they can give you lost technologies during one of the deals.

      3.0 is the name of the current iteration, since ZOFE has been around for a very long time.

    I absolutely love this content, ive always found it hard to find any videos on the modding community in Stellaris, so it made me happy when i found this. liked and subscribed already and have a nice day man :) (also wanted to ask if you plan on making one of these videos for acot) (i really suck at acot lmao)
