    Thanks for all the wonderful comments-we had fun making this video. Sadly, not long after we wrapped, our friends' home, the location where we shot it, was destroyed when a giant oak tree fell on it during a storm. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but this document of one musical morning in our friends' lovely house is even more valuable to us all now. Thanks for watching.

    This guy got me through some of the weirdest, lonliest parts of lockdown. Glad I found him in those dark times. And glad he's getting the recognition he deserves.

      He opened for the decemberists this summer and my mom and I were completely blown away and have been obsessed ever since. He is so good live that, as good as this video is, it doesn't do him justice.

      @@stephenroberson3235 Are you flatulent or trying to express an opinion? Pop was and can still be a descriptor of well liked music, regardless of its origins or commercial slot. Or it can be a derogatory term intended to devalue the efforts of musicians who have clearly mastered their need to express themselves through their performances rather than sit back and throw grenades. Please reply with a link to your blinding performance that isn't ppppppppp pop. Cheers!

      Saw him open for Magnetic Fields. Was not sure what I was in for. Quiet as a mouse and my jaw never got picked up off the floor.

    I met jake in Hebden Bridge, UK in August. Personal, no stress, just raw and pure music and one of the best live acts I’ve seen. He’s a wizard on the Guitar!

    His music gives me goosebumps, it resonates with my soul on such a deep level! It's so beautiful, angelic. Truly rare talent, I don't think I've ever cried in this way to music before. I've listened to him for some time but just discovered this session - thank you for this gift!

    I first heard "Raggy Levy" on WMPG college radio in Portland , Maine over 20 years ago. never knew the artist. Finally tracked Jake down a few years ago, and I'm so grateful. The restraint he shows, his timing, his voice are transcendent. Thank you Jake and gang!!!

    Do yourselves a favor, kick your feet up, pour yourself another cup of coffee, smoke um if you gottum, and listen to this sweet music. If you don't love the second song, ("Have you ever seen peaches growing on a sweet patata vine?" The second verse "wake up woman, take your big leg off of mine,") then you ain't no friend of mine.

    Found this browising NPR this weekend and got addictated listening in loop 3 days in a row. His Tele sounds amazing!!! Curious how he got such a warm sound out of it. And yes..... watching someone tuning with capo is very painful for guitarist :)
