Absolutely my favorite artist right now! Tiny Desk just has the best sounds of any live performance. Every instrument sounds crystal clear. Tom cracks me up with that stank face during I Wish🤭 guitar solo. I feel you Tom. Only problem.....it wasnt long enough😢
I feel like Tom and Mac Miller could've really vibed well together if they had the chance to collaborate. Breaks my heart that we'll never get the chance to see that. Rest in Peace Young King Mac!
Tom put out a little tribute to Mac on his Twitter a couple days after he passed. It’s him playing over what’s the use, and being a fan of both it made my heart SO happy! twitter.com/tommisch/status/1039214611197767683?s=21
Never been able to explain it, but Tom Misch music just speaks to my soul! Love every song he has released, been a fan since the 1st song upload, I saw he was performing and I went to see him at XOYO 2015/16 as a young adult. I did not have such passion for any other musician, not one that can make me feel so much emotion, I thought those days had left me, then Tom came along!
I saw Tom live last night in Seattle and he's even better then this!!! Truly an absolutely amazing artist! Was lucky enough to chat with him after as well and he is so kind and humble. Fucking love you Tom
Hear a lot of what I like from the UK and our own take on R&B, soul etc. His voice is a conundrum. It's almost flat but so on the money and he does something so pleasing with so little effort. That is one tight unit.
Well I have come back to listen to this about 10 times so far. I actually wonder how things would signed with a more Dynamic voice than Toms. he has a very pleasant voice but it is his guitar which really conveys emotion and I would love to hear what a more Soulful vocalist would sound like over this beautiful music.
Tom Misch is simply just simply so good. You feel like you can really understand him and his thoughts through his music - without meeting him or even listening to an interview. His music seems very honest and intimate. Love it!
"I wish" brought me back to that first high school love. kissing in trees, running through the rain, laying between the stacks in the library together.. music is magic. This guy's got it.
Yes he is very influenced by bossa nova artists from the 60's,70's... every now and then he'll post a screenshot of a songs he's listening to on his instagram story. Cool to see that influence translate into his music!

Thank you!
I've lost count how many times I watched this... So smooth so beautiful so peaceful
Yes indeed.!!
you and me both sister. it's like i've become a dedicated kpop fan the way i'm adding views to this vid.
I'm a full time Lyft driver in NYC and you are on my playlist! I love your vibes. The soul in you is very rich! I send a lot of customers to your page interested in your music! Just letting you know you have support
Sierra Bellamy you are the hero this world needs, introducing vibes
OMG!!!!! i was in your car!!!! going to the apple store on 14th! here i am! thanks for the recommendation!
@@lucyk8935 wow thank you so much! So uplifting your words are; I truly appreciate them 😇
loool that's hilarious
You know it's funny I curate my playlists carefully according to what I'd like me and people to hear in my car.. Anderson. Paak, Khruangbin, Lianne La Have, etc.
To those who say that theres not good music these days... THIS GUY is why you're wrong
plus, wilted-minded people are looking at the wrong place for "good" music.
CheesecakeLasagna very true
Any person who says that there is no good music nowadays has not even tried looking
Can you tell me some good artists you know of?? Looking for more good music thanks!
Peter Shelling Leon Bridges, Gary Clark Jr, Anderson Paak, Jose James, Robert Glasper... to name a few
I've replayed this like 10 times!!!
Aside from an outstanding performance, the sound engineering is A++!
Troy J. It's always insanely good. Admirable!
I am always taken with how well-mic’d they are, and how well the true sound is presented to us, by the producers at Tiny Desk.
If I could just hear the riff at 9:23 on repeat forever that would complete my life.
What riff? Or do you mean the lick
@@jensclarberg6419 yeah he meant lick
@@jsonbthefirst8866 leave it to a couple musicians to show off what they know. As a musician myself tho, i do have to say: yes that was a lick AND yes, it was sick 😏
@@kfauzi109 if you wanna get real technical, it’s a phrase
I wish they kept showing his face because I felt the same
Just goes to prove: Don't judge a book by it's cover. These guys look like a pick up team for flag football. Wasn't expecting this exquisite sound.
Its freaking beautiful
Ive lost track of how many times I watched this. This video introduced me to Tom Misch years agor and Im so much delighted by his art. Went to his concert in Brazil and the energy was so moving, the best concert ive ever been to tbh. last but not least: LOVE HIS OUTFIT CHOICE FOR THIS
He really out here making this beautiful music in a pair of Nike shorts
Ngaru So Dope!
Yeah, he just did it.
LMAO!!!!!!!!!
The Music Comes From The Pants
I had the SAME thought, yo. I literally said out loud "He looks like he just woke up..."
In my lifetime I have to see Tom perform live. Too beautiful.
Every aspect of this music, every instrument, every vocal rift simply electrifies me. My goodness. Love, love, love this.
Me TOO.!!
By far one of the greatest Tiny Desk Concerts! Tom is another musical genius!!!
wow Tiny Desk is going sooo hard this summer
That drum will last for a good thousand years if he keeps playing that smooth :)
It Runs Through Me is one of those songs you never want to end.
The saxophone is my favorite part, the way y’all Collaborate is amazing!
FINALLY!!
Get Loyle Carner on here too pls!
Yes! Please!
Was just about to comment that
YES!
OMG YES PLEASE !!
sela a. yea!! sooo glad he did a tiny desk!
This is a treat.
Mac Ayres needs to come to Tiny Desk.
rnaefaletui this comment is so slept on
rnaefaletui OMG YES
forreal
Absolutely my favorite artist right now! Tiny Desk just has the best sounds of any live performance. Every instrument sounds crystal clear. Tom cracks me up with that stank face during I Wish🤭 guitar solo. I feel you Tom. Only problem.....it wasnt long enough😢
ayo why is noone talkin about the dude in the back that plays saxophone, guitar, and violin, he deserves more credits
soo like... imma need these versions on Spotify... god dam ethereal music 💕💕 utterly snapped
danya. You can get the performance as a podcast on Spotify
papernicolas3 THANK YOU!!!!
papernicolas3 how do i find them/hear them man?
danya. agreed!
I feel like Tom and Mac Miller could've really vibed well together if they had the chance to collaborate. Breaks my heart that we'll never get the chance to see that. Rest in Peace Young King Mac!
damn what a great idea for a colab, RIP mac gonna miss him forever
Tom put out a little tribute to Mac on his Twitter a couple days after he passed. It’s him playing over what’s the use, and being a fan of both it made my heart SO happy!

@@candytuft5967 I saw that, it was awesome!
Joseph G Right?! If only it could’ve actually happened😩
Huffleafropuff thank you so much for that link, it’s something I never knew I needed but am so much happier for having it in my life
Never been able to explain it, but Tom Misch music just speaks to my soul!
@@edmcguigan3501 Listen to his collab with Jordan Rakei - Wake Up This Day
@@edmcguigan3501 Definitely listen to his album Beat Tape 2, it's his own instrumentals with several different singers featured.
Aaron Norman beat tape 2 is a CLASSIC. That’s when I first discovered Tom Misch, I co-sign the statement that you should check it out
Tom Misch is simply just simply so good. You feel like you can really understand him and his thoughts through his music - without meeting him or even listening to an interview. His music seems very honest and intimate. Love it!
tom misch is so humble and so talented. his voice is so clean and crisp. he is music and soul
I cannot believe how many talented sax players this dude can find
Braxton is actually a jazz/R&B/session guy from the DC metro area. He their first call sax player when one is needed.
@@keithrjackson I've seen about 4-5 others on different sets.
Best mix in years. Me 60 at this moment and age does not matter for saying this is good!
This might be the best NPR mix I've ever heard.
Anybody else here from that one instagram comment???
Yesss just had to watch it again
Yup
Hahaha just came from there
literally yes
Elaborate please
Tom Misch is that artist who's voice is "real". Live or not, its amazing! Long live easy listening
"I wish" brought me back to that first high school love. kissing in trees, running through the rain, laying between the stacks in the library together.. music is magic. This guy's got it.
Love how everyone is grooving so smoothly to the beat. Satisfying to watch and listen too
all these guys have enormous talent. Thank you for the hope so that the beautiful music never ends
2years later and I'm still in awe of how beautiful this performance is..😭
His First track "It Runs Through Me" is pure BOSSA NOVA .
yes sir
Yes he is very influenced by bossa nova artists from the 60's,70's... every now and then he'll post a screenshot of a songs he's listening to on his instagram story. Cool to see that influence translate into his music!
It has led me into my Chill Mix on Google Music Play since I found it 18 months ago.
🇧🇷
Exactly. This guitar is like João Gilberto's Bossa Nova
I've been listening to this video every morning, every lunch time and before every bed time.....eventually all day long ;;...... LOVE YOU TOM
Tom invented his own sound.
I have never listened to anything like this.
Good Looooord!!!
Those Chords
It's just bossa nova.
@@lcb8883 just let the guy enjoy himself man😔😔he don’t need to know that…
@@nikkvelta2284you're sure, lol
Man, that’s just brazilian bossa nova (invented 70 years ago)
@@lcb8883definitely not bossa nova lol. Completely different rhythm
I’ve been listening to Tom for so long, and I still never get sick of him
SAME! He's so wonderful and timeless. He has so much future ahead of him as well!
Very smooth vocals.
His shit is crack
