I'm only 32 but I think I can confidently say I followed AI, Kobe, Shaq, Vince, T-Mac, Duncan, MJ (wizards era), and Dirk's career and I don't EVER remember any of them being this good at this late into their careers. What Lebron is doing is INSANE and this video is a perfect summary of it
A lot of luck & modern medicine plays a heavy hand in it. Because Lebron hasn’t had a hardcore injury like Kobe had in 2013, he’s been able to amass incredible stats. Jordan had nothing left to do after 98. He was picked as the greatest athlete in history by most mainstream publications in 99 & 2000.
What do you mean he's good not great? Not better than Jordan is what you mean right? Because lebron is very clearly a top 2 basketball player of all time. So if lebron isn't great, than nobody is, pr ever was, who isn't Michael.

Like there are and have been well-rounded or complete players. But none that are historically elite at multiple things. And then none who have been for this long. That chart represents that super well. But yesterday, I noticed another ridiculous stat. So the 40k points (which didn't even need to be mentioned in this video!) made him the only player with 40k points, 11k rebounds, and 10k assists. He was also the first to 30/11/10, 20/10/10, and is still the ONLY player with 10/10/10. He passed Magic and Nash and is only a few hundred assists from Chris Paul, who is still playing but LeBron averages more assists per season so he'll slowly overtake him anyway. The only player who's mathematically on pace to just get 10/10/10 is, to no one's surprise, Jokic. But he's 9 seasons in with just over half the rebounds and under half the assists. He'd have to play at his current level for basically another 9 years with little to no drop off... and he still wouldn't have 20/10/10. This is insane.
@@blendism.4076he definitely has a legitimate chance. Evolution goes forward not backwards. Players are gonna play more years, medicine gonna be better and the league its still gonna be about offense and scoring.
Lukas will likely have 35+ ppg seasons to make up for that difference and scoring is easier now (imagine if he increases his minutes even more). The issue with Luka is that I doubt he's going to remain as dominant for long, but I can see Luka eventually surpassing LeBron's pace, which isn't a stretch, since he's a better scorer, just like MJ was (and MJ was far ahead of LeBron as well). What will prevent Luka from surpassing LeBron will be longevity imo, but if we compare both at 30, Luka might be ahead...

He helped usher in this descent with his changing teams, non clutch moments, social justice warrior antics, steroid rumors, nicknaming himself the King, throwing teammates under the bus, etc….he isn’t a true leader, just a very talented person with little integrity.
This is one of the best videos you’ve put up.. What LJ has done is spectacular and the stats really tell you what he’s doing is just not anything normal as we might think it is.. I remember a while back in a video, Jimmy said something along the line of “At what point does a flame who burns at 90% of the hottest flame become more valuable than the fire that burns hotter but doesn’t last nearly as long.” We hit that pot and Bron is adding to it. He’s the GOAT, and I think a majority will accept this once he’s gone. Enjoy it while it lasts, we won’t see anything like this for a long time

I like to think of it in terms of longevity when it comes to that conversation. MJ is seen as the greatest player and there’s plenty of evidence to support that. You can’t convince a 90s basketball fan otherwise. So, if Lebron will never be their greatest player, here is one thing Jimy paints a great picture of that nobody can deny. He is far and away the most dominant in NBA history. His level of play and the length of time he’s played is historic. Nobody will touch his records for decades. Maybe ever with no more high school prospects. What he has done for the length of time he’s played is hard to illustrate just how impressive it is.

If you want to argue Pip and Rodman = Wade and Bosh, fine, close enough. But don't act like Lebron never had help. You forgot Love in Cleveland as well. Lebron had one great run with little help. The rest, he had LOADS of help. And he choked 3 straight times as the favorite. That IS something Jordan never did.
Not to take anything away from Lebron, or other players, but 4th quarter scoring can be deceptive. For example Anthony Edwards is averaging 6.2 ppg in the 4th quarter compared to 8.1 for Lebron. The difference. Anthony Edwards is on the number 1 seed in the west, and is part of one of the best defenses of the last 10 years. The Timberwolves have held 18 opponents below 100 points, and have been apart of a lot of blowouts. Anthony Edwards hasn’t needed to do nearly as much as Lebron, and the Lakers in the fourth to win games. And Lebron needs to do a lot don’t get me wrong. Lakers are struggling. And this holds true for all the other players who are leading the nba in 4th quarter scoring as well (outside of Giannis whos the 3 seed.) The fourth quarter scoring leaders this season are Trae Young 7.7 points in the fourth and the 10th seed, fox 7.7 points in the fourth and the 7th seed, Curry. 7.5 points and the 9th seed, Durant 7.4 points and 6th seed… etc. basically the teams that have been in a lot of close games will have the point scoring leaders, while players like shai, ant, Tatum, Jokic, etc will be in cruise control. Doesn’t mean any of these players are better than each other, just that it’s a bad stat to compare stars.
fair point, makes a lot of sense! I havent thought about that while watching. I also thought the many comparisons with 21th season was weird, first we saw that he basically was the only player with a resonable 21th season, from that point on I would have loved to see the comparison by age, not the season, Im sure he would have led everything by age as well, but we could have gotten some better context from it. My Goat. Playing at an all-level for TWENTY ONE seasons, causing opponents problems in several eras, alongside all the typical achievements by a great player is just insane. He's not the best player we've ever seen in a season but this good for TWENTY-ONE seasons gives me goosebumps.
The guy dragged multiple lottery teams to the final kicking and screaming and managed to win a few. MJ had the luxury of playing on a dynasty team coached by the GOAT. The same team that won 55 games without him and took the eventual finals loser to 7 games, that team took the consensus championship pick to 7 games in the final. When LeBron leaves a team they go from contender to lottery. Somehow people still like to point out the finals record in a team game to discount LeBron.
He’s the greatest athlete to ever play what I think is the most underrated sport in the world, or at least in America. Anytime he was facing Roger Federer, it was must see and some of the best memories I have watching any sport.
Ok. Over the course of 20 years, statistically LBJ is the GOAT. George W. Bush was President. The Iraq/ Afghanistan invasions were going forward, Shaquille and Kobe were dominating the NBA, Phil Jackson was the coach, the Pats and Brady won their first Superbowl. LeBron’s physical longevity should be studied.
It's funny cuz not even statistically is he the goat, all he has is longevity and cumulative stats that come with longevity, and that longevity as my friends said, comes 100% from PEDs, no way around it, nobody in history of the world gets stronger and his head starts squaring up... So Lebum had to use PEDs in order to play for over 21 years to amass as many meaningless stats as possible and even so, he's not the most accomplished player in history... Must be sad

LEBRON IS THE PERSON THAT PLAYS MY CAREER ON HALL OF FAME AND STILL CARRIES HIS TEAM EVEN WHILE OLDER.
Doesn’t mean any of these players are better than each other, just that it’s a bad stat to compare stars.
the fact his team is struggling is viewed as a detriment to him tho, I don't get it. But yh this is a good point
fair point, makes a lot of sense!

This is the best video Jimmy has ever done and that’s saying something.
We need this video in tennis community about Novak Djokovic, almost 37, still number one, all time record holder.
He’s the greatest athlete to ever play what I think is the most underrated sport in the world, or at least in America. Anytime he was facing Roger Federer, it was must see and some of the best memories I have watching any sport.
Yeah … Nole is Tennis GOAT imo even though i’m Fedex fan 🙏
Who cares about him? Nadal and Federer have had far greater careers and have been loved infinitely more by the fans.
It's been studied. And peds seem to play a significant role.
He on that new juice
It's funny cuz not even statistically is he the goat, all he has is longevity and cumulative stats that come with longevity, and that longevity as my friends said, comes 100% from PEDs, no way around it, nobody in history of the world gets stronger and his head starts squaring up... So Lebum had to use PEDs in order to play for over 21 years to amass as many meaningless stats as possible and even so, he's not the most accomplished player in history... Must be sad
@@seebbsss well said
@@seebbsssshow us the proof of lebron using PEDS since you know everything I wanna see it

A lie
Jxmy just destroyed that narrative, not that it ever had any legs to begin with 😒
@@comebackkid44723yep kid needs to watch his new video
Jxmy's easily one of the greatest creators on this platform. The ability to create videos that are so informational and captivating is unreal
He’s lebalding and his lebeard is grey, yet he’s still great

kevin garnett
IS ANGRY 😂🤣
Man, this is like poetry listening to you talking.
Great stuff, as always
Hate him or love him.
You can't deny him, period.
We will never see another Bron in our lifetime or breaking the 40K Points, 10K Assist, and 10K Rebounds, plus everything else he has
I can’t deny him but Jason Terry, Steph curry, Tim Duncan, kawhi Leonard etc all have 😂😂😂
@@TheBBCSlurpeeWe will definitely see another Bron in our lifetime, in just the last decade we’ve seen some of the highest level talent there’s ever been so who’s to say someone like a Bron 2.0 won’t come along in another maybe 10-15 years
Was in 1st grade when he entered the league.....am now about to be 27. Once in a lifetime player, the league will never be the same when hes done. GOAT
mj is the GOAT no question.
The stat isn't "Estimated wins", it's "Estimated wins added". Estimated Wins Added (EWA) is the estimated number of additional wins a player contributes to a team’s season, compared to the number of points a replacement player would contribute.
Gonna need you to make a vid on all this “we done with the 90’s” stuff
“Here’s a chart of [random stat]”
“And then there’s [player]”
PURE EXCELLENCE is the fair summation of his career and this video❤
6:34 scared the shit out of me
Yeah the music lowkey was irritating with screeching and random yelling lmao
