- This is my review of Cherish OS, one of the best Custom ROMs available for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Series - Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.
In this video I've explained how you'll install this ROM from scratch and also if it can hold up as a daily driver ROM.

Hey man Nice review as always. Is it necessary to install this rom with pixel recovery or can I use orange fox?
The reason I didn't show TWRP or OFOX is because they are suited for installing Android 11 roms only. Their Android 12 versions are not yet released and they are not persistent after a reboot.
Also these recoveries cannot decrypt internal storage.
So the only way is a clean flash, and if we are doing clean flash we can get away with simple recoveries like PE / Lineage.
I'm gonna pin this comment so that it will help all of you who are in doubt of using OFOX/TWRP.

It varies phone by phone,i have a redmi note 8 and it's fine for me to use OFOX recovery since it support A12 roms. So just check with XDA Devs before installing a ROM for your phone.

Installed CherishOS 3.8 on my RN10 pro today and I must say I'm loving it so far (MIUI cam included) smooth AF and lightweight in terms of storage, no bloatware. RAM management seems great also and battery life so far is good. I can't see myself going back to MIUI.

@@milkkolaj it came with MIUI camera preinstalled the only issues are, slow motion doesn't work and 64MP works but not in the sun

Cherish OS 3.8 for redmi note 10 pro came with Xiaomi stock camera app pre installed. Everything works except slow-motion 👍

I need a suggestion, it's been years that I've stopped using custom roms due to banking apps issues without use of magisk and some stability/reliability issues of custom roms. But i can't stand how bad is miui and it feels really sugglish and sometimes it's frustrating. So is it worth taking a risk on installing a stable custom rom over miui. Considering this is my only and primary device used for all the banking and essential apps. Ps i don't plan to root it, just a stable rom with better user experience is what i need.

That's Great How U Showned The Rom I Believe, Well I Tried this rom after that video because i was just switching from rom to rom in the past but if someone's needs the rom for good customization with a decent better battery backup they can go with it. so far its good tho getting minimal bacup and all from it . As Everyone can also use Any recovery if you don't have any issues with it as well as Enjoy The Rom ☄️

Thanks for your reviews man, I'm using pixel experience but the reality is that I miss some MIUI functions. Do you know a rom based in MIUI with better kernel?. Or I should to return the original MIUI with a clean Installation?. What is your best sugestion for me?
You can try EU rom. Also, as for the kernel....you can flash any available kernel you want on your rom.

Till my bootloader was being unlocked I tried a gcam port that technolobe suggested and omg is it better than the miui one the AWB in mi camera app is literally yellow and almost perfect in gcam and human subject are given a very bad reddish color and in gcam it's natural and good but when comes to color gcam takes natural photos which i can say doesn't look that eye pleasing than a little saturated ones from the stock camera but tbh you can just tweak the saturation Level in the built in editor and best part it's free and really good for casual user cause idk much about camera details

Can you upload a comparison video of these rom if possible (pixel, pixel plus, cherish,Evolution X etc in terms of gaming, day to day use, battery backup, stability and security). That is a beautiful ROM! Wish it supported more devices.
Just installed this ROM, been using for around 8 hours now. Has a ton of customization features. But also has a few bugs such as Always On Display blinking on and off sometimes. The bottom navigation pill is also on a thin bar which overlays the screen. Toast notifications have improper horizontal margins and the text touches the corner.
Minor bugs but coming from something like PE+, they are bothersome. The battery backup however seems much better than PE. I'll probably switch and try EvolutionX next, until I find the perfect ROM. Thanks for the review, hope you do more A12 Based ROMs for the Redmi Note 10 Pro.
What did you end up settling on?
@@usefulknowledge6074 I tried EvolutionX and then PixelOS, both had various issues, mainly being battery. I'm currently using LineageOS fork with Sleepy Kernel... super satisfied with performance and battery.

@@usefulknowledge6074 I'm using a GCam port, which has all 4 lenses fully functional. I would prefer MIUI cam, but this works pretty well too

hey man i have been following your pixel experience tutorials and they are very good and i use them for even myself but from a few days i am having terrible battery drain in the pixel experience android 12 and i am wondering if it is due to overheating and physical battery problem or software problem ? i am trying to go back to stock rom and then get a visit at the service center

I used the PE recovery. I never installed PE in this video.
I'd like to see lots of customizations on miui(although there are Miui themes where everything is changing) . Besides that, i don't like stock Android. Oh and you can keep material you(although i'd like to see it at some point on Miui)

Hi! Unfortunately, tryed this custom rom, It doesn't support update and some other features. Back to my favorite evolution X :) I recommend to make a comparaison. Have a nice work.

I already shared a better camera than ANX. Try that and see if it solves your issue. Else wait for me to make the video, or watch any other tutorial on YT

Gave it a try, but not my thing. Too much customization features which might be useful or good for someone but not for me. I flashed PE Plus Build and so far so good. Its very smooth and just the extra touches that are needed over the vanilla PE. Very good for day to day usage and I do not play games. You should give PE+ (Latest Build) a try.

@@sohanurz Using for 3 days now. So far so good, no idle drains, very smooth and almost everthing is working fine. There is screen flickering although you can fix it via two adb commands. That's all.

I have a question. I installed most of the roms all have a common problem is the speaker is very timid and broken, only Pixel Os and Curvus Os do not have this problem. So where is the problem? Please someone tell me the cause of this problem.
As I Used That Rom For Almost From The Last Second Release, It's Good To Use And Amazing with an Decent Better Battery Backup but in mic there's some issues faced by me ( As I Tried That clubhouse app That making the Some sound factor) Apart from this Overall Rom Is Great
For those who have battery drain issues plz restart/ switch_Off & On once you charge the phone. This worked for me and now my battery backup is insane. It almost last more than 1.5 days. Give a try !

A question... the Corvus OS has "performance profiles", battery, balance, smooth, game, etc... Do you know if this ROM also features something like this? Or even better, if it is possible to attach certain apps to one of these profiles. In my example, the only way I can play the Dolphin emulator on my Redmi Note 8 Pro is through the "game" profile or even further, the battery profile handles pretty much everything else and the endurance is good enough

I don't use Cherish, but yes, mostly all custom ROMs have that feature
there is anxcamera v204 for a12L which works fine on almost every a12L rom. Just flash it and you are good to go!

Heyy..! I use Project elixir after getting inspired by your contents... The developed has OTA update supported, but sadly It didn't work since I had TWRP recovery installed in mine.. now after seeing this I'm planning to shift to Cherish OS for the May Security update. Can u tell if "Installing Pixel experience recovery is all i need to update my phone via OTA update..?" Cause I don't want to mess with backing up everytime there is an update and downloading all my apps all over again..!!
Since you are switching ROMs so it's better you do a factory reset.

I am using this rom since yesterday and it has been simply lovely. Only issue i am facing is the lack of a good camera app. I have brought procam x as well. But that app does not have 3 camera set up and also 64MP mode doesn't work. The max resolution that we can get from procam x is 16.1 MP. Is there a way to get the camera to work like it would in miui? Can you please make a video on it. Thanks a lot in advance.
There is a camera app called LMC 8.4 r9 it is very powerful camera app it is not on the app store so you have to side load it

It's better if you switch to project elixir or pixelplusui which comes with pre-installed anx cam :)

This is hands down the best ROM I've tried so far, whereas the Pixel experience 12 was a buggy mess for me.
