3:17 “Who wanted a smaller iPhone”, we had that. It was called the Mini, and you killed it reportedly because people didn’t want a smaller iPhone or it was too niche. Make up your mind Tim.
It was unreasonably priced at 890 euros, when a bigger base model was 950. I wanted it, but couldn’t justify the price for phone this small and limited.
Not that long this came out in 2022 and the iPhone x only got 5 years of support which is now several years behind Google and Samsung for OS updates. And unlike Android Apple doesn't decouple app updates from OS updates so once you get your last major update on Apple you'll never get an app update ever again.
@@michaelcorcoran8768No Android from 2017 was supported that long so what's your point lol? U gotta do a fair comparison. Also idk what u mean with app updates but you can definitely update your apps even if you're not in the newest iOS
@@prayheI had an iPhone X until last month and can confirm that app support was still fine even 2 software versions behind. I would have kept the phone longer if instagram calls didnt make it overheat and need restarting so much. iPhones are really good for lasting a very long time even when not supported with major updates anymore. iOS 16 still gets security updates, so clearly iPhone support lasts many years.
I know several people that have one for work as it was supplied by their employer and all of them complain that they often can't make ik through the workday without it dying on them. Kind of defeats the purpose if you ask me.
I think part of the reason the price has never decreased is the SE 4 will come with a price hike and any decrease on the SE 3 at this point would make the SE 4 seem like a bigger price jump.
Exactly. Apple would never ever reduce prices and charge e.g. $329 for the SE 3, regardless of how dated and bad value it is right now. Even with a price cut, they wouldn't sell now a ton more of new SE 3's anyway. The main thing for Apple is that, for the public, the straight jump from 3rd to 4th gen would be seen as an unjustifiable $170 instead of "just" $70
There are *tons* or deals, even much cheaper than $150. Frequently such deals make you use some MVNO's network and plans. Personally, I love the SE 3, but I can see where the younger crowd doesn't want huge bezels and an LCD screen.
I love the iPhone SE. I love hardware home buttons, I love ergonomic design/large bezels, I love compact form factors. The SE 3 is a super reliable and utilitarian phone
I love mine as well. But I'm also 43 years old, and hardly on my phone apart from RUclips and texts. My 21 year old daughter could never cope with this, but for Me it's great
I have the SE three 128 and I’m very happy with it and I also use it for a vlog walking device so it’s not a bad selling device. It’s just people don’t know how to use it. It’s simple, and easy to use.
It's funny you should post this video because my mom was wanting to upgrade her 2nd-gen SE to the 3rd-gen. I managed to convince her to go with the 14, mostly because she wanted to pay the full price up front as it would allow her to remain on her current cellular plan. A subsidized upgrade would have ended up costing her more over the long run, plus Apple was offering $60 as a trade-in credit, which is more than we would have gotten from Best Buy or our carrier without the hassle of trying to sell it ourselves.
Exactly these phones aren't really meant to be paid for at MSRP. Similar thing with something like the Moto stylus which is ridiculous at $400 but people get it for $50 or 100 bucks
Mhmm , I wish more Midrange or Flagship phones have LCD as alternative low cost and best for people with Oled sensitivity Personally I like amoled because it's my finally experience after years of buying LCD. But even I turn off HDR , and use cool temp + left slider the Saturation to make it look more LCD'ish Oled. I don't like too much punchy colors , because I mostly use phones to watch animation or game picture or play one of them,
I love the design, because in my opinion a scree should always be rectangular without any rounded corners, notches or dynamic islands. I NEVER use the front camera and I would never use Face ID either. I hate non-rectangular screen so much that I would even choose the iPhone SE over the iPhone 16 Pro Max if they were the same price. And what exactly do people want to do with their expensive iPhone that the SE can't? Which important apps will not work on the SE? If you buy an expensive phone for a better camera, you should rather get a real camera for that money.
I got this basically free with a 2 year contract when it came out. I think that's a great value. With AppleCare+, that covers for a battery replacement about every 18 months. It does everything other iPhone does except it's camera just isn't as good for zooming or night shots. Otherwise, I don't feel wanting for anything else.
One thing I will say, the iPhone with home button is easier to use one handed as it's easier to press your thumb to go back to Home, vs trying to swipe up from the bottom of the screen one handed.
5:57 That’s exactly why i chose the SE 3 and not the 14 back in 2022,i was still too attracted to the home button (obv imma upgrade to the SE 4 when that comes out).
I got one from Walmart for $150, brand new. It's locked to straight talk, but I was never planning on activating it and using it as my main phone; I'm using it like an ipod touch.
Ew why 64 gbs? Unless you have under 5 apps installed you can’t do anything on it memory-wise or usage-wise. Might be better spent just financing a better phone at that point. I own an SE 2020 so I’m not unfamiliar with that phone either.
My iPhone is an iPhone SE 2020. I bought it new for a discounted price of £229 shortly after the iPhone SE 2022 5G came out. I have no problems with the old look. My only issue is the small battery that doesn't last me for a whole day. A year later I bought a new Samsung A53 5G which at £249 was as also half price is a better design than a modern iPhone. The A53 has under the screen touch which works better than face unlock. The A53 also has a a much better OLED screen than most iPhones.
Honestly I’m glad it came out because 10 years from now this will be the last iphone with the Touch ID button that can use 5g and support a decent iOS version it would be a good throwback
I’m just switched from iPhone 15 to iPhone SE 3 for the compact form and beast performance and not a single regret..the only issue is battery, but being able to wear phone by 1 hand is luxury experience these days…
@@kingklapsyt2991 yes I was iPhone 13 Mini user as well..but the feeling of hold it in hand was better experience on SE..But I couldn’t agree more in terms of battery and camera 13 Mini so much better
I think this phone will hold a special place being most likely the last home button iphone, but nothing can justify paying that much for that phone. If you really looked on places like ebay you could get a 14 pro for cheaper, and the difference is insane. I just got one for 350 and even coming from an iphone 13 the jump is very noticeable
It’s also just the SE2 with a better chip lol. Like yeah it’ll be the last iPhone with a home button but it’s just a very slightly better SE2.. which was just a better iPhone 8. It’s the most boring/lazy phone ever
I really hope that an SE 4 keeps the home button. I hope it gets the same treatment as SE 1 and 2, but the home button is the most important issue for me. I can't switch away from the home button!
I have one of these. Bought it back in March. Replaced an iPhone 11, which I probably should have kept. Waiting for the 4th generation. No, I didn't pay $430, I paid a little over $250 with a $180 trade in.
the best for the next iPhone SE would be for me keeping the Homebutton and almost everything from the case but changing the camera, display and putting iPhone 16 hardware inside and USB-C of course
I stopped using my iPhone 14 Pro Max because the oled screen bothers my eyes. I bought the iPhone SE 3 directly from Apple and I couldn't be happier. I found an iPhone 7 smart battery case, so the battery lasts all day and I'm also happy to use the home button again. I've played the same video on my 14 Pro Max and SE 3 back to back with multiple people, I'm not the only person bothered by oled. I hope Apple sells another LED screen iPhone in the future or I'm getting a flip phone. Edited: “oled” was autocorrect to old.
While I bought a new Phone just for Amoled. I get it why some don't like Oled / Amoled. These also could have PWM issues and some are sensitive. I myself love Amoled and finally got it but I don't miss it much. I have a LCD phone and except 720p or 120Hz, I kind of like how LCD phones have better Whites vs yellowish whites. Which makes picture watching of 2d/animation on LCD phones better. ( maybe it depends of quality of oled but oleds are not known for whiter images. LCD phones always whiter but can't have deep blacks or saturated blast of colors , [neons look awesome in oled] )
Honestly SE3 is not a bad phone itself it fixed everything wrong with se2 aka bad battery lack of 5g etc overall if you want the "classic" experience that runs smooth with latest ios its not a bad phone IF you get it second hand as on second hand market its a great value
The SE3 is the last iPhone in history with both a home button and an LCD, the same design that the late Steve Jobs used himself. You can't top that, it's nostalgic value is through the roof. And you can totally use it as a daily driver with only minor inconveniences since there are no gestures and it's just slower navigation. The new SE4 if it's even ever released won't give you that classic Home button and LCD experience. The SE3 is not about value, it's about iPhone in a historic and nostalgic sense. Once they release the SE4 and the prices for the SE3 drop a bit, think I'll grab one more SE3 in Starlight, 256 Gigs storage, because there will never again be anything like it in the history of iPhone. After all, this classic form factor is what made iPhone in the first place. FaceID may be better, but it's not the same good old.
Steve always said you should be able to use the phone with just 1 hand. Remember the iPhone 5 ad? "Your thumb goes from here to here. This "bigger" screen goes from here to here. Thats either a) an amazing co-incidence or b) a dazzling display of common sense. Pretty sure its the common sense thing". ruclips.net/video/Af0gtsjfy7E/видео.html
@@rinnin Thanks for the old ad. Those were the days! Today nobody even knows what common sense is, let alone what a phone should or even could be like. It's always the bigger is better mentality. That's why even though it seems completely insane I'm getting me the second SE3 while I still can since the one I have is a 128 Gig Midnight one which was the only one on sale two years ago and I always wanted the top 256 Gig Starlight version. Also influencing this is that I bought several original Apple leather and silicone cases for iPhone SE 2020 with unbelievable discounts, for like $10 each, and they fit the SE3 perfectly, would hate all of them to go to waste.
The iPhone 6 was the best selling iPhone ever! I already made a sacrifice from my iPhone 8 Plus to the iPhone SE 3. But as I’m using it its size is really growing on me.
@@XblarxOne I'm replacing my 6s with an SE3 right now. Things that you like and are accustomed to, only newer and a bit more powerful. What's not to like?
It's a terrible deal at MSRP but very few people actually pay MSRP for. It's 100 bucks with straight talk and gets unlocked in 60 days automatically or visible. Or two bucks a month with Verizon or AT&t
I bought one for $150 on Verizon (can’t stand straight talk) and the only thing that sucks is they only offer the crappy 64GB version. Apple really should’ve released this phone with 128GB,256GB,512GB. Still a super good deal for $150 though. I plan on buying another when they run Black Friday deals.
I bought mine a few months ago from Walmart for $150, activated the base plan for one month, and two months later it automatically unlocked. For less than $200, it's a good and cheap way to dip your toes into iOS. It sold me and I plan on getting an iPhone 16 soon. Plus, it's great for grandparents or kids as its up-to-date software and fast chip for its price make it a safe and easy recommendation. However I do agree that the $429 MSRP was a terrible price tag from the start. At that price I can only see it being worth it if you're buying it to have a "modern dumbphone" and you need it asap.
I love mine, got it in 2022 and I use it here and there, at a times my 15 pro max is to big and bulky, like just going grocery shopping or to the cinema, I grab my SE 3 ❤
So let me get this straight… since 2022, the iPhone SE 3 has always been priced at $429, up from $399 from the last two SEs… when the iPad 10, also from 2022, is currently priced at $349, down from its original launch price of $449; $20 more than the last 5 $329 iPads (iPad 5-9)!! There should’ve been a price reduction for the SE last year… but Apple being Apple.
Some people are actually looking for these Usually old people who are used to the home button Also the few who held on to their iPhone 7 and 8 until they were no longer supported and now just have to replace them I think replacing the screen with an OLED , improving battery in cameras, would do great to the home button iPhones because apparently there is still a market for them
Touch gestures really aren't hard. Saying you don't like the home button in 2024 feels like saying you want to use a flip phone. The only gesture you really need to know is sliding up to close the app.
It’s increased in price since launch at least here. Was 550 bucks at launch now 620 bucks. Although I’ve seen them as low as 200 bucks used in almost new condition.
Sadly the SE 3 is the only choice of a new iPhone for the 10% of us that can’t use OLED due to PWM. With the terrible news the SE 4 will be OLED, once the SE 3, Xr and 11 are too old, where will millions of us go? Apple make the SE 4 LCD and knock off $100!!!
I’ve written the Apple feedback webpage several times asking them to keep one led option for those who are bothered by pwm. Please write them too, I hope the new se has an led screen.

I bought the SE 2022 and I'm very happy with it, I'm not interested in the bigger phone. I barely use my phone on daily except for some phone calls and navigation... 95% of the time my phone is on mute and on a desk or a table at home. I put the SE in the same category as the XR, and wouldn't touch either. When I was upgrading from my iPhone 7, I went to the XS. My kids had got the original X (and later upgraded to the 13 Pro). Loved my XS but, when the battery was failing (and I thought it was about to lose the latest iOS), I upgraded to a 13 Mini - with the same footprint as my iPhone 7. Unless you prefer Touch ID - can't wait to lose it when I upgrade my iPad Mini 5th Gen - I'd definitely go for a 13 or 14 model, rather than anything with SE in its name. Thanks for the content.
This iphone is mostly intended for businesses as they are relatively cheap compared to other models. Company phones don't need high specs, just a fast phone with latest security updates.
haven’t watched the full video yet but I would like to note that Walmart is selling brand new iPhone SE 3s for 179 through total by Verizon, Walmart Family Mobile, or TracPhone. I also saw that AT&T is selling it new for 140$ but idk about that. I think that $179 for a brand new iPhone is a damn good deal, even if it’s older.
I've had mine for almost 2 years and it's been great. I would still recommend it to anyone. If you buy it from apple it is over priced but most services have it for under $200. Way better than any Android at that price. Heck better than any Android at full price!
Let’s not be crazy, I have always bought iPhones but most $400-$500 androids make the se look like an anachronism. It’s a clear lack of effort from Apple.
@@arjund.4817 Apple has way better CPU performance than any android phone in this price range and is well documented. Android does offer more bells and whistles if you care for the 3 or 4 camera's and 7 inch OLED screen that will get burn in. Most just want there phone to works and IOS just does that. Some like me like the smaller screen and a home button. Simple and works. Also may I add IOS offers more updates and security unlike android. Good luck trying to get a android phone to update after a year or ever. It's a clear lack of effort from Android phone makers for $400 price tag. iPhone SE will be getting updates till 2029.
I bought that first SE in 2018 when it went on sale to keep as a spare. And indeed a year later my wife has dropped her 7 so many times it's stopped working. So she had to use the SE which she did for a year and a half. Then I got her a budget android, which she dropped into the sink a few days ago and it stopped working on Friday. So as of this Friday evening (day before yesterday) she's again using the SE....😅 Until next month when we're hoping to get either a new 13 or 14 depending on stock and budget.

Show some love to this phone, this phone from what I know has had either none to little complaints of fire or overheating. Safest iPhone if you ask me.
IPhone SE 3 is the best iPhone value it can be picked up brand new at Walmart for $149 and used even cheaper it's fantastic completely opposite of this video
I have the first 2 iPhone SEs and the original SE is the best one, especially when I got it in 2018. It was incredibly cheap ($100), fast as a rocket, and outlived my 6s’s battery life. Once it got iOS 12 it was almost even better. I like the second gen one but it’s not as premium as the first one.
I honestly think that they will revive the mini chassis for the SE 4. Apple always offered a smaller version, the SE is their smallest option, a bigger screen comes with a bigger cost, and they already have the equipment to build them, granted, they will have to dust it off, but they can reuse it. That's what i think
Where I live the SE and iPhone 13 are both on sale and both...COST THE SAME PRICE of €599!!! Crazy! How can the SE cost the same as the 13???? Madness and truffle m terrible value
I have an iphone SE 3 (SE 2022) and I have to disagree. I paid $279 total for the 128gb version new and on sale. I bought it the same month it came out. I like the smaller footprint, fits perfectly in my front jeans pocket. It will do everything my Brother's $800 iphone 13 will do except 5G Milliimeter-Wave, but it comes with regular 5G, the camera is basic (fine for me) and it won't find my phone right down to the Sofa, only the whole house, but it shows everything else. (fine with me). I don't feel at all disadvantaged or ripped off, just the opposite, because it was the latest iphone when I bought it with just a smaller screen and older design for $279. I am looking forward to an SE4 and if that happens I will likely buy that one too.
I had an SE2 from 2020 to just a few weeks ago and got a 16. I was gonna wait for a potential 4th gen SE but since there were no announcements for one yet and my case broke, I went for the upgrade.
I had the option to buy it for $50 on Verizon or $150 on prepaid. I ain’t complaining and I’ve been enjoying the nostalgia of a tiny phone. I just got my first iPad so I figured what is there to lose switching to Apple with my tablet and smart phone from Android. Happy with my switch but I know what I loose coming from my Samsung A54. As I learned the features the iPad has and the jester of the bar on the bottom of the screen, I am looking forward moving on from the home button, brighter screen and larger battery. I’m either waiting on the SE 4 or buy the iPhone 15 on a good sale or pay the money for the 16.
@@BrianRamotar_1776 which is an indication of the poor research done in this video. You have to try pretty damn hard to pay the Apple price. Like, literally ignore almost every other outlet selling the thing.
Hey really good video and I think you make a really good point especially when you compare it to the original SE from 2016 were they lowered the price as the phone became outdated. I think like you said it's a good phone to get as long as you get it in the use market at a good price but 430 bucks for that phone new is way way overpriced
22:49 hell no, the best part of SE is that its not updated annually. And it would be better if they make regular iphones update every 2 years too (maybe with a colors update on 2nd year)
These are great if you buy them prepaid from Walmart. $149 and you get a iPhone running ios 18, especially when the SE 4 comes out in the spring. Can’t wait.
With a prepaid carrier you can get the iPhone SE 3rd gen for $200 which I found it outperforms mostly everything else that comes close to price point most people buying a budget friendly phone are going to get it through a prepaid carrier
I just got one for my 10yo daughter for 50% off with tmobile so it was only $215 with a new line. I wish I could’ve got a 13 Mini like her older brother has but they’re long gone now
I’m using one from Walmart that I got for $150, It’s a great device to use one handed & Apple Pay with Touch ID is very slick. The 3rd gen SE does have wireless charging, you can get a case with a magnet built in and it’s basically the same. It can load pages faster with a lower resolution and the power from the 5nm CPU. Other companies are releasing new devices with 12nm CPUs with larger displays that “fit in” but are objectively a lot worse. I frankly can’t stand swipe gestures and prefer the navigation buttons on android. Swipe gestures are more prone to misclicks. Also prefer the standard screen. It has a comparable pixel density and is a sharp screen, that is just smaller. At least Samsung lets you hide the camera cutout. The battery is the drawback, but listening to audio it still will last the majority of the day.
It’s not a good phone for the price point that Apple is currently selling it at, but it is still a very good phone. The charming and nostalgic design, the pleasing home button, convenient one handed use with a beast of a processing chip makes it a more than useful device for a lot of people. Personally it’s been great for a digital detox . Typing from the SE 2022.
Just get the SE 3 pre-owned and then it’s a very good deal! iPhone 13 in the 8 body. Only downsides is the LCD screen, a 2017 camera and the battery life. But the people who are buying this phone aren’t gonna care too much, it’s still got years of updates to come. Don’t give it too much slack. The only thing wrong is how much Apple is charging for it
It has another important thing going for it. Like some earlier Android phones, it's compact. I want a phone for my pocket. A giant candybar just won't do.
I definitely agree that it’s priced way too high but regardless most people aren’t paying full price..I mean you can get a brand new SE3 for $150 on most prepaid carriers in the US. This is still a really good phone too with years of updates and life left.
after managing to smash my se2 I picked up an SE3 and an Otterbox for cheap. I will probably run it until I cant get batteries for it or it becomes obsolete to the point where you can't use cellular features.
I’ve been hoping you would make a video about this don’t get me wrong even though I would not use this phone as my main I’m honestly considering getting it as a back up because I do love this design. It’s so nostalgic back in the day I saw everyone with iPhone 6 & 7 and literally even though I hated Apple at the time that design was really sick and posh for whatever reason it’s gonna be sad when they get rid of this no more home button that’s why I wanna try and grab one brand-new so I can keep it in the box for years to come as a backup or just as a piece of history, but I really don’t agree with the price I’ve been saying for months it should be $300 at max

Not if you get from Walmart at like 150$
Exactly these phones aren't really meant to be paid for at MSRP. Similar thing with something like the Moto stylus which is ridiculous at $400 but people get it for $50 or 100 bucks
@@michaelcorcoran8768 yeah, even if it’s locked to trackfone or whatever you can get it unlocked after two months
He’s convinced me time and time again just how horrible of a value this phone is and if Apple does the bare minimum for the SE4 imma sue fr
best iPhone SE idea
-iPhone XR Body/Camera
-A18 with Inteligence
-5G (low/midband)
-128GB base storage
-$379 price tag
This is what I wished for when I heard the SE4 was gonna come.
Lol $379?? It would be $500 minimum for those specs😂
The se 3 is 429 so that would be nice
64GB has got to go...
It’s a little optimistic
As someone who has PWM sensitivity I can only use the se 3.
Or any other phone with a non-OLED screen.
@@stevennovakovich2525they know.
Mhmm , I wish more Midrange or Flagship phones have LCD as alternative
low cost
and best for people with Oled sensitivity
Personally I like amoled because it's my finally experience after years of buying LCD.
But even I turn off HDR , and use cool temp + left slider the Saturation to make it look more LCD'ish Oled.
I don't like too much punchy colors , because I mostly use phones to watch animation or game picture or play one of them,
Some android phones have oled displays designed with PMW in mind
If you want a tablet check out the Samsung galaxy tab s9 FE, doesn't use PWM
I love the design, because in my opinion a scree should always be rectangular without any rounded corners, notches or dynamic islands. I NEVER use the front camera and I would never use Face ID either.
I hate non-rectangular screen so much that I would even choose the iPhone SE over the iPhone 16 Pro Max if they were the same price. And what exactly do people want to do with their expensive iPhone that the SE can't? Which important apps will not work on the SE? If you buy an expensive phone for a better camera, you should rather get a real camera for that money.
You are to good for apple
Best iPhone SE:
iPhone 13 Mini Design and camera
A18 - Apple AI
5G etc.
You forgot to mention how the battery is like .0000002% better than the second gen SE
worth the upgrade then.
Got a brand new iPhone SE 3 with 256gb storage a year and half ago for less than 110 dollars 😂, best deal ever , still going strong on iOS 18
I bought a 64gb new iPhone SE3 last month for $179.99, the A15 Bionic chip is great.
I got one from Walmart for $150, brand new. It's locked to straight talk, but I was never planning on activating it and using it as my main phone; I'm using it like an ipod touch.
@@misterpuff797 If you want to unlock it just pay for 1 month of service ($35), once activated it automatically unlocks after two months.

Ew why 64 gbs? Unless you have under 5 apps installed you can’t do anything on it memory-wise or usage-wise. Might be better spent just financing a better phone at that point.
I own an SE 2020 so I’m not unfamiliar with that phone either.
@@THEGREENHELIUMwhy you hating if they only use the phone for texting and don’t need more than 64 gb
I love the SE 2022, the low resolution screen alongside the A15 chip makes for one hell of a performer
I’m just switched from iPhone 15 to iPhone SE 3 for the compact form and beast performance and not a single regret..the only issue is battery, but being able to wear phone by 1 hand is luxury experience these days…
13 mini is the same but better lowkey
@@kingklapsyt2991 yes I was iPhone 13 Mini user as well..but the feeling of hold it in hand was better experience on SE..But I couldn’t agree more in terms of battery and camera 13 Mini so much better
I think this phone will hold a special place being most likely the last home button iphone, but nothing can justify paying that much for that phone. If you really looked on places like ebay you could get a 14 pro for cheaper, and the difference is insane. I just got one for 350 and even coming from an iphone 13 the jump is very noticeable
Because you went from regular to pro
It’s also just the SE2 with a better chip lol. Like yeah it’ll be the last iPhone with a home button but it’s just a very slightly better SE2.. which was just a better iPhone 8. It’s the most boring/lazy phone ever
Sorry but I own both 13 and 14 pro and it’s not as big of a jump as you act.
@@brandonreed3670 yeah I agree, 8+ is my favorite home button iPhone
I really hope that an SE 4 keeps the home button. I hope it gets the same treatment as SE 1 and 2, but the home button is the most important issue for me. I can't switch away from the home button!
No lol they removed it, they now uses iphone 14 as the body
I have one of these.
Bought it back in March.
Replaced an iPhone 11, which I probably should have kept.
Waiting for the 4th generation.
No, I didn't pay $430, I paid a little over $250 with a $180 trade in.
Yeah if you were going to go for the SE4 anyway you should’ve just kept the 11. No point in keeping a phone for that short of a time.
Bought it used for €80 perfect fast phone
the best for the next iPhone SE would be for me
keeping the Homebutton and almost everything from the case but changing the camera, display and putting iPhone 16 hardware inside and USB-C of course
Where can I get the Smart Case battery?
@@AdamSergeI got a used one from ebay.
@@staciefreshener4032I wish oled didn’t give me eye strain, I spent a lot of money on my iPhone 14 Pro Max and I don’t use it anymore.
Honestly SE3 is not a bad phone itself it fixed everything wrong with se2 aka bad battery lack of 5g etc overall if you want the "classic" experience that runs smooth with latest ios its not a bad phone
IF you get it second hand as on second hand market its a great value
Honestly the se is great for older people. My girlfriends dad doesn’t want to upgrade from his se 2 because of the home button lol
The iPhone SE 3 exists for the older generation. My father was gifted a 15 Pro, and he later bought a SE because of the home button
No it exists for anyone who wants it or people who want to save money.
No not minor inconveniences NO inconveniences. Despite the home button this is a modern device and performs as such.
If only they make the SE4 in the body style of the iPhone 12/13 mini.
Just imagine Apple making the 4th generation SE the same but with A18 and usb-c
add the latest modem also and it would be so lovely
Me watching this on my iPhone SE 3rd gen…. It was a good deal when I got it for $200 in 2022
I currently have the se 2022, had it for 2 years and I will be upgrading to an iPhone 16 next month
The expression you used at 2:30 should be either “by all accounts” or “for all intents and purposes.”
I love mine, got it in 2022 and I use it here and there, at a times my 15 pro max is to big and bulky, like just going grocery shopping or to the cinema, I grab my SE 3 ❤
me watching on the iphone SE 3 😮 want to add I didn't buy full price but was new
I’m watching on iPhone 6s
So let me get this straight… since 2022, the iPhone SE 3 has always been priced at $429, up from $399 from the last two SEs… when the iPad 10, also from 2022, is currently priced at $349, down from its original launch price of $449; $20 more than the last 5 $329 iPads (iPad 5-9)!! There should’ve been a price reduction for the SE last year… but Apple being Apple.
Some people are actually looking for these
Usually old people who are used to the home button
Also the few who held on to their iPhone 7 and 8 until they were no longer supported and now just have to replace them
I think replacing the screen with an OLED , improving battery in cameras, would do great to the home button iPhones because apparently there is still a market for them
Touch gestures really aren't hard. Saying you don't like the home button in 2024 feels like saying you want to use a flip phone. The only gesture you really need to know is sliding up to close the app.
@@shadowyzephyr agreed but good luck arguing with a boomer
yeah but then battery will tank a lot with Oled unless dark mode , battery improvement in cameras is nice tho, it will be hard to predict.
It’s increased in price since launch at least here. Was 550 bucks at launch now 620 bucks. Although I’ve seen them as low as 200 bucks used in almost new condition.
Planning to buy a used iphone se 3 as secondary device.
You know, many android companies still release LCD displays. You just need to stop being an Apple sheep
@@AndreVictorGoncalves My last android phone was a Samsung Galaxy S4. I don’t like how they change the software every year, it’s annoying.

I bought the SE 2022 and I'm very happy with it, I'm not interested in the bigger phone. I barely use my phone on daily except for some phone calls and navigation... 95% of the time my phone is on mute and on a desk or a table at home. It's to me a very good device since it will last for a while with all those updates.
91tech is officially fed up with Apple 😅😅 I do like these videos, because they’re the truth
SE is the best apple phone in the market; if you take away the camera equation out of the phone.
Ngl I'd like to get it since it is the last square display & touch ID model
The true value in the SE is how in the US you can get it through a prepaid carrier with no contract for around 100-150$. Which is an amazing deal
It's powerful. It's small. And it doesn't make my eyes bleed.
Why would I ever buy the iPhone SE 3rd Gen when compared to rumored iPhone SE 4?
-6.1 Oled display - as I get older, I realize that I don't need a 6.1 " screen. I only use it as a utility and not consumption.
-Notch and Face ID: I prefer Touch ID
-USB-C and Action Button: I had this on phones nearly 6 years ago. Didn't care much then and don't now
-A18 Chipset and Apple Intelligence: A primary reason why I'm never getting another iPhone
-48MP Camera: Ok
-$499 USD: I can get an iPhone SE 3rd Gen for
But truth be told, whether buying it full price or not, I will buy the iPhone SE 3rd Gen because I want to. lol
Too many things in life to worry about other than the design of my phone being considered outdated by people who buy the exact same phone every year or 2.
Im watching on the Iphone SE 3 and i love then phone, it looks like an iphone should. its got better battery life then friend's iphone 13s and i get better performance out of it then my other friend's Asus ROG 8!
i just bought one of these off ebay! and no i didnt pay anywhere near the price on the apple website! i paid 70$ after tax and its only 8 months old and still has 100 percent battery health! id say 70$ for a 5g iphone is a great deal!
The notch is never an option. Touch ID with a button or power buttom embed or touch screen - Face ID no. Never.
I bought this secondhanded, totally worth it
This iphone is mostly intended for businesses as they are relatively cheap compared to other models.
2 years isn’t old. I’m using a 6s which still supports apps and gets security updates.
Some like me like the smaller screen and a home button. Simple and works. Also may I add IOS offers more updates and security unlike android.
So as of this Friday evening (day before yesterday) she's again using the SE....😅
Until next month when we're hoping to get either a new 13 or 14 depending on stock and budget.

My mom got it in 2022 on launch. It was a great deal there, still going strong. I can’t imaging buying that phone new in late 2024
Sure it’s lazy and WAY overpriced but I still LOVE the SE3 and that doesn’t make it a bad phone at all. It’s mainly just the price.
The iPhone SE is the last "phone" Apple sells, change my mind
I know people who got it as just a phone to call and text
Great all around phone! No complaints! And arguably the most beautiful iPhone ever made!
I had an SE2 from 2020 to just a few weeks ago and got a 16. I was gonna wait for a potential 4th gen SE but since there were no announcements for one yet and my case broke, I went for the upgrade.
My SE2 updated to iPhone 13. I believe that's the deal with the SE series. It will update to 13 etc.
Depends on price, I got mine for $139 on clearance with at and t prepaid
Who's actually paying MSRP when they're basically $150-180 new many places?
Anyone who doesn't know better or did not think to look around
@@BrianRamotar_1776 which is an indication of the poor research done in this video. You have to try pretty damn hard to pay the Apple price. Like, literally ignore almost every other outlet selling the thing.
Hey really good video and I think you make a really good point especially when you compare it to the original SE from 2016 were they lowered the price as the phone became outdated. I think like you said it's a good phone to get as long as you get it in the use market at a good price but 430 bucks for that phone new is way way overpriced

hell no, the best part of SE is that its not updated annually.
I'm not trying to be hateful with this
I just got one for my 10yo daughter for 50% off with tmobile so it was only $215 with a new line. I wish I could’ve got a 13 Mini like her older brother has but they’re long gone now
Why did you extend one paragraph into a 25 minute video
Ad revenue. Every video is like this.
Glad to see the iPhone 5c has lost its spot for “worst value”- I still like that phone despite what everyone says about it
iPod touch 7th gen was worst value imo but that’s not a phone.
The 2nd gen SE’s picture quality was quite a lot better than the iPhone 8, thanks to much more powerful processing capabilities of the chip
Thought they were the same
after managing to smash my se2 I picked up an SE3 and an Otterbox for cheap. I will probably run it until I cant get batteries for it or it becomes obsolete to the point where you can't use cellular features.
If you want have small iphone, buy iphone 8 with ios 16. that would be better trade for you than buying Iphone se 2020/2022
SE 3 would be a decent buy for say $299-$349.
THE NEW SE AND THE NEW IPAD MINI 7 WOULD BE BOMBBB BUFGET COMBO FOR 2025
The mini isn’t the budget iPad though, the iPad 11 should be interesting
