This car is for actual bracket racers and those who go to drag strip frequently. The trans brake, line locks, torque reserve feature, beefed up Demon axles, drag race specific suspension mode, etc etc. These are things those serious about drag racing spend over $10k on to put on their Challenger. This comes with it stock and those that buy it will know why it's special. Those guys who drag race their Challenger already will be ones upset. Do they trade in for the 1320 model or keep sinking $ into their older version adding these features to it?
People don't get this naturally aspirated 6.4 hemi will run the exact same quarter mile times as a base hellcat because it has features from the Demon such as the transbrake. 485 hp is more than you think if it's put down right. And lastly, if Dodge has the muscle car formula down pat for the challenger, why does it need to change? I think all of the Ford fans are mad because the Mustang looks like a gay wannabe Aston Martin with a DOHC engine and Chevy owners are mad because Chevrolet no longer has what they used to, just an ugly duckling Camaro that doesn't know if it's a muscle car, sports car, or dumb robot thing. I completely overlooked like, but didn't realize that the 1320 was not a Widebody. I thought the Widebody would better for 1/4 mile times. Although I have seen a new Widebody scat pack race a 2017 392 SRT. Both challengers and the 392 SRT won every race. They did dig, and roll races. Full disclaimer, the 392 SRT did have wider tires on the rear so explains the dig race, but I believe the Widebody kit adds drag. Top speed of Widebody Challenger Hellcat 195 mph where narrow body is 199 mph.

I'm getting ready to order the TA 392 CAI kit. Dodge should really consider putting the TA 392 CAI on the 1320, or offer it as an option. What good is having that nice, open hood scoop if your not putting it to the best use?

I was always a chevy guy but Dodge really hit it out of the park with the challenger. My dad has a V6 one. They are fantastic cars and look awesome. I wish some of the other manufacturers would do as good of a job on the retro cars. The camaros are ok but they don't even look anything like the old ones. They look like a matchbox car. Hats off to Dodge.
