    Rare and nice car. I grew up riding in my grandpas early 65 K code coupe non GT. 4 speed car. 3.89s. in Silver Smoke Gray. After my grandpas passing a few years ago, I took ownership of something so special and found the original door tag in a folder he’s always had.

    Not usually a fan of black color cars, but the red interior and red stripe is a nice combination.

    Just a beautiful car!!! I had a 65 coupe,factory hipo.These cars also came with 9in.rear quicker ratio steering box,almost felt like power steering.Bought it for $650 in 1970!!! Sold it later on,heard guy tore it up,put car in demolition derby!!! Man i hate to think what it would be worth 2day if I'd kept it!!!

      Robert, I know they are very hard to come by these days, fingers crossed that guy didn't smash it up way back when. The K code coupes are the stealthiest of the bunch for sure.

      I like the fact he has kept it all of this time and drives it, maybe not as much but still a cool story.

    Color Combo & Condition Truly A Rare & Appreciated K Code.Saw A Caspian Blue 65 Pre - GT, Fastback on U Tube Yesterday That Was Only Missing the Solid Lifters & 3.89. Rear Gears, That Was Beautiful ,Also,In Texas.The 65 & 66 Fastbacks & K Codes,Especially the Rare Color Ones Are Really Increasing in Value & Will Always Be Cherished,Like This Gentleman Sure Has Done.Only Option I Don't See is the Ralley Pac Tach.

    When Younger generations, not familiar with the 65 fastback, see the fold down back seat they think its a hatchback.

    Have you ever heard of the book "The 289 high performance mustangs by Tony Gregory? I know there are no records for 65 / 66 mustangs. How does this book claim to have production numbers for K codes?

    • @MustangConnection1
      @MustangConnection1  5 лет назад

      There are production numbers as a whole for nearly all years of Fords. There is no specific information, I.e. a Marti report that can take the vin and give you the exact equipment the car came with originally. Those records are only available from 1967 and up. That being said the Mustang Red Book is another source that has all of the production totals for 65-6 cars.

      @@MustangConnection1 There is a video on here of a guy claiming to have a 66 k code fastback that according to that book is 1 of 1. He wants 140k for it lol.

    Could not get power disc brakes - disc brakes came with GT package-no connection with K code -This car has after market wheels and no disc brake pad on brake- cost almost nothing to add- typical buyer
