    K codes already had mythical legendary status in the 80s!

    A very good friend of mine, has a 67 fastback "S" code Mustang, that doesn't appear to be a GT. How rare is that?

    K- code car did not require get packages. GT interior had wrong handles. Wheels are after market. They would have stainless steel rim inserts. Only eleven percent were delivered but nearly 100 percent now have them. (Still a great car) Also missing the resonators on exhaust. (Mine still has original exhaust system) I know I bought my 1966 in April 1966 at age 19. Still have and drive. Made thousands of engines while working at Ford. Sold many working at Williams Ford dealership. I still have the sales slip and salesman business card.

    You guys always do a great job showcasing and educating. Mike’s a natural on camera. Video and audio is solid. Props to the camera man. That slow-mo shot pulling out of the hangar is a signature of y’alls videos

    my favorite thing you used to do is reach through the window and turn the key to start the car. love seeing an old carb car start that way. this car looks like it would have passed that test.

    Where can you get the windshield washer foot pump on a 67 mustang. I have looked for years and nobody has them or even a suggestion other than an incorrect electric pump.

    Had this exact color combo 66 gt couple back in the 80's. Mine was an "A" code but by the time I tweaked the suspension and pumped that 289 ....... it became a slot car that hauled ass.

    How many '66 gt k codes came with standard shift vs. the automatic? In later years weren't the GT automatics designated as GTAs?

    • @PresidentGas1
      @PresidentGas1 6 лет назад +1

      The GTA began in 1967. I'm not sure ANY "K" code cars came with automatics. They only had C-4's then and they wouldn't have handled that motor is my understanding.

    • @nilla003
      @nilla003 6 лет назад +2

      The car featured is an automatic. See the lines for the trans cooler? Also, some of the Hertz Shelby cars were
      automatics.

    • @PresidentGas1
      @PresidentGas1 6 лет назад +1

      You're right ......... although the C-4 was pretty wimpy it could certainly handle a hi-po small block on further thought. I had that exact looking car for many years in the 80's. Mine was a GT coupe with an "A" code and a Borg-Warner T10 manual. Dropped the A-arms, installed Koni shocks and a few other goodies from Mair Racing. It was like driving a slot car and the only thing on the road that could out handle it was those slammed Datsun 510's. Damn I miss that car ........ replaced it with a 70 Boss 302 which I still have but nothing handled like that 66 coupe.

    Just sayin but all that paper work except for the title can all be forged. and even that can be.. Remember only believe half of what you see and nothing what you here.
    Almost nothing when it comes to mustang is 100%

      Anything in the world can be forged. The best ways to have confidence it's real are 1. to know what the REAL THING looks like and 2. to have a documented history of ownership.
