Dr. Stu is an international treasure - I feel he saved my life, at least my quality of life. Thank you for this discussion.
Amazing interview. Hands down one of the best. Great questions asked. Thank you.
I went through this. This guy is telling the truth. You have to read his book ,and read “Crooked” The lies in back industry .
Always love watching & learning from Stuart McGill. Imran, loved your questions and hearing about your journey as well.
Wonderful doctor and wonderful human
The good doctor gives hope and heals
Great questions being asked. Thanks Imran and Stuard for this conversation.
I'm working with one of his clinicians but would like to hear the man himself talk about Perineural cysts. I have one in my lumbar around my sciatic, (somehow I put it there from powerlifting and too much sitting). He must have worked with some at the university.
How would one know if their spine is thicker or thinner? I'm a slender person, always have been, but my disc herniated and I'm not sure if it's lifting or yoga that's causing my problem.
Can something be done for a diagnosis of mild osteoarthritis due to normal wear and tear - to reverse the condition?
😊
I’m in chicago and looking for a clinician that can assess me. Please advise
How I can contact him ?
What if walking makes one have stabbing pain?
If you ask the average doctor they'll tell you to stop walking lol. I literally had a fucking doctor tell me that I'd probably have to stop working out because of my low back pain. I'm 32 and very fit 🤦
How old are you? What's your story? Has walking became painful only recently?
The monied folks get the treatment they need....always was and always will be.
It's a bit of letdown to hear him say he still works with celebrities, athletes etc.
I enquired a few years ago how I could go about seeing Dr McGill for an in-person consult.
Was told he is no longer seeing patients.
Or, in other words, he only sees patients that are celebrities, high-paid athletes and other such people. But he can't do consults for the average person.
I lost respect after that
I think he said somewhere, he does that because successful people have more discipline than regular folks and will have more success rate at getting over back injury. That and money I guess, but he didn't mention that😁
Things may have changed from a few years ago. He may also be strictly going on word of mouth referrals. I don't even want to think of his fee for say members of the royal family, or a pro athlete aiming to tack on a few more seasons or a celebrity.
@@RoscoeStar Perhaps, I'm not sure.
A price or referral protocol was never mentioned, or the types of patients he accepts.
Was flat out told "He no longer sees patients"
Yet every interview he plainly states he still sees patients at his home.
All I can deduce from that comment, is that I was told a blatant lie.
I consider that completely unprofessional.
It is understandable in a way.. as the line up to his office would be from there to Tokyo...
So you think he should forgo making money that's congruent with his expertise because...? He's kind enough to put out tons of content for people to learn from.
There are some kinds of back pain that can't be helped.
If it's soft tissue it can be helped, But if it's bone very small chance.
