I don't really recall anywhere that explicitly states the inverse of Stands receiving and transferring damage though. Maybe I need to rewatch/reread though.

He could solo a ton of characters, and GER just widens the possibilities a ton. Returning to Kaneko, it isn't known if they have a friendship, but both Kaneko and Araki had a dual interview with each oter and they seemed to treat the other well and share some artistic viewpoints and general ideals, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were friends.
