I don’t see Deadpool as an actual psychopath. Vigilante is legitimately a psychopath but has a ‘hero code/complex’ that keeps him from just being a scary serial killer instead of a…well vigilante. Deadpool is joking/funny on purpose…Vigilante is just the way he is unironically.

I just love the idea that a nerdy, average height, skinny dude is actually a psychopathic, sarcastic, badass. Also love how when inside his suit, his body language changes to something more confident
That last bit about his body language changing in the suit might actually be just him as an actor feeling more empowered in it lol. A lot of superhero actors say it’s a real rush to wear their suits for the first time, and that it makes them feel more powerful/important. Tbh, I’d feel hella confident in a superhero suit too, can’t blame them lol
He's basically a homicidal version of Kickass.
He also has powers either he knows or doesn't know he has.

@@michaelhaynes4946 Sociopaths have emotions. They have no conscience. He enjoys killing people, he was hurt when Peacemaker said he wasn't his best friend, and he is fully in love with Peacemaker. He was also very upset over P letting him get tortured and not apologizing after.
His wonderful, autistic ass had one of those rare moments of understanding that P wasn't acting right and stepped in. He didn't even really bring it up after. He just went 'that was weird anyway.'

Honestly that’s my favorite vigilante part; he’s being crazy and hilarious pretty much every scene but this was oddly the most heartfelt 😅❤️🖤

I love how they made him a complete idiot but an extremely competent killer. Going in blind to peacemaker when I first saw him I thought he was going to just be a gag "always gets beat up" character. I fucking love how they portrayed him. People compare him to deadpool but I don't think they're that similar. Deadpool is very witty and is always cracking jokes or being sarcastic. Vigilante is just a straight up idiot, but he's hilarious and extremely deadly. I also love that he's a fucking busboy whenever he's not out killing people

so glad this dude is still alive, this show was surprisingly good and can't wait for a new season, i was expecting a gritty show about peacemaker in the serious motif of suicide squad, and then this dude comes on screen not to mention a bloody CGI eagle. season 2 cant come any quicker

If Ryan Reynolds retires from it or feels he is too old to play Deadpool I think it is safe to say we have an actor who proved he could certainly fill his shoes with his performance in this show. Stroma definitely has the natural sharp wit, comedic timing and can handle improv with ease from what I can see.
Or at least a different Deadpool in the multiverse.

And you also have to define the intended purpose of both to decide what truly "working" entails. Does it entail protecting vulnerable people from tyrants? Or does it entail protecting tyrants from vulnerable people? Moreover, everything is complicated. I could criticize the American police till the cows come home, but that doesn't mean I can't find some things they do right. Better yet, all my favorite real-world heroes make big mistakes. Humans are humans and will always do stupid unfair things. It's just extra scary when they are militarized, organized by the thousands, and given magic badges that prevent them from being punished.

That actually makes sense. My assumption was that they wanted to make him a sociopath but by making him desperate for peacemaker's approval they contradict that diagnosis completely.

She would so fit in S2 if they get actress to come back, because they could build off the idea that Peacemaker tried to kill her at the end of SS movie. Sure, he was super conflicted about it and didn't really wanna kill her. She was easily my favorite character in SS movie. Movie actually made me like bunch of F list DC characters.
