OMG! THANK YOU! I have been watching You Tube Tutorials for almost a week trying to figure out how to do this! Every tutorial I watched had different steps, selected options that were grayed out for me, talked too much or didn’t explain enough. I was so frustrated. I just happened to find your tutorial, followed your steps, and BAM! SUCCESS! I know this tutorial is old but, THANK YOU so much. You have a new subscriber.
I am so gonna do this on some shirts I am making for my family for Christmas. I've heard of it and seen some do it, but you seem to have made it much easier to understand. Taking notes so that I can refer back if needed. Thank you for your tutorials, they are great!
I am making a 50th anniversary gift with a number of photos filling in the 50….can you pls advise how I would accomplish this idea with a collage affect. Or any ideas since you are more experienced
What do you mean when you say print and cut on regular vinyl or Print and cut heat transfer vinyl? I didn’t know you could print on regular vinyl I thought you could only do print on printable htv?
Thanks for this video!! Is there a tutorial on the actual printing the photos and how to go about doing that because I know you can’t Print photos on your Cricut
Great video. Can you use reg vinyl to print and cut this for a glass tile? Also I don’t have a colour printer so is there a way I can design this and take it to a photo place to print and then send back to CRICUT to cut? Beginner here
No. You cannot use regular vinyl it has to be a printable product. yes technically you could just cut letters out of an already printed photo but lining it up would be the hard part
Is there a way to cut an outline cutout of a person in a photo in design space? I essentially just want to use snapmat and be able to cut a photo around a person’s face or entire body, as opposed to only using pre-defined shapes available in cricut?
@@CorinneBlackstone yes pretty much but I want to do it with a photo that is placed on a snap map but I can’t for the life of me figure out how I do it. If I have a 4x6 photo of people on my mat but want to have a cut around their outline, how do I make the offset do that? I’m so confused. Maybe it’s not possible.
Corinne, I'm looking for a way to use Design Space to cut a clip art image up and take out some of the excess. For example, I want to use a clip art outline of a prom silhouette - I want to cut the dress away, leaving only the upper body of the girl. In the lower area where I cut the dress away - I want to make my own decorative "dress" to add to the body. I know I can do this in other editing software, or even the old fashioned way by just doing it with scissors and scanning it into my pc - but I really want to learn DS and see if it's possible. Thanks Corinne, sorry so long! V
Hello. Love your video. I went to transfer my printout from printable vinyl to put it on a tile but I used transfer tape and the tape took my picture off. How would I transfer it to my tile without transfer tape?
This looks cool I'm gonna to try it. But I have one problem whenever I print photos print in black n white. I can't find the setting to make it color on my printer or cricut. Whenever I print normally from my printer app it gives me the option. Would you know how to change it?
Love you video much easier than others but how would I do if I wanna use 2 pics for one letter. I have the letter M and I want a pic of each boy on each side. Please and thank you
When I upload my photos and do all edits and when ask to save to canvas it gives me two selections to "cut" or "print to cut." Need help! Why isn't letting me save and work on my photo like your video?
I have tons of videos about putting printable HTV on shirts and doing this on glass is simple as printing it on waterproof sticker paper and applying it
Be absolutely sure its only two things you have selected. A lot of times its selecting more the two and you just dont notice. If that doesnt work try restarting the project. A few people have had issues with the new update but restarts tend to fix it
Is there some other brand you would also recommend? I was reading and it says I will not ship out to to me I’m i California and also I don’t think it would come on time to me.
I have a circuit explore air 2. I tried this last night and my photos didn't print on my letters. I am fairly new to my machine. is there a certain printer and paper that im supposed to be using? please help. Thanks a bunch
Corinne Blackstone so once I have a picture of my family on design space, I just need printable htv and my easy press no other tools besides to weed it out? Also what setting do I put it on. Sorry for all the questions
Yes but when i was filming if i duplicated it would slow design space down so much i couldnt work with it. Remember this video is over a year old so a lot has changed and improved

I would insert photo then duplicate five times. You should have all the photos you need without reinserting each time. Just a time saver.
I originally did it that way however it slowed down design space that day
Thank you sweetie you help me so much🙏🏽😍
could you possibly do a video on the steps to take for after this section, so the printing part?

Another amazing lesson - thank you so very much!!!
Thanks for showing how to do this. I am looking forward to making something like this using a pic of my little grandbabies together.

Printable vinyl not regular. It has to be a printable product to be able to use it
love it
How do you print and cut???
Can you do a video where you do the actually printing and cutting? I want to know how to do that
I have TONS and tons of videos showing the whole process.
I found them after I asked lol thank you!
is there a way to get like the whole photo to show up on a letter.?
You would need to size the photo to fit the letter. It’s still going to have spots that won’t fit because of the letter shape
Can I take the photo and put it on card stock for an invitation for graduation?
You sure can
Thanks for this video!! Is there a tutorial on the actual printing the photos and how to go about doing that because I know you can’t
Print photos on your Cricut
Yep check the avery for darks or one of the other print then cut tutorials
I am glad you had to bring in an out.
What size do I make the letter for a adult shirt.
This guide for sizing is SUPER helpful! www.143vinyl.com/t-shirt-design-placement-document-htv.html?partner=196113

Are you thinking maybe of an offset? Kind of like a shadow around an image?

Once I ungroup my letters the slice option is no longer available
You’re selecting too many layers then. You can only select two items so the photo and one letter at a time
Hi do need to use an inkjet printer 🖨 or can you use laser jet printer please let me know Ty
Depends on what you are printing it on. You'll need to check with your material
Now how can I print this is this for a shirt ??
How do I get the correct letter size
You can change sizing at the top of the screen or you can use the arrows in the lower right corner to size it
Hello. Love your video. I went to transfer my printout from printable vinyl to put it on a tile but I used transfer tape and the tape took my picture off. How would I transfer it to my tile without transfer tape?
You shouldnt use transfer tape with a printable item. Printables are best as single items and placed like a regular sticker
This is beautiful! Do you happen to know what the name of the font that you used?
Impact
Could you just print the picture if you wanted too in a 5 x 7 in the cricut
This looks cool I'm gonna to try it. But I have one problem whenever I print photos print in black n white. I can't find the setting to make it color on my printer or cricut. Whenever I print normally from my printer app it gives me the option. Would you know how to change it?
When you print from cricut use the system dialog
@@CorinneBlackstone okay ty I will try that.
It not letting me slice is it something I’m doing wrong
You have to select only two things at a time. if its still not working restart design space. its been a little off with slice lately
How do I get it in color , do print the picture and then when I put it in the circuit will it cut exactly where the letters are ? I’m super confused
ruclips.net/video/vPDZ90vQxJs/видео.html
my design space is not making slice an option to pick
Make sure you have only two objects selected
@@CorinneBlackstone ok thank you
What do I do if it doesn’t let me click slice
You are selecting too many or not enough layers. You have to only have two items selected
Love you video much easier than others but how would I do if I wanna use 2 pics for one letter. I have the letter M and I want a pic of each boy on each side. Please and thank you
Put the two pictures on the letter. Slice one at a time the select both photos and click flatten
When I upload my photos and do all edits and when ask to save to canvas it gives me two selections to "cut" or "print to cut." Need help! Why isn't letting me save and work on my photo like your video?
You need to choose print then cut
Thank you
Which font did you use?
I saw Impact
So you need a printer for this? Besides the cricut
correct.
How to do this with shapes?
The same way.
Can u make a video on how to put this on a shirt or on a glass?
I have tons of videos about putting printable HTV on shirts and doing this on glass is simple as printing it on waterproof sticker paper and applying it
Hi question, what if i want to save that into my computer so i can print the picture as regular . Save as jpeg is that possible?
ruclips.net/video/55ogjBCwouM/видео.html
please can someone tell me why my slice wont highlight. Iam only selecting the picture and 1 letter
Be absolutely sure its only two things you have selected. A lot of times its selecting more the two and you just dont notice. If that doesnt work try restarting the project. A few people have had issues with the new update but restarts tend to fix it
Make sure you are hitting select all i just figured this out
I held the letter and it popped up

How do you know the correct size to transfer them to actual wood letters
You would need to do a lot of measurements.
Hi if I’m going to use this method the picture letter on a canvas what printable material would I use? Please help. Thank you in advance
You want printable htv.i recommend starcraft
Is there some other brand you would also recommend? I was reading and it says I will not ship out to to me I’m i California and also I don’t think it would come on time to me.
I have a brother scan and cut i work with canvas workspace but i don't have slice so im having a hard time please can anyone help

I have a circuit explore air 2. I tried this last night and my photos didn't print on my letters. I am fairly new to my machine. is there a certain printer and paper that im supposed to be using? please help. Thanks a bunch
Make sure you attach and flatten.you need to use printable vinyl or paper.you cant just use random vinyl
@@CorinneBlackstone so after is get it as I want it I attach and flatten before I make it? I am a newbie> lol
How would I put it on a shirt? Like get the vinyl to be the colors of the picture
You print it on printable htv then iron it on
Corinne Blackstone so once I have a picture of my family on design space, I just need printable htv and my easy press no other tools besides to weed it out? Also what setting do I put it on. Sorry for all the questions
@@caitlyncarr1642 youd be best to watch the video I posted with avery for darks. It shows you how to do this step by step
Corinne Blackstone ok great thank you so much!
What size font did you use
You want to make your font size based on the shirt
What size should I make the letters for a large shirt? I’m spelling MOM
You can find all measurement guides here
www.651vinyl.com/t-shirt-design-placement-document-htv.html?partner=196113
How do you select two items to slice?
Be sure to onlt have two items selected
How do i know what size to make them for my shirt?
This is the size chart I use www.651vinyl.com/t-shirt-design-placement-document-htv.html?partner=196113
Question? So when I’m ready to print it says image to large . How to avoid that without changing the size of the word I want
You can either separate your print by detaching if its letters or slice if it's a picture
Corinne Blackstone ok thank you for the fast response. And thank you I’ll just detach
Hey can you just put a simple full picture on a mug with the circuit??
Yes
How do you print and cut vinyl?
You have to use a specific kind of printable vinyl or htv...
My cricut design space is not giving me option to slice . Can u help ?
You likely have too many layers selected. you can only select two things. and slice will not appear if you do not have two things selected.
Hi sorry to bother you again but what font did you use?
I believe this was impact
I need the printing part
ruclips.net/video/vPDZ90vQxJs/видео.html
How do you print and cut this
Just like any other print then cut. I would check out the print then cut I did with the avery for darks.
So when you go to make this on vinyl, will you change the marker several times?
You woulnt make this with markers. this has to be printed using printable vinyl, primtable htv, cardstock or something along those lines.
How do you print?
You click make it and then send to printer
My cricket won't highlight the slice. What can I do?
Make sure you only have two items selected at a time.
What am I doing wrong it won't allow me to slice it??
Likely selecting too many layers. You can only select two item.
I am having same issue
I just figured it out. You have to use a JPG file.
Didn’t work for me mine r turning grey n pic is gone n grey
What system is this your using
This is Design space on a Windows 10 computer.
I have The Brother ScanNcut can i still do this??
So what kind of vinyl do you use if this is a print and cut?
Liz DeStefano either printable vinyl or printable HTV
@@CorinneBlackstone where could we find this kind of vinyl
So, im mew to this stuff. How does the picture print on vinyl. Am i not understanding. Isnt vinyl one color?
You have to get a printable product like starcraft or every. You could also print on paper. I have a ton of great print and cut videos that explain it
couldn't you just duplicate the picture instead of re-inserting the picture?
Yes but when i was filming if i duplicated it would slow design space down so much i couldnt work with it. Remember this video is over a year old so a lot has changed and improved
How would I put this on a canvas?
use printable HTV :-)
Too bad you can't ungroup the people in the photo!
Yeah it would make it easier
I CANT SLICE. WHAT IM DOING WRONG
Likely selecting more than two objects at once.
Do you leave the bleed on when you do a print then cut?
Yes always
