    Very interesting instruction, and excellent teaching.
    Both blue gi are not low enough (their feet are too close together) and therefore their right legs are too high on uke's knee, risking injury. Even uke realised this and turned his leg sideways to protect his knee.

    Tai in fact is my favorite technique since my youth. Guys must have a lot of practice to make it better. I recommend to pay attention for work of Tori's head: we are similar (a little bit of course) to a snake, our body moves after our head. Therefore, active work of a head and a neck will make this technique more powerful. Greetings for Sensei :-)

    Something looks off with the blue gi judoka's uchikomi. The uki looks very uncomfortable

      With the 2nd blue gi (Dan grade), uke should not be launching like that from an Uchi Komi. Weight and strength difference might be part of the reason but some of the entries look like a 50% power Seoi Toshi.

    I don't have the experience that you guys do,.bit taking advantage of the lesson, I would sate that an "uchi-komi" for some techniques, like tai otoshi, seems a little awkward. It desestabilizes the uke so that he may fall any time. It would be more practical to use it in "nage-komi".

    should I grip sleeve or lapel first in randori?

    • @arantxaurrutia0
      @arantxaurrutia0 9 месяцев назад

      What you can get first.😅 I prefer having the sleeve, not only for TaiOtoshi, but fot this technique if you have only the sleeve you can execute it one side tai otoshi (sleeve and biceps)
