Great idea and overall inside view on no-gi judo. Quite visionairy too, to start doing no-go judo stuff in order to keep the sport relevant and applicable to todays needs. Like mma fights, like grappling being more and more no-gi orientated etc. I'd love seeing you teaching regular no-gi classes aswell as bringing the stuff back, that got banned but is still very effective like kami bazami, morote gari and kuchiki taoschi. These are all traditional judo moves, that are elegant, nice and effective. And although i see why the IJF changed the ruleset, there is a really big and still growing market for these technics, namely the whole grappling scene aswell as the mma scene. If skillful and visionairy judokas can adapt to this situation and fill in the gap, judo can shine big time in the future.

But guys what do you think about this, people often ask how to use judo to beat wrestlers or how to counter wrestlers, but if you look at it deeply don’t you feel that wrestlers have more to fear from a judoka than a judoka wrestlers, speaking of our takedowns and various submission and the same with boxers

Judo is awesome. When I had a blue in taekwondo and a brown in karate, my best friend had a green in judo. He always beat me in sparrings. A good judoka can sacrifice receiving a blow for a good grab and that’s lights out if you can’t fall correctly.

I'm the nice blue belt like that I will give you a beating but will show what to do after. Another time wasn't so nice and kickboxer trying the BJJ class got frustrated and ignored not only our requests to stay kneeling but the instructors. He stood up with me so I followed him up and after making sure no one was behind me baited him and tossed him.

I think if judo allowed ankle picks, judo would become a greater grappling style and give new, creative options for judokas and allow judo to expand that little bit more, I think single to double legs should probably stay out of judo to keep judo as an Olympic sport and allow judo to stay pure and allow it to be easier to apply itself to other combat sports more effectively. It be awesome if we could get some type of no gi judo or traditional judo for self defence but I think judo isn’t going to change but I wish for ankle picks to be accepted to allow for further growth of judo in its throws, setups, sweeps, e.t.c.

This works for most sport Martial Arts like BJJ only in the Dojo and not completely suitable for the streets.
