- This is how to build realistic dark rides for your park in Planet Coaster. In this episode, I show you the techniques I use when building a dark ride for my parks in Planet Coaster. This mini-tutorial series is meant to give you ideas and inspiration you can implement in your next build in Planet Coaster. Each episode in this series will focus on diffrent parts of a theme park, from entrance and plazas, to rides and roller coasters.

Looks amazing. I have one tip tho: put some animatronics in there, slow moving dark rides allow you too take in all of the given scenery. and I don't think for the time that you spend in each city there is enough. for example: have a Tiger animatronic in the middle eastern palace, or animatronic people enjoying food at the Greek restaurant

Very cool, ive not got the patience to build like that. I was thinking it could have some sort of spy theme. If the aniamatronics of shooting people work.
I like the idea. Almost like a spy game, trying not to get caught.

As someone who genuinely is not good at the theming aspect, and tbh mediocre at even coaster building, I’m still so excited about planet coaster 2. Seeing how amazingly creative people are with this game is amazing, and now we get another decade of amazing creativity!

yeah that was always my problem with the game, I suck at theming. The building tools are super powerful and people have made some amazing builds. But I never liked the complexity of it having to build it brick by brick/plant by plant. You could always download stuff from the steam workshop but even then you had to make sure it fit in the space and such. I could build coasters and such but then the theming aspect just felt overwhelming and I always got stuck in the "OK, now what" mentality.
I kind of know what you mean. But honestly, try. Keep theme small areas at the time. Start small and eventually you get better and even end up enjoying it.

I like the little scenery, but was messing something triggered like a door opening to reveal a hidden scene or so.
What would have massively imroved the build and the change from one city to another city is a door for every scene when entering and exiting. Further, the tracks in the room between the cities should have been seperated with dark walls

They are named climbing roses, I use them quite frequently in other projects not posted on RUclips. 🙌🏼

My problem is that THE BUILDING IS NOT GETTING DARK, please help. I need a room to be completely dark so I can do a water ride type convergence thing
I see what you mean. The only solution to be able to get a complete dark room, is to switch to night time unfortunately. 🥹

@@PlanCoBySeb First, you link the ride cam sequencer to the ride. Then, you click on the sequencer and make sure the time is 12 am so it is completely dark ( I would also add vignette for the best results ). Next, you click on the sequencers tab in the ride setting and configure the sequencer so that it is not for a duration and is on the start of the ride. You can still see a lot of the building around you so it isn’t fully dark but it is still usable.
How did you get the lighting to be dark though, did you just set the time?
Yes. That’s the only way unfortunately. I just switched from 1pm to 1 am 🙌🏼
I have a stupid question. How do I get the floor tiles you use in your videos?
They are called plaster walls on the workshop. I usually use them as flooring instead 😄

@@PlanCoBySeb that's cool. oh like some kind of collaborating stuff, we don't see that enough in the game. a thing that would be cool would be that we have to use each other's creations for each contestant to build a park with that, so it would be rewarding even if you don't win to see your creation featured in the winner's park
