I think that’s already in the game as at 1:48 you can see on the left, the big slide ending in its separate water area, not in the main pool in the centre.
@@brunominecraftguara4827 no that's not what I mean, that's just a small pool, that was already possible in rct3. I'm talking about the end of the slide where you're still in the slide but it's filled with water to reduce your speed. Not jumping into a pool
At minute 8:00 you can see how the attraction that they focus on of that type of hammer has 2 entrances and 1 exit, which means that the express queue has its entrance and exit outside the ordinary queue, that is, the You can place the entrance on the path and the exit directly at the attraction
You really should make sure you have the option to have a ending channel for the slides. How many modern body slides end with plopping into a pool? I mean some of them sure, but most end with a section of track that “catches” you and then you get out. And NO ONE has slides (especially tube slides) end directly in a normal pool where people are just allowed to swim around as sliders are flying into it at high velocity! The only exceptions I can think of are cases where it’s like a lazy river where they have a separate path to the slide and semi isolated landing zone that then eases into the main area.
Man, it is too bad that for the larger rafts they just dissapear at the end. I mean it makes sense, but one of my favorite parts of water parks are the conveyor lifts that bring the larger rafts back up to the top of the slide complex.
It makes zero sense. Like what did they spend almost 8 years of time on? They couldn’t add a conveyor belt or slides with run outs? Like this screams laziness and a rushed game
COASTER OVERHAUL NEEDED! 1. Options for separate exit and entrance platforms. 2. Options for two platform stations with alternating dispatch via entrance and exit switch tracks. 3. Maintenance depot with dynamic train ops. (If the queue gets longer than________ an additional train is dispatched from maintenance) via switch track, turntable, or sliding track section. 4. Custom switch track (extend two track sections from single node, game then creates the switch track to match both exit tracks) 5. Better swing launches that can work with switch track. 6. Drop tracks, bounce tracks (Voltron), turntables etc... 7. Better block section options, the following elements are used on real rides to create blocks while not using block track: (currently only the top of lift hills and block tracks can be used to create block sections, this is overly restrictive). 7a. Turntables 7b. Hold sections (and hold launches) 7c. Launch tracks inside of valleys (see Voltron at Europa park) Can all be used as block sections. 8. Conveyor (constant movement) platforms. This is after all a coaster game! There needs to be improvement to coaster design and functionality. Please implement the items on this list!
@@Kasmuller They can be created as elements but not as block dividers. On Voltron (as an example), they are used to form additional blocks. For example, the is a launch section in a valley that the ride travels over which to most people looks like a standard launch, but if the next block is occupied that launch track is used to stop the ride. That small launch section preforms a swing launch when the ride resumes. Having a check box or drop down on a launch section that says "sequence as block, resume as swing launch" would allow this. What I was getting at was more controllability and creativity over block sections.
My biggest hope for PC2 is adding options for double track stations and separate loading/unloading stations. Otherwise this is looking pretty fantastic so far!!
It does look slightly better on the optimization side, but it still remains on how much of an improvement, since youtube videos are usually max 30-60fps, and we do not know what specs are being used for this showing. But I would probably say its top of the line.
@@pcgenerationstore You're still gonna struggle to get even 30 fps, engine is to blame and is something i don't want to deal with in the next installment. i get there will be some limitations but 1/4 of a full map park build in PC1 not to much scenery with 3 coaster and a few flat rides with 4 to 5000 guests and 20 fps with a 10900k is why people quit the first one. This should be one of their top priorities to address with the new game.
love the new announcements but i really wish there was more focus on adding more to the coaster aspect such as more models, rides, functions (switch tracks, turn tables, etc.) that enhance the options we have for the actual coaster building rather then just water related items
@@baseballdogo I also think it's a shame because that was always one of the main points for me. Details like animated brakes would also be cool. However, the friction wheels are moving again, even though the train is not moving🥲
@@EmeraldBayMovies Yes, me too. I also think water parks are very cool, but for me they are just different worlds and ultimately the game shouldn't lose its main point. It's also rare to have roller coasters and water slides in the same park.
Pathing tool was the best part of the whole thing, really shouldn't have to wait 8 years for a path update, but a lot of the customisation is pretty nifty, still lacking in a lot of areas -hopefully this game follows a more update as we go along kind of vibe since we are getting online multiplayer
Dark show buildings are a must. I'm sure it would take some tricky coding to make it work, but I trust those at Frontier are talented enough to make it happen!
@@NeonGhostin Just judging by the trailer, it appears dark rides will be light rides again. There's that awful glow effect again when the camera is in areas that should be shaded, so no bounce lighting. It mostly needs hardware power. Maybe its an option for high end PCs but I wouldn't bet on it. The game releases soon.
Can you guys add those aquatic playgrounds (Y'know the huge structures you see at water parks with the big buckets and water slides) and make it to where it attracts more guests that are families to the park? I think it would be a neat little thing to add to make it a tad bit more realistic since most water parks IRL have those.
the animation for the water slides (the peeps and tubes) feel a bit stiff, like there’s a set path for them to follow when going down a slide… Whereas in RCT3 the physics were more realistic, if I were to make a corner really steep they would go flying off. Same for when the peeps hit the water, they stop abruptly and not enough of a big splash :( . I hope this is corrected before the official launch. 8:52
@@horst19901 you're probably right. I'm not getting good vibes from this. It looks cool but I think they might go the way of Cities: Skylines II, if for different reasons.
And challenging... I forgot that. There's no point in loads of management mechanics if it isn't a challenge. I don't want career mode to become an unlimited money sandbox within a few hours!
I really hope we can create our own guest (groups), that's what I loved so much about RCT3, where a guest version of myself visits the park I'm working on, or have my family enter my own park! Maybe add some modding support for custom guests? If so, this would go wiiiiild!
Will there be Wave Pools? If there is then will guests be able to surf? Are you able to view first person through the water slides? Will there be options for putting things like water polo or volleyball for your guests? Will all the flat rides return in PC2 base game? Will there be an option for making beaches that guests will be able to enjoy outside designated pool areas? Will there be options for waterfalls? Will there be sprinkler systems we can add in our parks?
Everything looks pretty sick, but what I want to know is if the scenery themes from the first game are going to return. I'd really hate to be missing Cowboy, Pirates, Scifi, Adventure, and especially studios.
They need to give us a way for our parks and creations from Planco to continue in Planco 2!! As a community, weve ALL dedicated TOO much time and detail into our parks to not be able to bring them over!!
@@theharryberry and is lacking almost EVERYTHING that's been asked for. It's almost like we're getting less in this release than what's already available.
I really hope that they improve the roller coaster smoothing. Like in planet coaster one the rides were really rough and unless you were a pro builder and spammed the smoothing the rides would be really, really rough. So I hope they improve that
You should make it so at the end of a flume, using a ring. That the guests have to put it back somewhere ,that you see at most waterparks if not all. Or a park attendant is in the pool waiting to receive the float and send it up a lift, that you see at some waterparks.
In the video the flat rides didn't seem to be attracting many guests which was a major issue on PC, I hope they address the lack of interest in some tamer rides so all rides and attractions gain some interest and queues so they're not sitting there empty!
@@WouterTV People are allowed to be critical, we've waited 8 years for a sequel, fixing bugs from the original game and adding water rides isn't going to cut it for an almost decade wait
@@StevenGumboAppleton but like, planet coaster 1 was already amazing, so this game should just fix things, and add more features, it accomplishes the same things as Planco 1 tho.
Agreed, I don't really see why they did this rather than expanding what was already a decent game with a new water pack. Sure it probably adds a lot more than the other themed packs (with the mascot and shops etc.), but they could have priced it accordingly. I just feel bad for the people that bought packs for PC1... unless all of the paid themes in PC1 become part of the base-game with PC2, which I highly doubt.
@kermisreiziger9616 more secure? There are security vulnerabilities in the first game? I haven't heard about this. I don't really think it needs a sequel for better graphics yet, the first game still looks great, and isn't really showing its age, unless you zoom very closely into the visitors.
Please add co-op park building. Playing with friends and building a park together would be my dream for this game. I don't need the game to have servers or anything cuz obviously that's expensive. But the ability to play with friends through local connection/port forwarding would be such a damn good change.
The game looks very promising! It's also clear that you really take the community's feedback into account. Your studio is doing a superb job! I can't wait to test it all out, especially with the new tools you've developed. I'd have so many positive things to say to you, but above all I'd like to say thank you as someone who's been playing your games since Roller Coaster Tycoon
I feel that PC2 needs things to make the game next level. For advanced players, you should implement a queueing system that is a lot like IE systems like Flexsim. Real theme parks around the world use simulation to determine a lot of things. Being able to customize how people are pulled from the queues (standard, priority lines, VIP things; rates from each line/min, etc) into your ride would be amazing and add SO MUCH NEW play time to the game for advanced players wanting to optimize their ride queues. That would also add an awesome irl element to the game which could easily be toggleable like many of the other "hard mode" elements. Please don't release the same game with the addition of water parks...I have 2k hours on that already! Keep up the goodwork!
This is incredible. But I still have some questions. - Will we be able to disable the path/ride restrictions? What I mean is will we be able to build path closer to rides/coasters? - Can we make the stations smaller, and move the ride operator? - Are the ride entrance/exit gates removable?
A few other people have mentioned similar, but I think the key to making the water park feel good will be a lot of control over the pools and systems within. Water parks arent just water rides with pools that anyone can swim in. Being able to assign pools to rides (so only those coming off rides can be in that pool), adjust pool height, more mechanics around handling floaties and such (so you have to conveyer them back to the top), mechanics that would allow us to create things like Lazy Rivers (which are a stable for water parks) or wave pools will actually make this feel good.
I like how we are adding weather elements. Maybe not for this one but maybe the future in PC3 they could do seasons and have it so you can decorate sections of the park for different times of year and the scenery will show up and disappear when it get to that point of the calendar.
I hope they go more detailed on this sequel! Showing restaurants interiors, Hotel interiors.. & least but a nice detail, as ppl who buys gifts on Just a momento carry a shopping bag, so we can know how many ppls buy at ours gift shops
I hope one of the deep dives shows a full POV of a coaster. There was a small sneak peek at the end, but am a bit nervous. Have been wanted a smoother camera view for a long time
Me too. I became super focused when they started with the POV, because it was a major flaw of the first game. Essential for a game focused around coasters
@@arentsteen5452 It seems to be that the coasters are always perfect from a 3rd person perspective, like when your looking at the ride from a distance from the car. But if you want it to be more immersive its got to have a good first person camera, and like you said the camera in the first game isnt exactly the best. Just think about it, its worse than a roblox theme park game 😂
To the devs.... Excellent jobb with this game. The animations, sound and feel of the people walking around in the park is extraordinary. The physics of the roller coasters are spot on and the flexability for you to customize the park however you want is sandbox delux. In other words "excellent". You have truly made a great tool for creative souls to express themselves through.
We need the ability to put more stuff inside the water, id love to create some lazy rivers.. especially some rapids like in Sea World Orlando!! Maybe consider adding more wildlife.. birds roaming the park would be delightful (I always relax and eat while watching the animals) Switching coaster tracks and swing launches would be awesome.. The game needs more variety of prebuilt facilities- lets you play with a bit more inspiration and benefits lazy folks :D
Very exciting, it all looks amazing so far! I am really hoping that we getting some more smaller entertainment variety such as new game machines and new types of souvenir booths!
Since the coaster trains are customizable now, we hope that we'll be able to fit different theming trains in one coaster! Take Top Thrill 2 for example, it has three different colors trains! ~
@@soclose8394 If you think Planet coasters 2 is immune from screwing up then you're ignorant. The video game industry the last decade have proven that even the best developers can't stop the greed of their publishers. I really hope Planet coaster 2 is allowed time to mature and be refined before it's released.
Are you going to add floating device elevators? Now the floaters disappear once they hit the pool. Would be cool if you can have pools that have floaters allowed such as a lazy river after a slide. Or have the guest bring their floater to a vertical elevator for them 6seaters.
I love this game thank you sooo much!!! PLEASE Keep the music or similar its amazing all these years later still find the sound so relaxing and takes me straight to your game!
Direct control. Why are developers completely ignoring this feature. Id love to be able to become a guest/park manager and run around and experience the park and rides from a first/third person point of view. The camera in Planet Coaster is very janky and being able to run around in the park would help solve this for when you are doing a walk through of your park. It creates further immersion, making it feel more like your park is real, experiencing what your guests are experiencing, rather than being an invisible floating deity. If thrillville on ps2 could do it (a frontier game) it should be possible (plus its not the hardest thing to develop considering the other features of the game). Sims 2 had it on ps2 too but left it behind. It was one of the best features for a creative game to be able to walk around your creations and interact with the environment as one of the world inhabitants. I've even seen that inZoi (Sims like) game are doing direct control thank god. Please bring it back, it would elevate the game so much.
A lot of things actually look pretty good, but there are already so many things that annoy me. The friction wheels are turning even though the train is standing still. The physics of the slides look extremely strange 8:52 and the raft despawns, for example. I hope it's just the alpha and I'm excited.
And the drop slide capsule is too far forward, the door is at the front away from the platform (you can see the handle in the trailer). Really hope they fix that and have the door animated.
@@SliceOfLife93 the dev build of every sequel I've ever seen, still looks better than the original. Especially 8 years later. This doesn't. Especially for something coming out in fall, which gives them 3-4 months max.
@@SliceOfLife93 I am aware of that. That's why I say, anything can still happen. But I think that Frontier is relatively satisfied with the product. They wouldn't rush to show anything if it wasn't good from their perspective. It's said so often that something is still in alpha and in most games almost nothing changes.
Very nice! Can't wait to get my hands on it. I do hope the devs will improve the graphics quality of the water before release, because right now, the people swimming look like they're floating in mid air. This is partly because there isn't enough movement of the water itself, and also the color of the water is too light.

I think that’ll be even more entertaining. However you guys want. Either way IM SO EXCITED FOR MORE!!😆
Don't get me wrong Planet Coaster, you've got a lot of things right here: waterslides, trap door slides, customizable trains, scenery item scaling, improved path tool, single rider, etc. However, we are in DIRE NEED of separate load/unload stations and troughs to end slides in. Slides don't always end in pools, and when they do, the raft doesn't magically disappear just to magically reappear at the top. If you must delay the launch of this game to make these things (and many others such as an improved trackless ride system, switch/drop tracks, turntables, etc.), DO IT. It is so worth it, and the community will never stop talking about these major flaws in a really good looking game!
Looks great! As someone who has worked in a theme park, I think that if employee morale drops, there should be a visual representation of that by them, spending time on their cell phones instead of paying attention to their job Also, additional staff facilities and logistics infrastructure might be a good additional improvement, like warehouse space for the shops, employee only restaurants, etc. I know it’s unlikely, but it would also be interesting if there was an opening and closing cycle for the park so you could have to deal with waves of guests, arriving at park opening and then leaving at closing
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ADD: - waterslide channels (so that some slides don’t have to end in a pool, making it more realistic and safe) - light effects inside the slides (that could possibly increase excitement by small margin and would just look amazing) - all sorts of more niche waterslide types like water coasters, bowls or “plug hole” which allows for continuation of the ride after it and it would be great if you allowed us to mix and match those elements! Waterparks in Planet Coasters were my dream and OMG IM SO HYPED ABOUT THIS!!!
You cant say that because nobody spoke about that. its a very evolved engine maybe they did solve this issue but not want to show it this early to everyone. So you cant say its a hard nope because the game did not launch yet.
It would be nice to build playground for the kids. The way the animals react to stuff you build, the kids react to the things that will be build on special paths.
This looks amazing but please dont rush to get out Im sure me ane many others would rarher have a delayed relase but even more features come with it, perhaps rain or ride sizing such as adjusting number of teacups, and other big highly requested features
please add a raft/tube system where only a limited amount of guest can enter a raftslide. It is just weird seing the rafts dissapear after a guest comes out of the ride. Would be cool to be able to put a raft station next to the raftslides too!
LOVE that you can customise flat rides now, that's awesome! Obviously all the new pool stuff is amazing too. I hope more focus is put on management and the rides, not on designing everything from scratch, hated that there wasn't just basic shops etc when the game launched, everything just felt so bare bones and empty. Obviously for things like coasters / pools that makes sense but give us some stock shops and scenery placements at least. Hope you are taking in the feedback from the people in the comments section as there are some excellent ideas in there!
waterparks, customizable flat rides and coaster trains, brand new themes, pathing system, new coasters, new rides, and there’s still more to be revealed
So no TMTK, no swing launches, no split stations, stations are still WAY oversized, pools are 3x deeper than real water parks, slides have to end in a pool, no hotels, no kids rides, you HAVE to add power generation, and the POVs don't look any smoother than the first game.
The tall slide had one. But it isn't connected to the main pool. It might be possible? Hopefully
@@Kiterunner The tall slide has a pool at the end. Not an actual slide ending.
Dude, I think it's all based on what you decide to make.
Man, it is too bad that for the larger rafts they just dissapear at the end. I mean it makes sense, but one of my favorite parts of water parks are the conveyor lifts that bring the larger rafts back up to the top of the slide complex.
yeah that is driving me nuts. wish there was a section you had to store tubes, and guests had to get them and return them.
Yes seeing them just disappear sucks
Hopefully they add that to the game later on
It makes zero sense.

4. Custom switch track (extend two track sections from single node, game then creates the switch track to match both exit tracks)
5. Better swing launches that can work with switch track.
6. Drop tracks, bounce tracks (Voltron), turntables etc...
7. Better block section options, the following elements are used on real rides to create blocks while not using block track:
(currently only the top of lift hills and block tracks can be used to create block sections, this is overly restrictive).
7a. Turntables
7b. Hold sections (and hold launches)
7c. Launch tracks inside of valleys (see Voltron at Europa park)
Can all be used as block sections.
8. Conveyor (constant movement) platforms.
This is after all a coaster game! There needs to be improvement to coaster design and functionality. Please implement the items on this list!
Great ideas, that would be awesome!
@@abbymcconnell6972 Thanks! I really think that is what the game needs to grow!
You also forgot continous heartline
1. 7b. and 7c already exist in pc1

I saw 6000 guests with at least 30fps, i hope we can double or even triple the number of guests and still maintain decent frames
Thats something that can be done planco 1 with low amounts of scenery and a very high end pc. I9-12900k / ryzen 9 5950x
It does look slightly better on the optimization side, but it still remains on how much of an improvement, since youtube videos are usually max 30-60fps, and we do not know what specs are being used for this showing. But I would probably say its top of the line.
No, thats the same engine as in planet coaster 1. Means with 10k guests you have 20fps on a high end System or less....
@familiehafner8508 Same engine I know, but its definitely been updated since the original planco release

Can you guys add those aquatic playgrounds (Y'know the huge structures you see at water parks with the big buckets and water slides) and make it to where it attracts more guests that are families to the park? I think it would be a neat little thing to add to make it a tad bit more realistic since most water parks IRL have those.

The theme brings back memories glad Planet coaster is back
the animation for the water slides (the peeps and tubes) feel a bit stiff, like there’s a set path for them to follow when going down a slide… Whereas in RCT3 the physics were more realistic, if I were to make a corner really steep they would go flying off. Same for when the peeps hit the water, they stop abruptly and not enough of a big splash :( . I hope this is corrected before the official launch. 8:52

The smoothing looked just as bad as PC1 on the Vekoma in this video.
Then again it’s an old Vekoma.
Yes, we need to be able to use continuous heartline offset instead of spamming the 4m method and smoothing.

I don't really think it needs a sequel for better graphics yet, the first game still looks great, and isn't really showing its age, unless you zoom very closely into the visitors.
I've never been so excited for fall before until I heard this game was coming out.
Please add co-op park building. Playing with friends and building a park together would be my dream for this game. I don't need the game to have servers or anything cuz obviously that's expensive. But the ability to play with friends through local connection/port forwarding would be such a damn good change.
I would love a guest/group creator, like in RCT 3. Always found it fun to check out what they were up to as they visited my park.
Same!! I loved creating my family and friends that I could see wondering throughout my parks.
The ability to make proper dark rides has to be a MUST for this new game to be honest.
Drop tracks and switch tracks and swing launches please we’re all asking for that the most
I like how we are adding weather elements. Maybe not for this one but maybe the future in PC3 they could do seasons and have it so you can decorate sections of the park for different times of year and the scenery will show up and disappear when it get to that point of the calendar.
are there guests peeing in the water ? 😆
the graphic, the vibe, the variety of people's animations is incredible. i cannot wait to try

As someone who has worked in a theme park, I think that if employee morale drops, there should be a visual representation of that by them, spending time on their cell phones instead of paying attention to their job
Also, additional staff facilities and logistics infrastructure might be a good additional improvement, like warehouse space for the shops, employee only restaurants, etc.
I know it’s unlikely, but it would also be interesting if there was an opening and closing cycle for the park so you could have to deal with waves of guests, arriving at park opening and then leaving at closing
can you please add 1° to angle snap in addition to the 15°, 45°, etc. thank you so much and thank you for making this sequel possible.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ADD:
- waterslide channels (so that some slides don’t have to end in a pool, making it more realistic and safe)
- light effects inside the slides (that could possibly increase excitement by small margin and would just look amazing)
- all sorts of more niche waterslide types like water coasters, bowls or “plug hole” which allows for continuation of the ride after it and it would be great if you allowed us to mix and match those elements!
