    The fuel tank drop and fuel pump replacement was a success. I had to use a bit of what I learned in this video again without having to remove the top part of the shocks which would not be needed. That's twice I have done this in a month for different items and I can't thank you enough for the easy to understand video. Just wanted to thank you again and have a great day.

    Outstanding attention to detail and articulate precise instructions! I really appreciate this FREE advice that the shop wants to charge me $400 to do, now I could easily do it on my own semi-pro like! Thanks again guys!

    Thanks for the the great video! I had never dreamed of doing this on my Camaro until I watched this. I tried it recently and had success. The job did not take long at all and was something I don't fear anymore. Bad news is my fuel pump went bad just about a month now after. I have checked out the cut out options and dropping the tank. I am opting for dropping the tank because the car is in like new condition and really can't bring myself to cutting on it. Good news is that now that I know what you taught me I can do a good portion of what I need to do with confidence. Appreciated big time! Have a great day!

    I just completed this job an hour ago. I think the hardest part was getting the carpet back in place.
    How do you know when you've tightened the bolt inside the car at the top of the shock enough?
    Thanks for your help! New subscriber!

    you can also take that rubber isolator down wrap it one time of electrical tape in the right position and then shut the whole thing back up in the car

  • @renaissanceman4054

    To everyone watching this in the future, this video has to be for some kind of base level Camaro, not an Iroc.
    See this picture for the location of the top bolts: www.thirdgen.org/forums/attachments/suspension-chassis/447741d1501888007-how-remove-rear-shocks-rearshocks.jpg
    You get to them by putting the rear seat down and pulling up the carpet, no need to take off trim pieces. Did it today, pretty easy once I actually found them.
    The bottom of the shock is also farther forward, it's just in front of the axle. Not bad to get to if you take off the wheels

    • @CPMest81
      @CPMest81 4 года назад +1

      Don't know why he undid the trim but there is absolutely no difference between any 3rd gen Camaro or Firebird when doing this.

  • @bradnoble2855
    @bradnoble2855 5 лет назад

    I usually put electrical tape around the rubber isolator and the spring that way it won't move around like that one put it back in I know it's in place on the spring

    I just did all 4 of mine, I actually bought the same shocks you did. My front struts were completely shot and it had fuckin air shocks in the rear. The lower rear shock bolts were so rusty I had to use a 3 foot pipe and they ended up just breaking.
