- When I've first heard Moon I didn't quite know what hit me. It truly fascinated me how a drum line can be so flowing although it kept reinventing itself ongoingly - Baard you legend! I understood why there were no drum covers of this song yet, but then again people transcribe Tigran Hamasyan and Konnakol pieces - so the challenge was accepted. I like to pick songs out of my league, and then slowly work towards learning it bits by bits. I'm calling this a drum medley, as I'm not going through the entire song.
This video came to be through a special collaboration with Music Olar AG representing TAMA Switzerland, who kindly offered me to record in their Stock room and play on this amazing STAR Walnut Kit.

@@preisseldrums Any interest in covering more by them? It's hard finding drummers who can pull off Baard's style so well and "mesh" it into their own. I'm no where near the caliber of drummer to pull these tunes off. And I've tried.... A lot. xD

Hallo David! Sehr schön! Ging das schnell in den Kopf 😅? Moon ist ein superfaszinierender Song. Bis jetzt hab ich nie die Time-Signature(s) der Verse analysiert, und ich glaube, ich will es auch gar nicht - es flowt so schön geheimnisvoll. Der Refrain ist «leider» recht klar, aber der Rest versteckt sich so schön 🙂
PS: Dann machst du The Sky Is Red früher oder später auch noch, hehe? Wenn, dann aber unbedingt mit dem Schlussteil, der ist ja sowas von geil, v.a. live!!

I would never attempt to cover baard truly an astounding drummer so many accents naunces etc i have a normal life and not enough time to analyse and or dissect any leperous material so congratulations man top shelf cover
