- Join me today as I'm going to revisit my 2024 goals and habits list that I shared with you earlier this year! Some have been going well and others could use a bit of tweaking.

RECIPES:
Current Sandwich Bread Recipe:
1 cup warm water
2 tsp yeast
1/4 cup melted butter (plus some for brushing)
1/8 cup sugar (or honey)
1-2 tsp. salt
3 cups all purpose flour (or bread flour)
Mix water, yeast and sugar - allow to sit for 10 min or so.
In a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment add the flour, yeast mixture and butter. Mix together and knead for 10 minutes. Allow to rest and rise for 1 hour. Punch down the dough, shape into two loaves and place in well greased pans. Rise another hour covered.
Brush with butter and bake at 350 for about 35 minutes (ovens may vary).
Homemade Mayo:
1 egg yolk
1 cup avocado oil
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp. dijon mustard
Carefully place the egg yolk in the bottom of a wide mouth mason jar (do no break the yolk). Add the lemon juice, vinegar, salt, and dijon. Carefully pour over the oil. Place an immersion blender wand directly over the yolk and blend for 10-15 seconds holding in place. Once you see the bottom of the jar beginning to look white like mayo, slowly work your immersion blender up the sides of the jar to incorporate the rest of the oil into your mayo. Enjoy! I store my homemade mayo in the fridge for a week.

Number 10 is non negotiable❤️we do our bible study with my children every evening and it's just amazing,we all get to lead on different days so they get more involved and engaged ❤

Im glad I'm not the only one who doesn't homeschool my kids. I've tried it, but we are a neuro spicy household, and it doesn't work well 😂. I just found your page, and Im 100% sure I'll be returning 😊

You had a Daily Grace study guide in the Basket scene, I believe. They make such a simple but thought provoking morning quiet time with the Lord. I recently did The Sermon on the Mount study & fell in love again with Jesus teaching us how to live in His Light, His Way and His Truth. If you haven't done that one already, you will love it!
I thoroughly enjoy your videos. You are calm & easy to listen to. I appreciate how you letting us in on some of your mess-ups, many of them similar to mine regarding homemade bread so it's encouraging me to keep trying knowing it will work out in time. Thank you, I love watching your channel!

Hi Lauren, Thank You for sharing another Wonderful video with us. I so appreciate you and your honesty. Thank You for sharing how You are doing, with your homemaking habit goals. Lauren, there are some homemaking habit goals, that I am dong well with. One example is that I am consistently making our bed in the morning, and it's no longer a hit or miss task. However, I still have some goals that are... a work in progress, one example of that, is that I am still wanting to consistently declutter regularly, so that it's not so overwhelming. Well Lord willing, a new day, and another opportunity...to improve in that area. 🙂😉🙂 Again Thank You, Lauren for sharing so much inspiration, and encouragement with So Many of us. By the way, your sandwich bread looks Amazing, and so does the grilled cheese sandwiches and soup. I also enjoyed seeing your Sweet family, the Lovely flowers, and your Beautiful homestead. Zinnias are one of my favorite flowers! Planting them was one of my goals that didn’t happen :( I also don’t like dishes in my sink so I’ve done a pretty good job of cleaning as I cook! Thanks to you, I’ve been sorting my mail as it comes in! Thanks for all of your tips!

I can't stand things just laying around🤔 😀I try to keep up with that. Organization is the key. I am glad I am home most of the time. I remember when my kids were young and trying to compliment me, the 4 yo said, "mom this is as good as store bought bread." Later when they came to prefer it, they called store bough bread "bubble gum bread" cause it would stick to the roof of their mouths!

Thank you! I have had that question several times. Maybe because so many channels like mine are homeschooling families? 🤷♀️ I admire homeschooling but I just don’t think it would be a fit for my family. We like our school and I’m definitely still involved in their education ❤️
