@@crazydee1955I just used hydracolloid bandaids. You leave them on until they start to peel off on their own 😂
The secret for a loose comedone removal is actually pre-steaming the skin!
How do you steam and for how long? I don't really have blackheads but I get them occasionally on the sides of my nostrils and I don't want to use a strip.
@@spiwolf6998Get a bowl of steaming water in it. Put your face over the bowl and cover the bowl and your head with a towel. The towel keeps the steam in. 10-15 minutes should be good.

@@spiwolf6998if u don’t want to steam it or don’t know how then you can shower with hot water or have a suna and when u get out you can use the pore strip
@@spiwolf6998best time is right after a hot shower. And don't dry your face! Just apply more warm water to help the strip adhere.
I also keep these in my first aid kit. Nothing is better for removing those tiny little spinters that really irritate but are hard to see.

These seem more effective in some videos because some people have more oil in their pores, if you don't get results like this, it may not be because of the product, but because there's not so much gunk in your pores.

@@thlyddnot really. you know some people have oily skin and some people have dry skin, right? i have really oily skin. i do my skincare every day and i have really clogged pores. i have oily skin everywhere but the clogged pores are mostly in my t zone. my forehead, chin, nose, and my upper cheeks/next to my nose.

@@callmewaves1160 Same. As long as you aren't doing more than once a week (maybe twice) w/ a good preventative skin care routine, it helps gets those bits that like to fill in pores.
I'm 50, skin has only in past year started to be less oily than all the rest of my life, & even w/ good care there's always a few blackheads that don't want to leave w/o some Strip help.

Excellent video! I am old so my routine is a bit different. I use a daily salicylic acid serum along with a water based light moisturizer. I use a pore strip every couple of months. I've been using this routine for a couple of years now and most people have no clue I'm 65. I look younger than I did 10 years ago. I love your videos and sweetie I could listen to your voice all day! ❤❤❤❤

I also use equate lightweight daily moisturizer. I also use equate charcoal pore strips.

You only have to use pore strips like twice before you have removed all the microfine hairs off your own nose. Those are the hairs that would be diffusing light or holding on to makeup powder. Enjoy your shiny nose forever.

I have been using Biore pore strips for years. The best in my opinion.
Pore strips never work for me, it's like they don't grip the gunk in my pores & it doesn't pull anything out. But to be fair, I've only ever tried Biore.

I thought the same, though it could be cause I don't have much gunk in my pores to begin with, as I exfoliate regularly
Honestly, I believe the best treatment for these is to double cleanse, oil cleanser first, followed by your favourite cleanser.

lol, that doesnt remove stuff stuck in you pores. Or you wouldnt see people who do all that with blackheads,ect.
Absolutely agree. Also using salicylic acid-based cleansers! I have no more black pores on my nose since I use Effaclar (the green one) every day.
This is true in my experience. I started oil cleansing and I can literally feel the stuff coming out of my pores. I usually do it once I notice my skin/nose getting bumpy. I also use CeraVe cleanser with salicylic acid about every 2-3 days and the LaRoche Posay cleanser daily. I use Paulas Choice BHA chemical exfoliant as well. My skin has never been better.

So, does everyone have this on their faces? Is it necessary to peel it off like this?? How often does this have to be done? I don't have acne or skin problems but just curious if any regular person has still much gunk in their face

@@tiasmith3499 I'm hoping it's the latter. I guess it's just that I really want to see the blackheads come out in real time, like so I can look at them and examine them lol.. I'm such an idiot. But I think I am using them right.. maybe not tho. But I clean my face really well and then for around ten minutes I steam my nose with a hot wet rag. Trying to make sure I open and loosen my pores. I make sure my nose is damp because it says it needs to be or they won't stick correctly. And I know it's sticking correctly because it feels like it's ripping my face skin off when I peel it off. But nothing ever comes out except for my little white hairs

Well another reason people don’t like these is because peels like this and pushing out stuff with sebaceous filaments can actually enlarge your pores and make them worse. These are meant for blackheads really which I thought that’s what I had for the longest time till I finally learned it was sebaceous filaments. Using certain products to shrink pores is the way you actually get rid of them like with aha chemical peels or glycolic acid. Although I won’t lie I still enjoy doing these pore strips occasionally because it’s so satisfying to see. That’s why I like watching videos of them too

I had bad blackheads on my nose when I was a teen in the 70's. I scrubbed, used mud masks and nothing really helped. I wish these strips had been available then.

Yeah, salicylic acid did nothing for me. Oxy 10 helped a bit. BuffPuffs were great when they first came out, but the later ones did nothing. Retin-A with oxy 10 was the winning combo.

My skin is not oily but i do have acne and blackheads on my nose.. so when i want to buy products for acne prone skin, they’re targeting mainly oily skin so yeah should i use them or not? :(

With Lanbena pore stripes, I'm 80% satisficed. Comes in a container with ,kind of white glue,stinks,too. And some paper stripes in the box with it. Aply lanbenaand then the paper stripes.
